Rope
Love this product. I use it for sewing bowls or baskets and that type of thing. Easy to use and good quality.

NOT for rope bowls
This rope is not suitable for rope bowls, unless you like them misshapened and floppy.

Stretches a lot
Good for the price, be ready to give it a good tightening. It looks to be smaller gauge than the last one I had, so probably won't last 2-3 years like I had hoped.

Rope
Nice cordage. Good for making bowls, but on the soft side.

Only brand I use
I’ve always had success with Whitmor for my clothes line. The cotton material is sturdy & durable. My husband hangs it so there are 2 strings of rope for me to hang whatever I need to on it. I feel one string wouldn’t do the trick but with 100 feet we have a lot of rope to do this with a lot left over. It weathers well. I take it down in the winter though. I also have one that has hung in my laundry room for at least 4 years & it’s still going strong. That rope handles more weight, but in short periods of time, as I hang clothes on hangers as I take them out of the dryer. The rope I’ve received has no smell & I’ve never encountered any mildew issues. For me it’s thumbs up. For the convenience of ordering online & the quality I say the price is right. From my personal experience I recommend it.

Just what I needed to hold my pants up.
I know.... If you are old enough, you are probably thinking of Ellie Mae Clampet or Jethro Bodine of the Beverly Hillbillies. But I needed replacement drawstrings for several pair of cargo pants and got tired of waiting for my better half to get the job done. This rope is just what I needed. Now, if the pant manufacturer would put the first belt loops on either side of the button and zipper closer together, I would not have bothered to replace the drawstring. (Thanks for letting me vent, but that has nothing to do with this clothesline rope.) I am sure it would probably work for clothes line, too. When I was a kid, our outdoor clothes line was heavy duty wire stretched between poles securely anchored in the ground. But indoors, there were hooks high on the walls with this type of rope strung from one wall to the other. Mom would hang some laundry in the winter in the house. It provided humidification, too. We had a wash house attached to the house with a copper double boiler on a propane double burner and a Maytag ringer/washer. No clothes dryer. Not even sure they were invented back then. Why 4 stars instead of 5? It's just a rope. It is not made of gold.

This rope works for non-clothes-line projects, too
I have some "knock-around" pants that I've been wearing for years that are clearly showing their wear. While I can patch and repair the fabric and seams, the matching draw-strings can only be overstitched and reinforced so often. I previously bought a different (polyester) rope and it proved to be too thick and slippery to hold a good bow tie. So I went shopping and found this. I just reinforce the "cut" position with an old Girl Scout thread trick, add a healthy dose of fray-check fabric glue and I'm in business. And this smaller diameter pulls through the pant tops easily.

Used for wicks for watering my plants while away for over a week! Plants flourished!
I have a healthy poinsettia plant that I was afraid would die if I couldn't water it while I was away for 12 days. The plant sits close to my window so it gets plenty of sunlight. I searched Google for self-watering equipment. Some were simple but expensive (why would I go that route when it's simple enough to DIY). Ordered this cotton clothes line to use as wicks and a gallon bottled water bottle. Worked like a charm. When I got back home, not only did the plant get enough water but it was the perfect amount of water! The plant grow so much in that short time away. I wish I had before and after pictures to post! I left the wick system in place as the primary water system. I just fill the gallon bottle when needed. No worries about did I forget to water the plant. I plan on making similar wick systems for my other recent plants and hope to get similar results. For plants that require more water, I will just add more wicks!

Good Quality
These were purchased for use as the cording/ ties in making facial masks during the pandemic. The cotton braiding on the outside of the line is very comfortable and durable.

Compren otro producto.
