Not 290 mL!

This is a wonderful little (emphasis on "little") teapot. However, they list its capacity as being 290 mL. It is not. The product box it came in shows it to be 180 mL, and that is indeed its correct size. On a second look at the product web page, there are conflicting capacity measurements depending on where on the page you look. The teapot looks very nice, but was too small for my purposes. This teapot will only work if you plan on using 8 oz cups. I have 10 oz cups and this teapot filled to the brim leaves the cups a good 1 inch shy of full. Returned immediately. 4 stars for how nice the product is, but the product description needs to be updated. Can't speak to durability or heat resistance or anything else, as I didn't actually use them.

Delightful, mostly true to size?

Arrived slightly cracked so I used gold kintsugi on the crack and it’s fine now. The reviews show it stating 290ml but actually being 180ml. The box it arrives in says 180ml, but when mostly full before spilling, I measured it at around 275ml. The spout is rather low, so I don’t think it’s meant to be filled more than 2/3-3/4 full. Otherwise, exactly like the picture, easy to clean with a little pop out metal wire filter on the spout. Great for nice green and white teas or anything with big leaves. Here’s a comparison shot of the pot next to a 220ml yixing pot for size comparison. Had some Jin Xuan tonight.

Best glass teapot

The size is perfect, I use it especially for gyokuro or sencha due to its smaller size. Gives the leaves plenty of room to expand and get the full flavor. Easy to clean and really showcases the amazing liquor when brewing.

It was a nice pot, but it 3 stickers on it that ...

It was a nice pot, but it 3 stickers on it that were very hard to get off (would have had to use harsh chemical like "goo be gone" to get the residue off). It was disappointing. I don't believe in using chemicals on my tea ware, and couldn't get them off by any natural means.

I didn't read the description carefully. This is TINY. It wouldn't even hold a normal cup of tea. Pointless and way overpriced.

一人用に最適

‎180 ミリリットル、ティーカップで約1.5杯分程度です。一人分の紅茶を淹れるには非常に使いやすいです。もう少し大きいのだと、2〜3杯分になり一人で飲むにはチョット多いかな。ガラス製なので、抽出中の様子も見れるのでいい。ジャンピングしっかりと起こるの紅茶派の人にはお勧めします。雰囲気までも含めて楽します。お茶はよく飲むけど、ともかく急須通っていれば、いいというような人にはむきません。茶漉しも十分です。よほど細かい茶葉でない限りこれだけで濾せる。ザルのような茶漉しの方が洗うときは便利だけど、色や風味を損なわい最低限のこの茶漉しのほうがいいです。 2タイプあるので、注文時にしっかりと確認してください。本来なら別ページにした方が親切かも。

まさに求めていたもの♪

茶やコーヒーが好きで、とりわけ日常から白茶・青茶・緑茶・紅茶などを愛飲してします。手元に耐熱ガラスの急須はありますが1人分を淹れるには少し容量が大きく、もっとジャストフィットな使い勝手の良い急須を探していました・・・最近欲には勝てず高価な茶葉を数種類購入。更に茶の虜となってしまい(笑)急いで吟味し検討しましてこちらを購入。もっと早く購入しておけばよかったと思う位、私が求めていた急須です♪毎日が最高の気分。

中国茶を一人分淹れるのに最適

茶葉の開いた様子が確認出来て楽しい。酸素漂白も出来て清潔が維持出来る。ガラスは薄いので保温性は悪い。量も少なく一人分用。吊るして干すと水分が出切らない。もうちょっと持ち手の形状を工夫すれば完璧だった。

重宝しています。

とても良かった。以前購入したものは注ぎ口が曲線で洗いづらく、また本体とその注ぎ口に継ぎ目があったので、1年弱の使用期間でちょっとぶつかってしまった際にその継ぎ目部分から割れてしまった。こちらは継ぎ目も無く、注ぎ口も直線なので洗いやすい。 1人分のお茶っ葉を入れるのにちょうど良い大きさで気に入っています。
