Good for compact EDC. Find something else for specialized tasks
Bullet Points: - Very small and compact. Easily pocketable (even for ladies, I'd say). - Clip feels sturdy - metal. - LED is bright, but volume of light is low. That is, it's bright on a small area. Trying to light up anything more than 10 ft away it's pretty weak. For things within arms reach, it works great. - Construction feels solid, sliding cover doesn't seem like it'll walk out. - Charging cable comes with it - that's a plus (no wall adapter / power brick). Wish it could've been type-C instead of Micro-USB though. - Button is tactile. Some have complained it's hard to depress, but I like that it's easy to use it as a momentary switch or a full-on switch. (Tips on using the button below). - Can't speak to durability, battery life, or charging yet - but if this isn't updated to complain you can assume it's fine. Final Thoughts: It's a micro-light, and it's going to have the limitations of a pocketable light. If you are going to need a flash light for some task, work, or activity then bring a dedicated handheld light, headlamp, or weapon-mounted light - it'll serve you much better in brightness, throw, and battery life. If you're looking for a light you can carry everyday, throw in your pocket and forget it's there, and use in a pinch - I think this works great. Tips on button: - The button has a long travel to fully depress. It may be difficult if you have arthritis or weak finger strength. But for the average person I think it'll be okay. - I've found it's easier to use the button by pushing it up from the side (kind of like a side-actuated button) instead of head-on. - By pushing it from the side you can also push and hold it halfway down to use it as a momentary switch and then fully depress it when you want to keep the light on.

Great little light
Just purchased this one as my second one, actually, my wife’s first. I’ve enjoyed my own enough over the last few years that we finally broke down and got her one for herself, as well as a new battery for my own, as my battery wasn’t holding a charge for nearly as long as it used to (which should be expected for any battery that’s 4 years old). My own, in coyote has the high on first, which originally, I loved, but being a high lumen flashlight that runs off of essentially one triple a sized battery, you’re not going to enjoy a long run time, let alone peak brightness for long at all. I opted this time around for the one that starts on low. We use these primarily as camping flashlights clipped to our hats to keep us hands free at night yet still we can easily see!

Super bright.
I work maintenance so having a flashlight is a must. I didn’t realize this was a rechargeable flashlight which I’m actually not fond of. I don’t like having to take the time to charge it especially if I’m needing it. This is a smaller flashlight which is great because it fits in my maintenance pouch. I’ve noticed there is 2 brightness settings. The beam can be adjustable by pulling up on the top of the flashlight. This is also where the charging port is. Stream light is one of my favorites. I’ve always had lunch with streamlight. Just don’t leave them laying around because that’s the reason I’ve owned 4 different lights. That’s also why I had to buy this one. Lol. I’ve only dropped this once but usually I’ve never had a problem after dropping a streamlight. Working maintenance it seems they get dropped alot. Regardless I really like this light and I would definitely recommend getting.

I gave it a 4...
Very cool, very cute. Its the last small/key chain light I'll ever need to buy. I gave it a 4 for the hat clip, pocket size and color. I should have given it a 3 for brightness tho ????. Ordering the Olight next, ????. UPDATE: i was completely wrong about this flashlight ???? ????. I tested it in the daylight, because I've been using Streamlights Stingers for 20 years as an Exterminator. So, i was expecting heavy results. Tho, when i used it in the dark, (as it was ment for, lol) it was amazingly bright. My Olight came shortly after and its a no brainer. The Streamlight Microstream wins, hands down! More manageable. The button placement is well thought out and Brighter! Yes, brighter! The Olight has a scattered beam and the Streamlight has a focused beam ???? ????. Also, the Olight's side button is nonexistent in a pair of gloves. Dumb design. Flimsy and non waterproof. Stick with this one, its half the price too! So im giving it a 5 rating! Streamlight does it again, ???? They need to make brighter colors, so you dont loose it! I used a green dish pad to clean off dried cement under water yesterday and the paint held, ????! No scratches and lettering held up! ????

Best “Pocket Light” for the price!
So good I bought two!! Pictured is my old MicroStream USB clipped to my new hard hat. I’ve ran this tan one EDC for four months now and have zero complaints. I bought a new black one to use as my more permanent EDC helmet light. (Because the clip is new and not stretched out from me accidentally stretching the clip when I wanted to try flipping the direction of the clip) to clarify you can do it just be smart where you apply leverage, don’t just pull on the clip… I only use it a couple short times per day, and need to charge it less than once a month! There are plenty of reviews out there, but you never know how convenient it is to be able to clip this lightweight super bright flashlight wherever you’re working until you’ve done it yourself! Awesome little flashlight! Worth the $! Buy it!

Great for shop use!
I use this as a machinist for looking inside and under the machines (checking inserts, tools, and doing routine maintenance). This flashlight is compact and very bright. Co-workers are jealous of the light it emits and ask where I got it. The USB charger is covered by sliding the light end back and forth. Took me a minute to find, but I like the protective design.

Lightweight
Lovely flashlight, fly with me wherever I go. The only cons is the micro USB port to recharge the battery.

My favourite
I love this light. It's small and compact but yet it gets bright enough, and the battery lasts longer than I was expecting for its size. It's a great buy.

Not quite my preference
This is my 4th Streamlight and it is nice construction, nice fit and finish. Where it is lacking for me is the tail button, unnecessarily hard to press in, and have seen other reviews mention the same. Also, the head can be pulled forward to make a tighter beam. But others I have that do this have the lens on the end, so it is also changing to focus. This one is just a "tube" that extends forward, with the head and lens remaining where they are. So, this is not really refocusing, but just cutting the sides of the beam off. Besides that, nothing else all that special, making this a good flashlight. Which is not a problem but with Streamlight, you pay a bit more for their name and reputation and I find that this, plus 2 other Streamlight's I have to be underwhelming. I have heard some other flashlight geeks state that Streamlight has not kept up with the competition, but still charge for a premium product. I tend to agree with that assessment. Overall, a very good product, but not enough to justify the price and reputation

Great little EDC light!
As I write this review, I've had the flashlight in my possession for less than an hour. I purchased the MicroStream USB based on past experience with other Streamlight products. The packaging was plain and nondescript, containing the flashlight in a small bubble bag, a lanyard cord and an instructional booklet. My only hesitation about purchasing this light was - as I read in many reviews - difficulty selecting high brightness mode. I can happily say that I was able to activate it on my first, second and third attempts. If you can double click a mouse, you should be able to select modes on this flashlight. It's now receiving its first charge and I will be taking it to the cottage for the weekend. I'll update my review once I have a better impression of performance. EDIT - 6 Month Update: I’ve carried this light as my EDC companion for the past six months. In this time it’s seen a lot of use. The tail cap switch has loosened up, but shows no sign of wearing out. The brightness is perfect for what it is. Low is very useable and high is great for those times when you need a little more reach. The output drops after using the light intermittently on a daily basis for around two weeks. USB charging is fast, and when needed I plug it in during the day. I’m an EDC geek and this is the best small light I’ve ever owned. The exterior finish and anodizing has some wear from rubbing against my Benchmade mini Griptilian, but that is to be expected. Overall A+++
