Better than any others out there. Ive tried them all.
These are the best available. They don't sieze up or rust. They stay strong. I use them 3x a week on the sea and never need to do a thing to them. A little wd40 every month or two is all it takes. Every other brand I tried froze up solid in a few weeks to months time.

Good Quality crimpers
These crimpers performed well and provided a good solid crimp. The handles are comfortable and the quality seems very sturdy.

Good working plier but could use a few improvements
I am an Alabama native and use these pliers specifically for inshore and light offshore use on the Alabama Gulf Coast. I have had these through most of the 2019 summer season (going into fall now). I have used these on about a dozen trips and several evenings at the bench doing pre-rigging work. Pros: -very sturdy construction -good spring -cutters do very well on braid (I don't cut wire with my carbide cutters) -GREAT sheath -No goofy holes, grooves or crimpers in the plier jaws Cons: -handle arms are spaced a bit too far apart -handle arms are a bit narrow -nose of the pliers can be a bit too blunt First off, I purchased the 8" version of these pliers. I know they are "Bull Nose" pliers but depending on the species of fish you are catching, these can be a bit too blunt to work in tight spaces / small mouths. I do not know if the 6.5" version has a finer tip to the plier jaws. The cutters work great for mono or braid. I have separate tools for cutting wire so I hope to keep these for mono and braid only. Even though I have large hands (size XL gloves), I feel these pliers' handles are spaced a bit too far apart to get a good strong working grip when needed. Also, the plier handle arms are pretty narrow and that may also contribute to why they are not that comfortable when you need to bear down on them a bit. I know this will be very subjective to each individual. So far, the sheath and lanyard are the best I have encountered across multiple models so far (including the Bubba line). Unlike the Bubba pliers, these don't have crimper grooves and other useless "features" in the plier jaws that serve no purpose when you are trying to grab hooks from fish mouths or tag ends of line when cinching knots. If you want something that will crimp, buy a crimping plier to add to your kit. You will be much better served with two separate tools this way than trying to make one tool do everything. Overall, I would rate these pliers as "good" but not my favorite at the moment. I would recommend them if you have large hands but I suspect someone with smaller hands will find these difficult to work with.

Well made fishing tool - 6.5" version
Solid tool and case w/ lanyard. All robust and well made, ergonomic and comfortable. Strong jaws and carbide cutters. A+

Finally found the perfect pliers
45 years off shore and it took till now to find the one pair of pliers that can do it all. Trust me I have multiple holsters for cutters and duckbill pliers and a tuna spike. You still need a spike but these pliers cut everything (so far) and the pliers are thick and sturdy. It is amazing to go out on boats for multiple days and I don't have those heavy holsters around my waste. If they last this season I'll buy 5 more so II never have to worry about them again. Not every pliers can pull a 4/0 circle out of the bone jaw of a 100-300lb bluefin. The aluminum pliers bend my duckbills struggle but so far this plier doesn't struggle at anything.

Great product.
Purchased this because I got tired of buying leaders, it's amazing how simple it is to make your own. Read the tips online before making your own! The long handles and cam action give you more than enough torque to crimp a ferrule on steel cable or monofilament. Best purchase I've made for making my own leaders exactly how I would want to have them. Cheaper in the long run too. Wasn't easy to find cup to cup crimpers as its hard to sort out what is needed for crimping leaders. For what it's worth, you don't want to use crimpers made for electrical wiring to do this kind of work. I found this on accident on Penn's website and think it could use a better push to appeal to the guys fishing saltwater or larger freshwater fish.

Great quality and once I got it sharp has that ...
Not as sharp as I expected for a brand new filet knife. Extremely hard to get out of the holster, but hopefully it will loosen up over time. Great quality and once I got it sharp has that bit of extra length for larger fish.
