Long read, but worth it for backpackers especially
A bit bulky, but there's really just not much else available for doggy sleeping bags. Depending on season/climate this is versatile (ie in tent: sleep right on top during summer, just leave back zipped and drap top over, winter zip up). Just be sleep conscious in colder weather....it's all about the zippers and how much air exposure is needed for the right temperature. Not recommended for direct ground contact. Cut a insulated bed roll bigger than the bed and utilize Velcro to attach the bottom outside edges (not middle cause it will be lumpy and uncomfortable for your dog). I'd recommend this anyway if winter camping as insulation from the ground. Then either install grommets on the corners (or use heavy duty duck tape and make small hole) so you can stake down bed if using outside directly. This is also nice as you can just flatten the bed out, roll it up, and apply bed roll straps (this bed doesn't "stuff"/"compress" anyway). Insulated bed roll helps protect bed if you choose to attach to outside of pack as well. Note: The sleeping bag is not water proof or anything so if your sleeping under the stars in your bivy sack, your dog's sleeping bag is prone to absorbing moisture even if you use a water proofing agent on the outside (never use such an agent on the inside where your dog will be breathing potentially). Also prone to ticks, mosquitos, etc. Again, avoid using any chemicals on inside of bag, even if approved for pets.....the chemicals are not meant for small spaces where your pet will be breathing. Suggested solutions for now since the dog still needs shelter include: 1. Share your bivy sack......depending on dog size this may not even be possible. 2. If weight isn't an issue (ie car camping) get an enclosed fold up outside doghouse.....you'll have to cover it if it rains though. 3. Find a healthy tree and choose a short but thick (width of a lemon approx., any smaller and you'll damage the tree) branch, bend it down, tie a guide line around the leaves/brush on end, and stake it down well (undo first thing in morning so branch can "bounce" back undamaged). Throw small tarp over it.....and you got yourself a doggy den. Now you can sleep in your bivy under the stars right at the opening beside your dog's den. One last comment.....definitely order size larger than manufacturer recommends. My dog weighs 45 lbs and I went with reviewers recommendations to go a size larger than recommended. So glad I did. My review is long....hope something in it helps :-)

For the most adventurous canines
I take my Chihuahua everywhere, she's been camping so many times in her years. I never bothered with her own sleeping bag before but I thought why not. This is a bit large for her leading to empty space, so not for cold weather. Worked as a nice little pad for her to lay on around the campsite.

My dog loves it!
I have no idea why, but from the first time she stepped on it, my dog has favored this over all the other beds, rugs, blankets she has available to her. She’s a 13# mutt I got at the SPCA, old, blind, and deaf. We were going camping and I worried she’d get cold. Put it out for her 2 weeks prior so she could get used to it, and she barely left it. I washed it to remove any manufacturing residue. Came through the wash fine, she loved it before and after. She enjoys scrunching up the top layer and occasionally goes in it. I got the medium, which allows her to stretch out full length on it. Only complaint is the Velcro closure at top of zipper, which gets in the way of her being able to scrunch it up just right. I’ll probably cut it off. Kept her very warm camping. Good quality bag.

First impressions good.
First impressions are that for the price this is a good or better product than expected. Weighs a little over a pound. Could probably be compressed smaller with a compression bag, rather than the stuff sack it comes with. I bought the large size for my 40 pound redbone mix and it's large on her, but she's still growing... if she were full size at this point the medium would have probably been sufficient. It seems like the shape is a bit different than in the photos and it's more rounded. Excited to try it out in Northern Minnesota this weekend.

Milo loves to burrow in his sleeping bag!
I use this sleeping bag on top of his foam bed. It doesn’t really offer enough padding for sleeping in my opinion but my dog loves this bag! Every night I tuck him and he waits for me to lift it up so he can snuggle down inside of it. He’s a 20 lb corgi mix who loves to burrow. It is as durable as any sleeping bag for people. Not too thick but perfect for inside the house.

Perfect Fit!
Like most reviews, I found it to be on the slightly bulkier side. However the inner lining is soft and both of my dogs seem to enjoy being in it together. I think the outer material will be easy to keep clean and I believe it's waterproof. Both my 8lbs. Chi-Chon and 15lbs. Choodle fit snug inside the M size bag which I think will be great for our future backpacking trips. The material seems easier to fold/roll for packing into a pack than the MyBusyDog red/black sleeping bag (which I had to return due to product defects). I'm excited to get this thing out camping with us!

Good bag - Smaller than you think
The bag delivered and its seems like it could be a great find for my needs. Well constructed and feels warm. I have not used it yet but I hope to in the coming weeks. One thing I will note, I bought the large bag but this is anything but "large" and will not fit a truly large dog. My dog weighs 52lbs and is slightly taller than average for her height. I purchased the large bag thinking it would be more than enough for my girl..... nope. It'll be a snug fit so beware if you're looking to fit a pup larger than mine into this bag. You may want to look elsewhere if that's the case.

Heavier and bulkier than I was hoping it would be.
I like it, but if you're considering it for backpacking, you should know this: The medium size is a bit smaller than I expected; my 23lb Boston Terrier will fit in it, but I'd definitely upsize to large if my dog was more than 32-35lbs. The bag weighs 1.33lbs, not including the storage sleeve. If you're backpacking, that's a lot of weight for a dog bed. Likewise, the bag does not compress very much; it seems the insulation is bulky and won't compress down like my synthetic sleeping bag does. I was hoping that it could compress into my small dog's backpack, but there's no way it'll fit. It can only really roll down to a 20" x 5" roll; that's pretty big and bulky. I think for car camping, it's great, but you might look elsewhere for a backpacking bag/pad. I need something with a good bit of insulation because my dog doesn't have much fur (or fat) on him, and easily gets cold at night.

Be careful of sizing
This looked well made and would keep a dog warm but beware that it's much smaller than the measurements suggest. We bought a medium, which on paper is the same size as our dogs current bed, but it was about 1/2 the size inside the bag. A medium is probably the right size for a Jack Russel or Pug.

Great
We have 2 of these for our Jack Russells to sleep in ( spoilt ) Tip for buyers, put a small bed inside the sleeping bag and turns into a dog cave. They love them.

Best pet sleeping bag ever
My cat loves his sleeping bag. He likes to go under cover especially the duvet. So as we bought new sleeping bags we thought he might like one too. It’s definitely a hit and keeps him warm if he feels cold at any time.

Pooches love them
We love these sleeping bags for camping. The dogs weren't brave enough to get inside them so we unzipped them and used it as a blanket. Maybe next camping season. Warm, cosy and good value.
