Fair price for OK product
Arrived with different-length mounting bolts. Some shorter than others and all were too short. Bought the correct bolts at the hardware store in lieu of returning it for refund. Two of the jaws are tighter to move than the other two, but works OK. Doesn't really say much for their quality control. A just-OK product for the price. Bought for permanent use on a manual rotary table. Wouldn't recommend it for use on a lathe or anything else. It's made in China, of course, so don't expect much in the way of actual quality. Ya get what ya pay for.

Steelex M1062 4 Jaw Chuck, 8-Inch
Not the highest of quality, I had to take the chuck apart and give it a good clean-out. metal particles, some rust and just general machining goo. The body has a run-out of about 4 tho, for general work holding or wood working its a good chuck, but for precision lathe work I would keep looking.

Fair quality for a chinesium chuck
Big heavy Chuck, almost 40 pounds. Good fit and finish, few minor burrs. Believe this is a sanyu k72-200 chuck given the front label.

An OK chuck for the money.
One of two brands of chucks distributed by "Woodstock International", "Shop Fox" being the other. In comparing the two brands, I'd have to say the Steelex is the lesser of the two. The fit and finish of the Shop Fox 3-jaw 6" chuck I have is superior. The Steelex is still quite usable and was well within the published specifications. A good fit for home shop use at an affordable price. And unlike the Shop Fox chucks for sale on Amazon, the picture of the Steelex chuck is exactly what I received. The chuck was marked with the "H" logo and is identified as a model "K72-200" dated 12/2005. Specifications: Radial runout, chuck OD - .06mm Facial runout, chuck face - .03mm Facial runout, upper jaw faces - .04mm 50mm bore Registration 125mm Dia. 4 hole mounting bolt pattern, 104.8mm Dia. Mounting bolts are m12-1.5x80mm

good deal good quality
Appears well made and balanced . I need one that would front mount to put on a rotary table with "t' slots. This fit perfectly I also made a 50mm center to make it easier to center in a mill. One heck of a good price.

Looks great. I'm sure it will work as expected. Machine quality appears to be very good. will test after building a mount for it. Thanks

Great for price
Much better than other reviews made out!!! Jaws are tight seemed pretty clean didn't have to clean out like others. I was concerned about ordering but, very glad I did!

Great value for the money
After a long wait I finally got it. Given the price this is not a bad chuck - you are getting a lot for little $. The fit and finish are OK, given that the chuck has over 10 years - stamped on it is 2005. One of the jaws had a bur from grinding - the steel being ground turned to a paste. Normal WD-40 could not clean the dried packing oil on the sides. I run some tests on it to see whatever it is within posted specs but I suspect it is. I would be more worried if this was a three jaw scroll chuck. Of note are the 4 bolts that go through the chuck - for these that want to use this on a rotary table it is a great find & installs with ease. Chuck doesn't come with any mounting plate so you have to machine your own - the plate mounts with the 4 screws seen on the picture.

good tight tollerance
I am a retired machinist and I think---for the money--this is a very good product. You can buy a BUCK for 5 times the price if you want to but for piddling around at home on a tiny 12 inch lathe it's great!
