Digital Timer Face to Dim
I am a teacher and have used the original TimeTimer before. I love how the original is bright and you can clearly see how much time is left. I wanted a digital timer that you could see a countdown and bars to see different ways how time disappears. However, the display is quite faint and I have had a few of my students already complain that it is too light for them to see. Especially, if the timer is lying on its back and not magnetized to the wall. I did drop 1 star due to this fact and will, unfortunately, be returning mine since the students I work with are unable to use this version. Hopefully, they will update this version with an on/off switch and make it brighter or an option to control the brightness. Wishful thinking.

Best Timer to help with ADHD time blindness!
I know these timers are marketed a lot towards kids but honestly if it helps, who cares? After being diagnosed with ADHD in my 30s, this timer has helped me curb the amount of time I lose doing different tasks due to time blindness that comes with ADHD. I am still struggling to get an accurate feel for the correct amount of time passage, which I have considered may never happen for me but I am still gunna try! However, as long as I keep this timer within eye sight and easily accessible, I am drawn to use it. It helps me see how long tasks actually take me so that I can plan ahead better and when I finish something early I can visually see the difference! My whole life I have always felt behind and rushing to catch up and this has helped curbed some of that. The main issue for ADHDers is that you actually have to regularly use it for it to make a difference. ;)

Almost perfect for my needs - I love the design, but some issues for me
I wanted to love this when I first saw this, installed the battery, and turned the timer dial. And then I discovered a few issues that bother me. I will use the timer because I do like it. But the issues may annoy me too much after a while. Before I get into the issues, I do want to mention the things that I appreciate about the timer: -- I love the simplicity of the design. You just dial in the time and press the button to start the countdown. I love that. -- I like the versatility in being able to dial in any amount of time. -- The colors are very nice. I have the light blue color. -- I especially love the large numbers in the center and you get the visual bars in a circle of the time counting down. I-- appreciate the magnets on the back that I use to stick on a magnetic whiteboard. Again, I say this is beautiful in its simplicity. It has one thing to do and does it well except for a few issues. The following are the issues that I have with the timer: -- I tried to start it. The button is so ...grrr....hard to press. I initially thought it didn't work and then I pressed harder. -- After you are done using it, I discovered you cannot shut it off. It stays on zero, and I assume it is slightly draining the battery. There should be a long press to turn it off when not in use or perhaps a self-shutoff after a certain amount of time of not being used. It doesn't need to stay on since it is not used as a clock also. -- There is no way to reset the timer. If I made a mistake in the amount of time or get interrupted at the start, I want to be able to start over. -- I cannot set the volume of the alarm beep. I am using it in my office and I don't need a loud alarm. The timer helps me with my daily time management for work. I use the timer to try to keep me on track to completing tasks and assessing my work as I reach a time limit. It also allows me to take a small break after a time. The issues with the timer may annoy me enough to stop using the timer. But for now, they are just annoyances and I will continue using it. This was almost perfect for my needs.

Easy to Set, Sound is Pleasant; Small Digits Display
One of the things we use a lot in our house is kitchen timers. We have a small collection of them for different purposes. My favorite one was similar in design to this, but I simply wore it out. I was hopeful that this one would be a suitable replacement. While it’s a good timer, there are a couple of areas where I think it could be improved. Operation is very simple. The outer ring of the timer spins to either the left to right to increase the time in 1-minute intervals. This is a straightforward design and makes setting the time easy without struggling with small or hard-to-press buttons. It goes all the way up to 90 minutes and counts down by seconds to zero. That’s all well and good, but for my purposes having a smaller interval – even as coarse as 15 seconds – is better. I can use this timer for most of my cooking needs, but it isn’t suitable for other things I time where the interval needs a fraction of a minute. For the large majority of cases, a one-minute interval should be fine. Many timers have a memory of the last setting used, but this one does not. If you need to time something more than once, you have to set it manually every time. The main complaint I have with this timer is the display. The numbers are small. They’re small enough that unless the timer is very close it is difficult to read. There’s room on the face for bigger digits so I am not sure why the timer was designed with such small digits. It works well and I especially like the sound it makes when it goes off. The alarm is a lower pitch than most of the other times with which I have worked and the volume is about right too, which makes this timer easier on the ears for me. I can overlook some of the other design issues (of which most are really are minor things) just because of the sound. This is a nice little timer but it could have been better. It’s easy to set and I especially like the sound it makes when it finishes counting down. It does have a couple of areas that could be improved, though (in particular the size of the digits on the display), which keep it from being an outstanding product.
