Questionable fit
I finally got around to installing these on my Craftsman 3.0 21in snow blower model 536-884582. As others have posted, drilled out the rivets and replaced with 1/4-20 x 0.75in bolts and nuts. Used regular washers and Blue 242 Loctite (yes, actually the brand, too!). Installation was fairly unremarkable if you are handy at all. What I have noticed is that the middle blades or paddles are noticeably on the long side and do interfere with the auger housing- I believe its the actual scraper blade- during operation producing a rapid, loud thwack-thwack-thwack noise. I don't mind the noise so much but there are two issues which worry and annoy me. 1. Will this reduce scraper blade life? I suspect not really, but maybe? 2. Because the middle paddles now extend past the scraper the blower tends to kick some snow back and under the snowblower. Not a huge amount but it does keep it from leaving that nice "snowblowed" looking path. One could probably trim the blades down, but with the fiber reinforced rubber they are made of this would be quite a chore. I will just wait and see how they wear naturally. For the price you can't go wrong, especially if you are willing to modify or deal with the middle paddles being too long. In the interest of full disclosure I have never tried replacement paddles from another source so I cannot say if this is a normal thing or not- I certainly would not expect (or accept) it from a brand new unit.

Worked perfectly on a 22" 2002 4.5HP Murray 2-Cycle Single Stage Blower.
Mustgamble review above is spot on - I went with stainless steel bolts, the nylon nuts and some locktite. My blower is 13 year old Murray 4.5HP Single Stage blower that still runs and starts as easy as the day I bought it, but the paddles were worn down to the metal on the Auger. This whole job took me about three hours to do. The worst was drilling out the old rivets, but once I decided to upgrade to Cobalt drill bits I had them out in no time. Some of the rivets are hard to get to, so I would recommend using a "Right Angle" or "Close-Quarters" drill on this. While I was at it, a re-spray painted the Auger with some rustoleum gloss-black to seal it up where it had started to rust a little. I used an air-ratchet to tighten down the 30 bolts, and had the paddled mounted in no time. I didn't have to do any trimming on the paddles, and there is a certain way they go on. If the holes aren't lining up exactly, flip the paddle over and try it from the other side. Now my little blower looks like it has "teeth", and am looking forward to trying it out on the next snow fall. I am hoping the bolts/nuts will help break up icier snow that the original design did. The new scraper bar shows up tonight, and once I have that on, I'm all done!

UPDATE Nov 2016: NOT THE RIGHT FIT FOR Craftswman 536.885214 despite being listed as the replacement part #, either they are not that part OR the manufacturing/quality control is poor. VERY POOR FIT. I reordered from another vendor with same model # 302565 and got the correct fitting set! If you think you have to trim, or the screw holes don't line up, etc. RETURN THEM and order from another vendor. For my 3HP 1982 Craftsman these worked great (see below). For the 5hp Craftsman 536.885214 I got from a neighbor these are listed as correct but require significant modification/trimming to make work. I'm not at all happy about that, because the mods you make affect how well it throws snow (you aren't going to cut it machine precise no matter how hard you try). It's a hack. I had to buy a 2nd set for the 5hp or the machine is sloppy clearing snow. I hope that brand is better. ------------------------------- [original review] The paddles on the old Craftsman 2 stroke thrower were original and over 30 yrs old. Surprised to find these on Amazon. Had to drill out about 30 rivets to get it replaced, and buy a bunch of stainless steel hardware (about $10 for the hardware at True Value), but once done it brought the thrower back to life. Moves snow much better. Drilling the old one off was tricky in spots, I used a right angle drill on a few. Couple had to be drilled out sideways but no big deal, didn't hurt anything. Check other reviews for the hardware sizes - I seem to recall 5/16" x 3/4" but don't quote me. I used locktite to prevent vibration loosening and big washers to spread the stress across more rubber.

Appears to replace craftsman/Murray rubber paddles as advertised.
Purchased to replace the rubber paddles on a craftsman/Murray 22" snowblower, which has no replacement part for the paddles only. One must instead purchase the entire anger unit of rubber paddles, steel vanes and central axel; all for over $100 . . . For an 11 year old machine I bought for $20. The Amazon listing noted that these replacement paddles will fit these craftsman/Murray units, and they do . . . For the most part. The center rubber paddles which expel snow from the machine are at least an inch narrower than the steel vane on which they're mounted and the old rubber ones I removed. I believe it'll still work OK, but I won't know for sure until snow flies. Installation does require drilling out the old rivets to remove the original rubber. I used 1/4" carriage bolts x 3/4" long with lock nuts to install the new rubber. Using galvanized or stainless hardware would probably be advisable, but I didn't want to spend the extra money over just zinc plated. That way I'll have something to cuss about in a couple three years when I next need to replace the rubber.

Fit Sears 536.884232 3/20 Craftsman perfectly.
Also had to tighten drive belt by swapping hook point on cable.
