LOVE THIS
Great little tea pot. Keeps tea piping hot and doesn't drip after pouring. The 14 oz makes enough for 1 1/2 cups of tea. Filter is nice and deep. Had tea served from this brand at a coffee shop and found it here online. Definitely recommend.

Made in P.R.C.
Not all products made in China are of poor quality. However, it's hard to trust the quality of products made there. Of course companies lower their cost of production by outsourcing to China. Labor issues aside, which are problematic of course, you don't know which factories that received a contract for a given product are cutting corners themselves. There is a price for low cost/cheap and it's paid on all sides. This is nice size pot for two cups of tea for oneself or for two. As for the quality the other reviewer spoke of I wouldn't praise it so highly. I've purchased stainless steel products before that have gone on to show signs of rust and I wonder about the stated 18/8 stainless steel of this pot too. Upon closer inspection of the joints, the nooks, corners where things meet, the quality is not that great. The design of the basket is nice but the quality isn't great either. If you look at it from afar, or at the picture on Amazon, it looks quite handsome. Upon closer inspection, you wonder if it's worth the cost. Most people stick with the arms length view. I am undecided, I may return the pot and buy a simple ceramic teapot instead. ----------------------- Quick update and quick background. My own ceramic teapot of similar size broke recently. So I decided to spend a bit more on a teapot since I use one quite often. That led me to the Primo. Along with the Primo, I also purchased Zojirushi Tuff Slim vacuum bottle to use for tea on the go. I wanted to use the vacuum bottle today so I broke down and opened the Primo. I wish I hadn't. First, inside the teapot, the stainless steel finish is not smooth, specifically where the handle and the spout are joined to the body. Not a huge deal but, on the inside near the spout, there was some sticky black residue for some reason. This brings me to the most glaring fault of the craftsmanship of the Primo teapot. Good thing I bought a bottle brush (for the vacuum bottle) because I needed it for the Primo. The problem was the bottle brush wasn't getting the residue off. So I did what I could with my sponge and soon my sponge was sliced in places. The lip upon which the infuser rests is sharp. Even using a my sponge I had to be careful. This is just poor craftsmanship, this is the mark of cutting corners. Lastly, where the base meets the wall on the inside is not smooth. There's a tiny gap all around which is another reason why I went at it with the bottle brush. I saw collected black specks all along this gap (yes, you might say I take my cleaning too seriously). Those crevices can't really be reached. Of course cleaning it out a few times with boiling water should put anyone at ease. Still another example of the not so great quality. The infuser basket is not that robust and I imagine over time it would fall apart. Good news is, if you have one of those Finum brewing baskets (medium), they fit in the pot just as well. I am most upset about the sharp lip though. Based on that alone I would avoid the Primo. Then there was the black sticky residue (inside, above the spout??) on mine, then there's the inside base/wall issue and then the fact the basket is not that robust. I was really looking forward to getting the Primo, kind of splurged a bit but I am left disappointed. Now I wish I had stuck to a porcelain pot (if I could just find one that pours properly without dripping). I may contact Amazon though and explain the issue with the lip and ask for a return.

Keeps my tea warm and drinkable for several hours
A holiday gift from my mom--allows me to enjoy the elegance of drinking from a tea cup and pouring from a teapot without having to rush to have the tea. Just lovely

Very high quality. Impressed.
So my last glass tea infuser kettle broke after my cat knocked it off the countertop so I sought out a stainless steel tea infuser. Enter this product. I do not use mine directly on the stove but I imagine you could... I add hot water using a Ready Hot instant hot water faucet from my sink. Pros - 1) Durable. I have dropped it once already on the floor and its totally fine! I do not wash mine in the dish washer but I imagine you could since it's steel 2) Doublewalled so it maintains the tea at a pretty good temperature longer than singer walled devices 3) Design is simple and very functional. The tea infuser is deep enough and the capacity is large enough to allow at least 2 full mugs of tea. Perfect for one person. Cons 1) Might be to small if you are brewing tea for more than 1 person 2) Price is somewhat expensive for a Chinese made teapot but considering the Pros I am ok with that 3) I wish the bottom was doublewalled but I understand because this is probably designed for heating on stove that wouldn't make sense and most people don't have hot water faucets.

Really a great teapot, built to last!
Really a great teapot, I'm no tea expert, but for my loose leaf tea it does the job! The metal it's made of seems sturdy. The tea infuser is pretty long, so it allows a good diffusion of the tea. You can make easily 4-5 cups of tea with this teapot. There's no rubber grips - for some people that could be a disadvantage, because it'll make some parts, like the top cover, pretty hot to grip - for me though it's an advantage, because rubber parts on a steel object are prone to fall off, and I like my stuff to last!

does it fit in your use cases?
There are some reviews about this that I was kind of curious and hopeful about. I wanted a pot that I could drink tea by myself over a 4-6h window and not break. I only steep black loose tea (earl grey) and I pile some tea towels over it for keeping the heat. For this purpose, it works. The tea is more warm than hot by the end of the window, but I didn't expect otherwise. Here are some things I noticed: - The handle doesn't seem insulated, just faster at dispersing heat. So if you do not wish to burn yourself, don't touch the horizontal part, only the one vertical-ish piece. This might be difficult if you do not have sufficient wrist/arm strength but I do not know. If you are using an insulation method like me, it will be hot all over (I take a tea towel and use it to shield my hand). - The inside of the pot itself is fine for touching slowly. I did not try quickly. As for the strainer, it is sharp on the inside (cut myself), but not the outside. So if this is OK for you, I guess it's not bad. I'm enjoying not having to go to the kitchen every time I finish a cup. However, if you think these are dealbreakers, don't get it. I would, for example, not buy this for my grandma, because of the handle-heat+weight issue.
