Craftsman products have always impressed me

No complaints. Ordered a 100’ extension cord for my small yard and it covers every inch of the property. Depending on your property size, a longer cord may be necessary.

I should've gotten a string trimmer with thicker line.

This trimmer might be good for light work, but the string would break when trimming weeds on my driveway. I did not notice how thin the string is. Also the sound being made when you push the button to extend the string can be a bit annoying. The wheel, the adjustments and the lightness are a plus. I give it 4 stars, because I think it still might be useful for someone who needs to cut weeds in an open area and not in tight areas between concrete slabs.

Works well

I will never buy a Black-n-Decker again. Bought this as a replacement. I wanted a little smaller to get into tighter places (small yard) and to avoid automatic string feed. Black-n-decker makes there money on the string not the unit. The damn thing keeps auto feeded when it's not needed and you have no control. I even purchased a manual feed from Black-n-Decker then after the purchase was told the shipping time of 1 week would be 2 months! Cancelled the order and got the Craftsman. Has a manual feed button up top you hold when you want to feed the line out. Not as powerful but it is a smaller unit and works well for my needs. If you have a huge yard or huge weeds you may want to go with a larger unit?

Usage is important

I saw a few folks that say it goes through string like crazy and I agree when you are holding it on full speed. I have learned to pulse it and I get as good of a trim with a lot less string usage. Also when full speed and the string breaks, it will often suck back into the spool requiring you to stop and rethread through the hole. For the money, it is OK. This is not a battery driven tool, it is corded.

This is Great

I have never used one of these things before, and I needed to tackle a giant yard full of waist-high grass and weeds. This was simple to assemble, and is doing a surprisingly good job on the grass forest. So this tool definitely is helping me tackle yet another project that I was told I could never do. Oh, and it’s kind of fun, also.

Stuck on, lasted about 3 hours total

Update 8/4/21: Craftsman customer service has been very helpful. Trimmer warranty would normally cover the repair but this is a DISCONTINUED MODEL, so they are replacing it with a battery operated one, model number CMCST910M1. Hopefully this battery one will be better than the plug in discontinued one. 1-1/2 hours of cutting on two separate days, and now the trimmer is stuck on and won’t turn off regardless of trigger position. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it… Craftsman puts out junk these days. I guess that’s what happens when they make everything in China now.

salió mal el articulo no funciona lo acabamos de abrir por motivo que no estabamos fuera de la ciudad y acabamos de regresar y cual fue la sorpresa que no funciona

El hilo para cortar cesped no dura mucho, hay que cambiar el cartucho muy seguido

Si tienes un jardín de más de 25-30 m2 considera un producto más robusto
