Not the strongest water movement but price is right
I have this placed on the lower side glass of my 55gallon freshwater cichlid aquarium to help the cleaning of detritus build up in between my rock formations. It seems to stay stuck where it is with the rubber clamping suction cup. I would make sure your inner glass is clean first which will help it stay more. The clasp you or lever you use to clamp the suction cup with is very stiff at first and you almost feel like it might break if you really forced it. I would not move it around very much once positioned. The power cord seems to be okay length for my purposes. The fish like to swim in the current it creates but with a 4ft long it dissipates about half way which just means its not terribly strong for this size tanks. If you want water movement it a okay purchase. But dont expect a lot from it. For the price it works okay but I had to purchase a stronger model for more current to be made. Overall not bad for the price but you kinda get what you pay for. I wish I had returned it for a different one now tho but no big deal

Nice Pump at a great price!
I purchased one of these for my 60 gallon (tall 55) freshwater tank. It is a little smaller (4.5 inches long) than I expected which is a good thing. It is installed in the top corner of my tank and is reasonably discrete. The pump attaches to the glass anywhere in your tank via a suction cup. The suction cup feels well made and holds on tightly. In fact, I had a difficult time separating the suction cup when moving the pump to a new location. Once attached, the pump can be aimed in a broad range of directions simply by turning the pump. The pump stays aimed in the direction you point it very firmly. I purchased this pump because I was concerned that my canister filter was leaving a dead spot in one of the corners of the tank. This pump more than adequately solves my concern, the corner in question now has plenty of circulation. The only drawback with this item is that it has no way to turn it on or off other than by plugging it in and unplugging it (hence the 4 star rating instead of 5). It would be nice to have an inline power switch on the power cord. Other wise I like it a great deal. See photo for a good idea of its size.

Budget friendly aquarium equipment
I was skeptical of the quality of such an inexpensive circulation fan, especially considering some of the cheap quality I've experienced from much more expensive products/brands sold at the big box chain stores. In fact, I've traditionally bought Hydor Koralia ever since getting burned by other brands. With that being said, this is NOT on the same level of quality and performance of a Hydor, BUT it's certainly not bad though. For $10 to $15 you too can get a decent circulation fan for a mere fraction of the cost of a similar Hydor Koralia. No, it doesn't have the additional outside magnet mount featured on the Hydor but the internal suction cup mount is definitely sufficient. It lacks the bulbous shape and likewise the unique water dispersion capability of the Hydor, but it moves water nonetheless. It's quiet. It's attractive in appearance as much as utilitarian equipment can be considered attractive, and it's super cheap. You can easily buy three or four of these for the price of one Hydor and that, overall, is what makes this a supreme value.

You can’t beat the price
Its Vary good to have surface agitation but not detect flow because you can’t control and there are no settings to have pulse and other stuff that can help the coral you don’t want to blast your corals But over all it’s grate for the money and you can’t get anything better.

it pushes water
for $6 or $8, it's fine. i've had one for a while that i use to stir up sediment in planted tanks during water changes. i bought two (total of three) and am using them in a 20-long to try to simulate a river... the flow does reach the other end, but it's very weak and choppy. like other reviews mentioned, this has very large openings and can easily chop up small or curious fish. still working on a DIY solution, but at this point i may just drop $100 on a cheap cross-flow/gyre circulator.

So glad we bought it.
Prior to ordering I read the reviews. Many said that it didn't work for very long and that they had to re-purchase. I was sceptable about buying it, but our tank really needed movement to help with an algae we had. So I thought for the price I would just take my chances. We did a water change and unplugged the Wave Maker. When we replugged it in it did not work. OMW!!!! But I am here to tell you that my husband is brilliant :) he unplugged it again, pointed the Wave Maker down then plugged in again. TA DA it works. Then he adjusted it to where we needed it. Great little machine for the $. I do recommend. We now have 3 of them, 1 for each of our 60 gallon tanks. Not to much movement for the fish and it has helped with the algae issue.

BRUTAL - DO NOT BUY
Upon buying this power head, inserting it into the tank, and plugging it in, we gave it about 2 minutes to start up. Not only did the motor itself not turn on for about 30 seconds, the rattling sound was insanely loud (almost a grinding sound), and the power of the water current was extremely weak. So pathetic that we could barely notice the pump was working. To make things worse, since this brand is Chinese, we are not able or eligible to return it or exchange it for another one. Its so cheaply made that it cannot even be opened to adjust the rotary bit and diagnose the issues ourselves. This product and experience gets a 0/10 for us who have decades of experience in the fish and pet keeping industry.

Defective
The media could not be loaded. Bought it on May 25th and only tried using today. Product is so noisy and it doesn't make any wave of some sort. Tried returning it but it says cannot be returned. I don't recommend this product

NOISY MOTOR. AVOID BEING SCAMMED
Do Not Buy. I ignored all the bad reviews about the defect and the noise hoping mine wouldn't be like that. Upon my unboxing and pluging it in, noticed a rattling sounds from the motor. Terrible quality. What's icing on the cake is that they don't accept returns.

Movimiento de agua para peceras medianas
La función que hace es correcta, tiene una capacidad pequeña por lo que quedó perfecta en mi pecera de 30gal. No crea corriente excesiva y hace que el agua tenga más circulación que solo con el filtro cascada.

Muy malo
A los 20 días de uso disminuyó el cuadal drásticamente, lo tengo que reiniciar varias veces para mejorar el caudal, pasa una semana y nuevamente tengo que reiniciarlo nuevamente, la verdad muy malo el producto.
