Best li'l Timer ever
Love its small size and easy setting. I had to take some pills every 8 hours for a week. I just set the timer for 8 hours, took pills, then reset for 8 more hours. Easy peazy. Also when watering the lawn, I just set it for 1 hour and used as a reminder to shut off the sprinklers. There are 3 buttons. Top is Hours/Reset Middle is Minutes Botton is start/Halt Just enter Hours/Min using the top two buttons then press the bottom button to start the timer. The colon between the Hours and Minutes will 'flash' to let you know that the timer is timing. When the time has elapsed an alarm buzzer will go off. Pressing the Top button (Hour) will silence the alarm and Reset everything back to Zero. It has a small magnet on the back so you could stick it in the fridge or stove, ect. It also has a little 'leg' on the back so you can set it upright on a table, if you so choose. The 'leg' is spring loaded so that you can clip it onto your shirt and take it with you as you walk around the house. The digital display is very easy to read, but is not back lighted as far as I know. This is really not a problem as all you have to do is wait for the alarm buzzer to go off anyway. This is my second one as I had the first one for many years and eventually the display started to loose some parts of the number display. However it still works like a charm. So, I was glad to have the two timers when it came time to have one to set for the 8 hour pill taking and the other one for the 1 hour lawn watering. To recap: Small, lightweight, easy setting, Clip - Magnet - Tabletop modes, Battery lasts for years. Oh yea, and the best part is the price. You can fund this purchase from the change you find under the couch cushions. Oh, as one reviewer said, it does beep every time you press the hour/Minute buttons. I kinda like it as it makes it easy to confirm the presses without having to look at the display. Yes, apparently, I am that lazy.

Very nice, and very inexpensive
I bought it because I didn't have a countdown timer, and need one (in particular) to remind me to remove my laundry from the community machine[s]. It was so inexpensive that it was hard to resist. It's compact, yet (just) big enough to operate and read without any difficulty. (At first sight, it looked little!) The buttons are (imho) almost self-explanatory; "ALARM STOP" has "ALARM" on the left side of the button, and "STOP" on the right. This button stops the beeping after timeout, as well as setting the minutes of time to count down. It's also quite nicely designed (in the USA) and well made (in China). At this price, you might expect junk; this is surely not. The display (LCD) is always on, but it draws so little power (think wristwatch) that that hardly matters. There's a spring-loaded pivoting clip on the back that you can tuck into a pocket, and the spring keeps the timer in place. If you simply squeeze the top of the clip to "open" it, a little wire bail (that's what it's called) falls down to keep the clip away from the body of the timer. Now, the clip becomes a stand, so you can put it on a table. Turn it upside down, squeeze again, and the clip retracts. On the back of the clip is a magnet, so you can put it anywhere you have a vertical steel surface (fridge, naturally!) The display is recessed, making accidental contact and possible damage less likely.

It's A Timer
I use it for baking. I like the fact that it counts hours and minutes instead of minutes and hours like many of the other alarms I found on Amazon. The last minute counts down in seconds. It is very easy to use. I live in an apartment and the alarm beeps loudly enough that I can hear it in another room. I'm not sure how loud it would seem if someone was on the other side of a house from the kitchen. All in all it's a timer and it serves it's purpose. My only issue is that the display is always on. There isn't a way to turn it off so "0:00" will always be on the screen. I don't care as long as the battery lasts. I recommend this timer.

Still in daily use after SIX YEARS
I bought several in Nov 2010... and they are still going strong! I keep an activities sheet on the refrigerator and set alarms for up to three things at once using the magnet to position the timer on the topic [oven, laundry, etc.]. I've needed to replace the batteries about once a year [battery replacement is a bit tricky, it tends to get confused but just remove/replace the new battery again once or twice and it sorts itself out]. I actually bought a couple of spares because I had bad experience with other similar timers, but I never needed the spares! Need timers? This is the one.

Can't replace my old one
I had hoped to order a timer to exactly replace an older one I have. But I couldn't find it. I think I read reviews of this one that sort of warned me about it. I ordered it anyway. After using it, I can see how some of the features are annoying. My old one doesn't beep when you're setting it. This one loudly beeps. So, if for example, you set it for 45 minutes, it beeps 45 times while you press the button 45 times. Not good if you don't want the noise to disturb anyone else. My old one allowed the time to be changed without starting over. Ex: if I had set it for 45 minutes, and after it started timing I wanted to change it to 55 minutes, I could stop it at 45 and press the button 10 more times to get to 55. With this new one, you have to stop the timer and start over, pressing it 55 times. My old one beeped a 5-minute and a 10-minute warning before the final alarm, which sometimes was helpful. This new one doesn't have that feature.

CDN Digital TImer
I love this timer. It's loud enough so I can hear it anywhere in the house. It rings for 30 seconds so you can't ignore it very easily. But it's also small enough to stick in my pocket and keep with me if I need to shut off the ringer off right away. It does make noise if you punch in the minutes one at a time, but it doesn't make any noise if you hold it down to go to a large number of minutes. I bake every day, sometimes several times a day as I do when I make bread. It gets a lot of use and works very well so far.

Good gadget
Recently bought a new gas cooker and couldn't get the temperature right on things that really matter (cakes, for example). Borrowed a friend's oven thermometer and found the oven temperature was out by about 20 degrees, so decided to get a thermometer of my own. It really is a boon and a blessing, particularly while I get to know the new oven(s). It also arrived pretty quickly. What can I say? It works. Thank you.

Time under control
To replace one I have had for years. A great little gadget. Works as an alarm clock or cooking timer.

Prima kleiner Timer
