Always Room for Improvement
The timer works okay and is intuitive. It's easy to tell which of the 4 timers is being set, which are running behind the scenes, which is being shown, and which are timer is sounding. I haven't had a problem yet, but I do worry about the battery life because it takes two small "hearing aid" type batteries. I'll update if there is a problem. The magnet is a little weak and won't work well on a curved surface or low iron alloys found in my cheap appliances. The stand seems flimsy and useless but both are adequate. My biggest complaint about this timer is that the "memory" function only works if a timer is run to completion. This isn't an issue if your life is perfect and you never abort a task, never get interrupted, and never have a delay of any kind. I'm aborting tasks and getting interrupted all the time so this is a huge issue for me. It would be less of a problem if timer manufacturers would provide another button with a 5 or 10 unit interval option. If you have to bake something for 55 minutes, you have to press the button 55 times. Seriously how inefficient is that? Hello carpel tunnel, I'll be your whipping boy this evening. Really, who times something for 1 second with a kitchen timer? In reviews of other devices I noticed annoyance with having beeps every time a button is pushed. This timer also beeps, loudly, with each button depression. All in all, it's a timer. I don't feel grossly cheated but I honestly wish I would have tried this other timer instead http://www.amazon.com/Presto-04212-Electronic-Clock-Timer/dp/B00006IV0U/ref=pd_sim_dbs_hg_1. It has both and add time and a subtract time button so if you need to you could (in theory) add an hour and subtract 5 minutes having to push a button 6 times rather than 55. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * This is my observation and rant section of this review directed towards product designers and manufacturers. The use of "kitchen" timers has evolved past making sure one doesn't over cook a chicken. People use timers to manage their increasingly complex and demanding lives. We have to manage 30 things at once. The kids need to be ready in 20 minutes, we need to be ready in 0, the soccer carpool comes 30, the checkbook has to be balanced in 5, the in-law who just called needs to be excused if they complain about your cooking for more than 5, billable hours for a free-lance client needs to be tracked because even though there are 3 days worth of work planned in the next 30 minutes we're stupidly optimistic we can actually get something accomplished, and now that you mention it, that darn chicken can't be over cooked either. I know many would recommend using Google calendar but my laptop isn't exactly chicken dripping friendly, nor do I want to have my pc or mac running all day to use as a timer, nor do I sit at a desk 24 hours a day. Yes, I could use my iphone, again it's not dripping friendly, nor do I want my electronic "leash" on at all times. I often like to turn it off, and more often I'm tempted to flush it. We do still exist, even if we can't be interrupted...I mean reached at all times. We are multi-dimensional and hardworking, we have little use for products or people that aren't.

Does not work
I had Taylor timer for 10 years and it worked great but it died on me. This one is "junk". It takes clearing and setting it at least twice before it sets the timer to work. If I set a second timer, the first one disappears. I would like to return but I threw away the box before I had a chance to use it. :(

Great design concept, but Not Taylor quality.
The following is my original review. I updated at the end. I've bought various products of this nature over the past couple decades, including several others from Taylor. This one might be my favorite of the lot, although I'll reserve that as an absolute statement further down the road. Not having owned it for all that long, I have some reservation regarding durability. It doesn't feel as sturdy as previous Taylor timers. But, the functionality is great! Easily switch between four events on a single 6-digit display, count-down settings to the second (not minute), total time to 99:59:59 with seconds displayed even after 24 hours! I'm not aware of any other reasonably priced timer with these features. A couple critiques: If I put the timer on a vertical metallic surface (refrigerator), the magnet isn't strong enough. It keeps the device from falling, but it won't maintain orientation and the timer kind of rolls out of level. Since I don't plan to use this feature it's not a negative for me personally. But you should be aware of this shortcoming if it is important to you. Also, I would like it better if it used standard AAA or AA cells, instead of the button cells it uses. Update a few months later: I would not buy this unit again. It is not up to Taylor standards I have come to appreciate. Probably a re-branded Chinese product. It is flimsy. The stand is not likely to survive a single year of careful use. As delivered, LCD display shows signs of battery weakness. It just feels cheap. The buttons aren't agreeably responsive. I'd say the design concept is good. The implementation leaves a bit to be desired. Not Taylor quality.

will not stop!
This timer is so confusing! You set a countdown or a few and after the beeper goes off, if you are not right there to press stop and also press "clear" , it keeps on timing. It is easy to lose trak of what is being timed .I miss my simple triple timer that shut itself of after it beeps.

Nice Little Timer
I was looking for a pocket size timer with a sturdy case and buttons that maintain their settings while timer was in my pocket. This little timer does all of these things plus it is able to accurately time 4 events. For me there are two minor drawbacks: the "beep" at the end of an event is very soft...I cannot blast Queen on the house speakers and still hear the timer, and there is no backup buzzer that I could feel. Still, I would recommend this timer to anyone.

Easy to Use
I have had this timer in the past and needed a new one due to the other one wearing out. I love the fact that you can time four different things at the same time. The only down side to this one is that the alarm is not as loud as it has been in previous timers.

WAS CHEATED THOROUGHLY
WAS CHEATED THOROUGHLY dimension quoted was 17.8 x 13 x 17 cm.. but the dimensions of the item received is 8.5 x 5.5 x 1.5 cm too small to use in my application

Funcional
Funciona bien y no he tenido ningún problema con el hasta el momento. Lo uso para el laboratorio y no en cocina así que me parece muy sencillo de utilizar, sin embargo la calidad de la fabricación no es muy buena, pero creo que es proporcional al precio.
