After two years
The one cup Moccamaster coffee maker makes great coffee. I needed one cup because I only drink one cup a day, yet I love coffee. But as many have said, sometimes there is clogging. There are two reasons for my clogging, 1 is the hole is clogged, and 2 is my filter blocks the drain. Most of the time if I just dump the old grinds and rinse out the funnel until I see water coming out of the hole that hole doesn’t clogs. I lost the the declogging pin but a tooth picks works. The other is the is the filter blocking the hole in the funnel. I usually don’t know this has happened until I return to get my coffee, and if I pull up the filter it starts draining again. The coffee maker gets grungy in the water container and I don’t think it is that easy to clean but I don’t need to clean it every time I make coffee, I usually wipe it out with a paper towel once a week. The coffee maker is heavy duty and well made and I suspect if the water heater holds out it will last years. I like equipment that I don’t need to replace often.

Basket/dripper clogs - read before buying
I really wanted to like this coffee machine but still struggling a bit after 8 months of owning it. Pros: makes an exact cup of coffee with descent extraction. Great for those who drink 1-2 cups of coffee a day. Cons: the cover for the water reservoir is a cheap plastic that is kind of annoying to take on and off when you fill the water. And the worse part is similar to the other reviews with the basket clogging randomly. Sometimes the basket clogs and the coffee wont drain and it risks of spilling. Its also difficult to remove the basket if its clogged so you end up spilling the coffee. And at that point its over extracted and the coffee tastes bad. I found that if I dont fold the bottom of the filter, that it flows better. But I still get clogging once in a while.. This time I decided to use my drill to make the opening of the dripper bigger to reduce the chances of it clogging. So far the drip rate is obviously faster so I now need to play around with the ratio and grind size. Overall, it’s a lot of work for the price of this coffee maker. If I were to start over, I probably wouldn’t have bought this and would’ve gone for the other brewers instead.

Dissapointed
I waited a long time to buy a Technivorm, and I am sorry to say I am disappointed. The coffee is great. It is easy to use. However, Technivorm sent me a toothpick to clean the hole in the filter cup so that it would not overflow. Unfortunately, this has happened to me a few times; most recently this morning. I do use a coarse grind for my coffee. I used the toothpick immediately prior to making my coffee this morning and it still backed up. Not only that, but the coffee maker sucks up the coffee and gounds from the flooded filter and reroutes them into the guts of the coffee maker. I am now left to worry that I did not get all the grounds out and how long will my coffee maker last? I give it 5 stars for easy to clean based on experience. I flood and dump the coffee maker after a back up and see lots of grounds in the sink. I repeat this process until I see no grounds. Now, I have to decide if I want to return this coffee maker, because Technivorm! As well as the fact that I truly like the one cup maker. I do not think I would be happy making full pots again. As the title says, disappointed.

It consistently makes a great cup of coffee
This is engineered to make the same cup of coffee every time you brew. Ten ounces of bottle water, 4 tablespoons of coffee; it takes approximately 5 minutes and you're ready to take your first sip. I bought a Ninja coffee maker and it lasted only 1.5 years. I believe this maker will last for a long, long time, plus parts are orderable and available if you do need to repair.

5 stars but....
The coffee produced by this 1-cup machine is terrific (and I'm particular about my coffee). My only complaint is that, in my experience, you MUST use Technivorn No. 1 filters; I bought Melitta No. 1 filters and they are too small--the water overflows the top of the filter and clogs the basket. So, "No. 1" filters are NOT created equal....

Makes great coffee but it started leaking right after I cleaned it for the first time
The coffee is excellent. After 5 and a half years I cleaned the coffee maker for the first time using the descale product they recommend. Two days later water started coming out of the bottom so I bought another one.

Very consistent!
The coffee machine is very good! Makes very consistent coffee. One thing I find is that since its only pouring water from the top middle, its better if you stir it around while pouring, this allows more flavour to come out from the coffee beans. All other colours are gone from Canada so I bought the silver. Which surprising is way more stain proof than I could imagine! don't hesitate for finger prints or what not, it will not happen. Flaws: The metal tube is VERY hot, make sure you leave it for a bit before moving it around. Wish that the lid is on a swivel or something. Its quite useless if you put the lid back on while its brewing, then you will have to open it again to remove the coffee grind holder. Or this can be addressed if the coffee grind holder can be removed without removing the lid.

Better than pour over
I’ve been using a V60 pour over to make my coffee for nearly a decade and this Moccamaster is better! You can also use a V60, Chemex and other brewers with it but I keep going back to the original brewer that comes with the unit and the Moccamaster filters. I’ve tried the Militta filters and their a big step down from the Moccamaster filters, I’d recommend staying with the Moccomaster filters. It’s really easy to use… fill water to the line, 2 scoops of coffee and hit the power button. I’m using a Fellow Ode grinder with SSP MP burrs, I also use distilled water with third wave water and this set up with the Cup One is really amazing, I actually prefer it to the pour overs I get at a specialty coffee shop. Very well made, will last a long time… I feel it’s well worth the money spent and if I ever need a larger brewer it’ll be the Moccamaster Select. If you’re looking for a single cup coffee maker this is the one to get!

Poor design! After 1 year of use - do not buy it
I have been using the moccamaster for over 1 year! This coffee maker will waster your time and your morning! It get clogged all the time. It only looks good on picture! I have brought it to a local coffee maker and they have confirmed the poor design, laughing at the advertised price. Don’t waste your money on it! Since I have bought a regular coffee maker for 25% of the moccamaster price! Coffee tastes even better and I have never run in an issue.

Perfect for one person
This thing makes an excellent, consistent cup of coffee. All you have to do is bring it the right beans and it does the rest. It's a perfect solution for people who want the freshest, hottest cup of coffee every time, not that lukewarm second cup that you get with a big carafe. The only downside is the filter sometimes gets jammed, so you need to make sure it's clear before you brew.
