Very good but a few issues

Good: The grass definitely mimics fairway and rough. I have a rapsodo setup behind my shots to check distances and there is easily a 5 yard loss in distance when hitting from the rough vs the fairway. It's super portable for when I want to put it away or move it around, folds up easy and folds out the same. In Between: As you can see in the picture the fairway portion is missing a bit of grass. According to my rapsodo I have hit just over 1000 shots. Although not all have been off the fairway portion, likely 750+ have been since I can't hit driver or woods in my garage with the ceiling height what it is. I wouldn't truly put this as a negative because for the price of $60, 750 shots and I can still hit around that area (even though it's getting bigger and bigger), seems like it's doing well. Just to compare vs the range, $10 for 80 balls, that's 12.5 buckets for $125 vs $60 for the mat. I have probably 300-400 more shots I can do on the fairway before it's unhittable, and then can move over to the rough area for quite a few more. That's minimally $175 worth of range balls I will have been able to hit in my garage and didn't even have to leave home. Seems like a pretty good overall for the price. Negatives: There are a couple, the mat does move when I hit and need to move it back into place so it's the right distance away from my Rapsodo. This isn't a huge deal and would be less so if I hit from the section where I would be using a tee. It's about every other shot depending on how much turf I catch on the swing. The second thing is the height. It sits about 3/8" off the ground, so to be true to being on a fairway, you are technically shortening your clubs by that, which can really throw someone off when they go to the real course and thin a lot of shots. The tee section is higher for obvious reasons and should only be used with a tee. I have placed a 4' x 6' horse barn mat to stand on next to it. It matches up flush with the mat and also gives a bit more traction than my normal garage floor. Plus if I put the ball close to the edge it still gives me a consistent contact. All in all I would definitely buy this again. I would probably opt for something that is fairway only, I mean, when do I ever hit in the rough? ;)

The cost

This is a great hitting mat my husband uses to go with the net he bought and the three heights of "grass" are perfect for learning shots from different conditions. He loves it.

Really good value - excellent customer services

I hit so many golf balls off my old mat that it finally had to be thrown in the trash. I went with go sports vs the hundreds of other choices on Amazon because I've been happy with prior purchases. After about two months of use folding the mat up to keep it out of the Phoenix sun the backing tore. Based on other reviews this may be a common issue. Go sports was great and sent me another one. If it separates I suppose I could use some gorilla tape to hold the backing together. Despite this it wouldn't keep me from buying the mat again if the quality of the turf holds up and the great customer service.

Must Be My Swing

Does a nice job of simulating surfaces, easy to setup and store and after about 1000 swings is not showing any wear. I've only been to the range once since purchasing and will say I am consistently hitting a little fat on grass. I've run into this before after practicing on mats so obviously it's me not the product.

Good Practice Mat

This mat provides turf for fairway, rough, and tees. Not disappointed by this mat. Obviously the mat will stand a little taller off the ground than normal, but you can easily counteract that by running another mat to stand on. My area is too cold in the winters to swing outside, so this is a great option to take some swings indoors, and have better feedback than striking a hardwood floor.

Great mat for the price!

So far the mat is holding up well. I am working on the depth of my shot (hitting fat) and this mat gives me good feedback. I've already hit 200 balls of it with no signs of wear. I did however insert the mat into a 3x6 stall mat to make it level and to prevent shifting. Would purchase again once it ages.

Great hitting mat

I take a light divot in real life and have hit at least 500 balls since buying this a week ago and the mat still looks new. The mat fits perfectly with the 1/2 inch foam padding and cheap outdoor carpet allows for the fairway pad to be even with your feet.

Great practice turf

This is made of high-quality materials and is the perfect size for a practice mat with 3 different turf surfaces. It folds up easily and is heavy enough that it doesn't shift at all after each swing. I looked for a larger-sized mat and this one was a perfect 24"x24" square.

Perfect mat for practicing my golf swing over the winter.

This mat is really nice, it's heavy, so it doesn't move much even with the gunches. Only minor flaw I've noticed is the deepest grass part does have fibers coming out after a few month of use, but this seems normal wear and tear. I hit off this mat almost every day in the garage. Very pleased with the purchase. If I wear this mat out-which is a possibility-I would buy it again.

excellent product

Product is solid construction, over 100 balls hit and no signs of tearing or grass coming out. Base is solid and does not move much even on concrete floor. I may a 3/8" plywood base with a piece of carpet to stand on beside so I am hitting with my feet at the same height as the mat. Very happy with product
