Brrr, it's cold outside....but warm in my Teton!
We're rather new to the camping experience, though I'd been warm weather camping previously, now that I have a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout in the family we're taking on new adventures in colder weather camping. Since I'm of the more frigid variety and find myself shivering in my house when the temperature is set to 70 degrees, I figured I had better find us some cold weather sleeping bags. I did a ton of research and looked through so many different websites. I finally found the Teton sleeping bags as I was trying not to have to take out a small loan or sell my last born child to afford decent 0 degree sleeping bags. I knew that we had a camp out in October which could be cold and after a ton of research, I decided to take the chance of getting two of these Teton Sports Bags with the zipped in fleece. I'm so glad I did. My youngest child ended up stealing my Teton sleeping bag in the middle of the night. She was comfy and cozy like a little sleeping bag thief and slept great. I, on the other hand, was curled up and freezing on the floor of the tent while my son hogged the single air mattress on the other side of the tent. The blankets I had just weren't cutting the cold and I had pretty much figured I would just lay awake shivering all night but telling myself it was okay (it wasn't. It was cold, man, really cold!) because at least the kids were warm. I finally realized that because this sleeping bag, laid open, was so large that my son on the air mattress actually was covered with half of the sleeping bag while the other half draped to the floor of the tent that it was possible that I could in under there. I'm not too proud to say that I squished myself as close to the side of that air mattress as possible so I could huddle under the dangling Teton. And it was absolutely amazing, the difference in temperature, immediately. I was warm! Toasty, no more shivering, completely comfortable, warm. I fell asleep and slept the rest of the night. These have to be some of the warmest, best sleeping bags I've ever owned and I've owned a lot of sleeping bags. I'm actually planning on purchasing one or two more in the upcoming year because I love them so much. Now my only gripe, and it's really a small one, is that there's no way that I'm ever getting these bags back into that little compression sack. It's just not happening and I don't have that kind of time or effort. Instead of fighting the compression sack and losing miserably to it, I just ended up going out and buying some bungee straps. I wrap two straps around the sleeping bag, hook together and done. It makes it easy to carry them around and I can store them when we aren't using them. Maybe other people will have better luck with the compression sacks but I know my limitations. I don't have the patience level for that. I don't want to spend 30 minutes trying to Jenga my sleeping bag back into a bag. I wish it had ties on it like every other sleeping bag I've owned. Some nice, stretchy ties on the end would have been a welcome addition, even if they would be removable for those that want to use the compression sack. It would have been nice to have the choice of compression sack or elastic ties attached. But even without the ties, this is a nice and heavy sleeping bag which will keep you warm in the cold weather. I sincerely love these bags. I never tried to zip two of them together but I researched and apparently it is possible. I didn't have the need to do that yet but we probably will in the future if needed and it's nice to know that it's possible to do with these bags. So if you're looking for a tent camping sleeping bag that will keep you warm, this is your bag. If you're looking for one to carry hiking, maybe not so much as it's pretty heavy and bulky, though it would keep you warm if you could figure out how to transport it with you.

Warm, well made, big, heavy. 8 lb 10 oz total--"6-1/2 lbs" listed is for main bag w/o fleece liner.
--This is a BIG and HEAVY bag but is warm and well made. The main bag with fleece liner and stuff sack is 8 lb 10 oz. The main bag by itself is 6 lb 6oz (the fleece liner adds 1 lb 13 oz; the stuff sack adds 7 oz). --It is a lot of work to get the bag stuffed back into the provided stuff sack, which really should be 25% bigger. Do not even try to roll it first. I purchased this 63L compression sack which will fit the sleeping bag rolled and mostly uncompressed (preserving the loft) and, by tightening the straps, can be quickly compressed down to half the size for travel [https://www.amazon.com/CAMPMOON-Sleeping-Lightweight-Compression-Backpacking/dp/B087JHH8KY]. --The drawstring collar is nice, but doesn't close enough to form a full hood. --Two bags can zip together perfectly with fleece liners either zipped in place or removed. (Two fleece liners can't zip together on their own.) --The fleece liner is cushy and comfortable but does catch on clothing and impede movement. This is a hard item to review--real positives and negatives.

Super cozy and warm
Quality made, very nice and warm bag (keeps my always cold body warm in 40 degree weather). I am 5'10" and like to be able to move while I'm sleeping. Other bags left me feeling claustrophobic - not this one. I like that you can unzip it all the way to the bottom corner, allowing it to lie totally flat (and zip to another Polara to make one big sleeping bag). The zippers zip easily and are of good construction. The bag is heavy - about 7# - but, we are using for car camping, so no issues with having to carry it. The inside fleece blanket is very soft and warm, and easily removable for warmer nights or for when needing to wash it. The liner and outer bag both have little pockets in them, which I use to store my chap-stick and earplugs (my husband snores). The pocket on the bag is velcro closure - the liner is zipper closed. The tag says not to machine wash the outer bag - just hand wash. I'm assuming the liner is washable as it's just fleece. **Hint - Most probably already know this, but for newbies like me - it's easy to put the sleeping bag into the compression bag if you don't roll it and then attempt to put it in. Instead, you grab the bottom of the sleeping bag and stuff it into the farthest point of the compression bag... and then just keep stuffing little by little. I had tried to do it the roll it up way 6-7 times and became very irritated - I wanted to throw the bag out the window. I ended up looking at a youtube video on how to do it. I went back to the bag and was able to get it packed in under 2 minutes. This type of packing does cause the bag to be wrinkly though :-) Once it's repacked, it measures about 18" x 12"

Cozy
I've been sleeping in this bag for a few months now. It's very comfortable and warm. Sometimes too warm, even when the temps are below zero I end up crawling part way out. Having a removable liner really makes it a more versatile bag. When the temps are up in the 20's (f) I'll remove it and keep it handy just in case it does get cold. So far it's been very durable. Usually bags stay too have threads come off with this much use, but no issues at all yet. My one thing to compatibility about is how the liner is held in in the middle of the bag. 3 very small velcro tabs that I know are going to fail. Plus, only 3. They should've at least doubled the amount, or more, plus added something at the top to keep it from slipping around so much. Not a deal breaker though

My new fav thing for winter camping
Went to Algonquin last week where it was -25 overnight and I was warm and comfortable in this sleeping bag. I was also in a hot tent where the fire was very very low, so don't go cold tenting in this bag passed it's temp limit. I slept in my mid + base layers on and paired this with my Klymit insulated sleeping pad. The bag is roomy, the double zipper works great, and I love the fleece liner. My partner was even cold in his canvas -37 sleeping bag while I didn't notice the freezing temps other than at the opening of my bag. It's not a mummy style, but there are 3 diff cinch points you can use to also try and keep the cold out over your head. The stuff sack is pretty big, I would only bring this car camping. Getting it back in the bag is a tad difficult, but you won't spend more than 5-8 min working on it or take the liner out to make it easier So glad I bought this bag, it's my new favorite thing. Would def recommend to everyone who loves deep winter car camping.

Comfy, warm, innovative!
Really comfy and warm! Spent a night in the Death Valley Desert with one of these bags, and I wasn't too hot. Proceeded to use it for a few days after while staying at a friend's place. Used it with the "ALPS Mountaineering Lightweight Series Self-Inflating Air Pad". The outside layer feels a lot like a nice puffy down jacket – with a little more room to move around. It's got a few handy features for sealing it up, taking layers out, and storing your phone/wallet/keys/anything else nice and close. Also, fairly easy to clean. I ended up using the machine on the "Delicate" mode and then laying it out for a few hours, and when it was mostly dry, hanging it over the ironing board (I couldn't have the cats sleeping on it!)

Great bag!!
We love these bags! We bought one at first and because of the great quality we had to order another. On warm nights we open it like a blanket and on cool nights we zip it and sleep in it. We haven’t zippered them together yet but perhaps in the cooler fall nights we shall do that. They keep us warm in the tent and the fleece quality is lovely!

One of the best out there
Nothing fancy. Just something which is totally worth the price. Flexible with ranges of temp, comfy with plenty of room

Great quality
Well made. Rated to -18C and when I tried it in 0C - it was way too warm, didn't try it in lower temperatures yet, but expect it to work well.
