Very easy to install and works wonderfully extended my multiple extended 27" monitors
I looked all over and spoke to several technical people regarding how to add two additional monitors to a laptop with only one HDMI port. No one knew how to do it. I looked at dozens of cables and docking stations but everything only mirrored the two monitors. Honestly, I don't know why anyone would want mirrored monitors except maybe in a training environment. Then, I ran across this product and read the reviews. It sounded perfect. I ordered this product and it came with easy to read and follow instructions. The entire time to get my Windows 10 laptop configured to use my (2) 27" Philips monitors took less than 10 minutes. The instructions show you how to download and run one executable file, the system restarts, you plug both monitors into this thing via HDMI cables and presto. Everything came up and is working beautiful The resolution is outstanding, mouse response time between screens is normal, everything is great. I went into Windows Setting and selected Display and told Windows what screen I wanted to make my primary screen. I should mention that all three screen showed up in the Windows Setting Utility. This tells me that the product interfaces great with Windows 10. The product is about $50 I think but worth every penny. For the one time $50 investment, I can now use my $600 worth of monitors. I'm actually looking forward to work on Monday so I can start taking advantage of my two beautiful displays. I high recommend buying this product. If you aren't satisfied, just return it. But honestly, I can't imagine anyone being dissatisfied with this thing. It's great.

Quick & Easy & Successful
Very pleased with this device. Used a single USB 3.0 port on my 10-year old Dell laptop and connected up 2 23-inch monitors. I was disappointed, though, in the flawed instructions regarding installation of the necessary driver. The instructions referred to a URL to be used to get the driver. One might expect to land on a page that says “click here to download the driver for xxx.” No, that would’ve been too user-friendly. Instead you land on a sales page that lists all the manufactures products - basically an online catalog page. I cannot find the required download link anywhere. After a while, more out of curiosity than hope, I clicked on the photo of the item in question. Lo and behold, in small letters down a ways and to the left there’s a link to download the driver. Some progress now. As informed by the booklet that came with the product I downloaded the zip file and unpacked it. Per the instructions received I am to execute the setup.exe program. Nope, no such file. There is, however, a strangely-named exe file, and being the only exe file, I wondered if I should double-click that one. After all, I was told to use setup.exe. This is not setup.exe. If I run it perhaps ransomware will be installed! Finally, with my eyes closed, I execute that strangely-named exe file. Thankfully, that did the.trick and everything was smooth sailing after that.

For extending monitors, not mirroring
I finally got what I was looking for, after 3 attempts. This guy will allow you to extend monitors so you can have up to 3 going at once. I have my main monitor plugged directly into the HDMI port on my desktop, the splitter hooks up to a USB port allowing 2 additional monitors. With a laptop, the 3rd screen is the laptop screen so just 2 additional monitors. When the computer wakes up from sleep, there’s a 5 second flicker until the monitors figure out who’s who, but then everything is fine. You do have to download a program prior to installation, but the steps are clearly described in the instruction booklet.

Works in the end after some initial frustration - key is to plug it into your USB3.0 port!
For folks who have researched a bit about USB to HDMI conversion, I'm sure one would reach the conclusion that it is not as straightforward as a simple cable with two heads. In fact, after making the wrong purchase of one of the sub $10 USB-HDMI cables which did nothing, I realized anything below certain price tag is probably just a scam. That led to my studying of this $50+ StarTech product which initially I thought was just way overpriced. Here's what I did: 1. Plug in the adaptor with both HDMI port connected to two monitors. Good news is one monitor popped up. Bad news is the other doesn't. Remember I haven't installed any driver at this point. 2. I then realized that monitor that did pop up, the reaction speed is very slow to both mouse and keyboard. At this point I thought it was probably due to the missing driver. Although reluctant, I downloaded the driver and installed it. I decided if it asked me to stop my AV I would return the product. Luckily it didn't (maybe because I ran as administrator) 3. After the installation was complete and computer was restarted, I plugged in both monitor again and again only one popped up, and the 4K port didn't work. This time mouse speed seemed to be ok, but resolution was bad because it wasn't 4K. 4. At this point I was quite frustrated. And I was reading some reviews to try my luck, at which point one review inspired me. It said you needed to switch to a USB3.0 port. My Dell laptop has two USB ports and I had no clue which one was USB3.0. But I just switched to the other port anyways. Magic! Resolution recovered and everything worked. Hope folks can do it right in the first place, unless you are someone who enjoyed the dopamine shot after a clueless troubleshooting process.

Supported additional monitors as stated.
Its purchase was to add additional monitors to me wife's dell laptop via a port other than USB C since her laptop's USB C did not support video output. I was skeptical but intrigued with the external graphics card and being able to support additional monitors. At this point it's working well with two additional monitors and the laptop's screen making for three separate monitors. I haven't fully tested it's capabilities but I did notice a slight lag, but this may just be the laptop itself. Thus for it's working as expected and solved our current dilemma.

Does exactly what it says on the box
Rarely am I motivated to provide feedback for Amazon purchases but I make an exception on this one. I chose this after my all-in-one PC’s integrated display adapter failed and I was reduced to using the external HDMI output for my primary display. This was a pain because I’m accustomed to working with two displays. I had tried other options like a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter that I have but response was pathetic, along with lower resolution. I was very apprehensive about whether this would actually live up to the hype, not to mention being wary about parting with anything beyond a tenner. My concerns were totally unfounded. The package was delivered lightning quick via Prime less than 24 hours after purchase. I am the type that doesn’t mess around with manuals or drivers so I plugged it into a USB 2.0 port to gauge the worst case scenario. To my surprise it worked flawlessly, easily matching the other identical monitor, which has max resolution of 2560x1440. I pitted the two monitors against each other running one of those 4K videos off YouTube and couldn’t notice any difference. Worth mentioning that the USB 3.0 port did not detect the device on Windows 10 at all until after I installed the drivers from the website. There was no noticeable difference so I’ve kept it plugged into the USB 2.0 port. I sense the CPU is working ever slightly harder because the cooling fan seems to have kicked into high gear a bit more than usual. I’ll need to confirm whether this is a real issue but it’s a negligible annoyance considering I’m back in business with the same setup I’d gotten used to. I should point out that only one of the HDMI ports on the device supports 4K, while the other is slightly lower. This is not an issue for me because I only needed the one, and the second is just a bonus. All in all, I am fully satisfied as it was clearly as described and solved my problem 100%. Of course there are cheaper alternatives but they only go up to 1080p. In an ideal world my computer would have a USB-C port and I could get away with a third of the price, but hey, such is life.

Works Straight Out of the Box, could not be happier.
As a hangover from the first Covid lock down, setting up up a better home office was on my to do list. The nature of my work and hobbies (both electronics and software design) mandates lots of screen/desktop space. My laptop had 1 HDMI and 1 x VGA, both worked well by themselves, but getting three screens working in "Extended Desktop Mode" was elusive. My laptop is old enough not to have USB C, but does have USB 3.0. So I was a bit hesitant about spending more than £30 on a solution;but I went for it. I could not be happier, it worked straight out of the box, no discs, no downloads and I have full 1080 HD on my 27", 24 and 15.6" screen. No flicke,r no hassle & no losss of quality of signal. The product came on time, well packaged and discrete enough to hide away behind my laptop to keep me desk free of clutter or desktop boxes. Its a lot cheaper than upgrading my laptop....definitely buy it if you are in the same or similar situation.

It works, would recommend
If you're trying to set up 2 or more screens but you don't have enough HDMI ports on your PC this is what you want. It's a little bit more expensive than others but some of the others don't work, I know, I've tried cheaper ones, they just didn't seem to function for me, whether that's because they were cheap, broken or just not the right tool for the job, I don't know, but I do know that this one works for me, so it should work for you too. I wanted to set up 3 screens, two regular monitors and a drawing tablet, but I only have 2 HDMI ports on my PC, and only one of them worked for some reason, so this was really handy, I plug both regular monitors into this adapter, the adapter into any USB port and my tablet into the working HDMI port and so far, it has worked perfectly, and it's been about 2 months at this point, no issues, perfectly good screen resolution, no flickering or disconnects, 10/10, would recommend.

Best USB to video so far
I have bought many different USB to video cards over the year and so far this is simply the best. It installs really easy and just simply works. Startech were not sure if this would work with other USB to video cards at the same time but I can confirm that it does. The reason I am certain is because I was so impressed by this card that I bought a second one and plugged it into my now 6 year old laptop and it ran perfectly well. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not gaming on this old laptop, I use it for general office type work. It’s simply great now having 8 monitors all running at the same time, makes life so much more productive.
