Chains for the blower......
Worked as expected. Less money then the big box stores. The orange one didn't have them in stock , the help did not know if he could get them at all. I would purchase these again from Amazon group.

Oh no !
I put chains on just about everything I can put a chain on these gave me a fight. First I deflated the tires and laid out the chain. Man o man what a job putting them on the tires. I literally used a woodworking ratcheting bar clamp to cinch these chains together. It wasn't easy! I had to get the clamp just right for it to work. I tried by hand for half an hour on each tire with no success then used the clamp. Reinflated tire. Then I used some heavy duty 150 lb test zip ties as an " X ". They work fine for the couple times I've used my snowblower so far.

Difficult to install, but worth it
I fought these chains for days to get them on my snowblower's deflated tires. I had a buddy from work who swore he could get them on my tires, also give up. He believed the chains were too small for the tire, yet the size was correct for the tire. We watched the Arnold provided videos on the internet and the gentleman doing the chain installing did it oh-so effortlessly. Frustrated I threw them in the box from Amazon and thought I'd return them. After putting them away for a week, I went back at it, removing air again from each tire. After bloodying knuckles for an hour or two, this time I managed to get the chains to connect on both sides. I locked them into place with large caliber zip ties, cinching them down against the tread and clipping each zip tie close to the tire. This was a huge feat and I am never taking these chains off again. For the rest of winter, these did their job well and remain in place. I deduct one star because of the pain they caused me with the install. It should not be this difficult. The videos we watched show you how simple it should be, but in reality it wasn't that case at all. Good chains. Good grip. Installation? Beware!

Almost impossible to get on!
First tire was a 2-3 hour wrestling match. Directions totally worthless except about how to initially lay out the chain. Here are some tips: 1) definitely take tire off and deflate 2) once you drape chains around tire close the ends with a zip tie to free both hands 3) then get a flat head screw driver and pry the ends closer and closer together one tire knob at a time with the screw driver levered on the tire knobs, tying to do it evenly around the entire tire tightening the zip tie as you go.. 4) then, when the ends are close you need pliers to draw the chains the final distance to interlock the inside "S" chain 5) then, the last big challenge, the outside chain. It has a lever that closes around the chain, but keep in mind it must go under the chain against tire so it will be unobstructed and close. With a big pliers to help close the lever and a big screw driver to get the chain out of the way I was eventually able to close the lever and clip it in place. 6) Next I have to inflate the tire and hope the chains don't explode or ruin the tire since there is no way the chains can be evenly distributed around the tire with such a haphazard process. 7) tire inflated fine ;there’s no apparent damage. Doing the second chain only took about 45 minutes but again it was an extreme wrestling match for the entire 45 minutes . Hooking the ends together requires wrestling strength and mechanical skill . Good luck if you attempt this.

This will get the job done.
Like I said... it will get the job done. The metal is not very high quality and Im certain it will rust very quickly. For as much as any of us snowblowers this product is probably fine. Chains that cost more are made of better metal.... just that simple. also,,,, I was unable to use the locking mechanism as the chains were to tight. Im certain I ordered the right size so it appears chains arent long enough. I added a couple links so it was no big deal.

Great chains! Yes, they really do fit!
Perfect criss-cross chains for knobby tires. Do not buy the two link chains for snow tires that come on snow blowers! These chains can be tough to install. First, take the tire off the blower and bench install them! So much easier to install them this way. Yes they are tight to install! They are supposed to be. If you need to deflate the tire some. OK, no harm no foul. Those tires only take 11-14 lbs. of air. Next make sure you drape them properly with the links facing out and the large hook on the outside with the air valve facing you. Stretch each set of links accordingly..... Take your time. They are going to stay on the snow blower forever. No need to take them off!!! Snug em up and put a chain tightener on them and let em be. I leave the chain tighteners hang off of them and not stretched tight. That way they don't rot and get useless in a year. Spray some WD40 on the rubber. Helps keep em from drying out. Yep fish oil! Happy snow blowing when the blizzard hits the fan!!!!! Mine fit nice and tight on a Troy built 36" snow blower with 16.5x8 tires. Need help? I am an email away!

Cheap Materials
I bought these for my snowblower. I bought chains for another snowblower years ago. They were made of heavy link chain. I was expecting the same for these chains. They are much cheaper made, meaning lighter chain links. They are a link short so I can't get the clasp closed. I won't buy again.

VERY hard to install
most chains I have installed in the past were no problem. These chains take a lot of work. I wrestled with one wheel for more than an hour before I could get the chains secured... and that was after deflating the tire. Same thing for the second wheel... i even bought a small turnbuckle to try and pull the links together. that did not work so i bought a quick link at Home Hardware. I have not used the snowblower with the chains yet so my review is strictly related to installation which was quite painful.

These chains are too small for 16" x 6.5" knobby tires; you'll need 3/16" quick links.
I started by reading many of the other comments about how tight these chains are and how difficult they are to install. Those reports were not wrong! I read the instructions thoroughly, laid the chains out carefully, and found the chains significantly too short to make the connections as shown - even with the tires deflated. Fortunately, because I had read the other reviews in advance, I purchased 3/16" quick links to provide the necessary adjustment. After adding the quick links (one on the inside of the wheel and two on the outside of the wheel) the chains were easy to install, they fit tightly, and they work really well. Overall the chains are well made and work as intended once they are installed.

Fit fine for me
These tire chains are a bit of a pain but I had no problem putting them on a 16x6.5x8 knobby snowblower tire, I know many of the reviews here say it’s a struggle and some say not enough links , but not the case for me. Once installed I put strong zip ties on the ends to keep secure. I have a John Deere snowblower if that helps.

Once installed, you'll be happy
Good value for the money. The only issue is installation. Give yourself at least 30 minutes to install these. Setup the chain to make sure there's no kinks. Deflate the tires to make it as easy as possible. Once all that is done, put them on as best you can. I tipped the snow blower forward, it let me handle the wheels a little easier. Then start moving the chain around to get the locks in place. A pro tip, clinch the ends of the chains together with a grip. This will prevent it them from slipping off when using it in the winter. After all said and down, reflate the tires and you should be good to go.

Chains are to short for 16-inch x 6.5- inch snowblower tires.
My snowblower tires are 16-inch x 6.5-inch as stated on amazon site. Each chains were short of two extra chain links in order to connect each chains around tires. I needed to purchase extra chain links in order to install the chains. Manufacturer should add two extra links to each connection ends of each chain. I would accept new chains reflecting these new additionnal links at no charge.
