Great efficient/space saving convenient cooking set. Saves cupboard space in home cooking too.
I assume most people use this for camping/vacations. But I actually use it for home use. I got into minimalism. Instead of having a ton of fine stuff that is infrequently used and is probably just clutter, I have a few very very awesome quality things that I use very often. After using this for a couple of weeks, I sold most of my pots and pans along with most cooking utensils. This has 3 workhorse pots & pans (fry pan, saucepan, stew pot) that can be used for pretty much everything along with workhorse utensils (spatula and spoon). Everything folds up very nicely with a very sturdy/secure bungy-type cord and takes up a very small footprint in my cupboard/cabinet. If you go camping I could see this being awesome. If you want to free up cabinet some space in your kitchen, it is awesome.

Excellent cookware!
Use the skillet inverted over vented lid for a tight seal to use as a Dutch oven. Cooked a waterless chuck roast perfectly. Heat dry pan, sear seasoned meat on both sides, cover and reduce heat to lowest setting, cook for at least two hours without opening lid to break the vapor seal. Enjoy!

Heavier then i thought
This set is cool for camping if you don't have to worry about the weight. It is heavy. The bottom is a heavy-duty stainless steel sandwich and spreads the heat very quick and even. I am impressed.

Kinda heavy but it does cook very well
Honestly, I picked this up at higher price point but if you find it for a good price - don't pass it up. It's not cheap but it might be a 'buy it for life' item. Really great package which all packs into the big stock pot. It's also a little on the heavier side but considering it houses a medium pot and pan inside (+ cooking tools). It cooks better than the pans I have at home and evenly. This definitely brings water to boil quicker so the quality of this cook set is there. The only item i was not a fan of is the cutting board - it has a split down the middle which makes it impossible to not be messy with meat juices or water seeping under into your table cloth (not a good idea considering I was camping in bear country). If there was a better alternative for the cutting board, this cooking set would 100%. I'd probably leave the cutting board at home and bring another. Only thing I'd say is that it isn't the easiest to clean. It definitely needs a proper scrub with a steel wool sponge in order to get all the grime off but I think thats to be expected in stainless steel pots/pans. It makes it a little difficult when doing a wash while dry camping so keep that in mind - this may not be for you but if you don't like teflon (for health reasons) this is a great staple item for any outdoor cooks.

Make the Base Camp Cook set even more perfect!
If you already have a Base Camp Cook set, this is a perfect addition. Great if your family has a voracious appetite where the pots of the base camp cook set seem to be small. It's pretty heavy, but hey!, like Boris The Blade said, weight is sign of reliability. I also use both sets not only for outdoor cooking but, when we rent a vacation home, I carry them with us to avoid using other people cookware.

Well worth the money, it’s not for backpacking because it’s heavy and bulky but perfect for rv , truck camping, will last a long time.

Car Camping Kitchen at its best!
Do you take your family on camping trips to a state or national park, or even a private campground? Do you use a tent or a camper? Never have but want to start? Start investing in some quality products. If you're like most families I know, on your first trip you took your good cookware from home but realized what cooking over a campfire does and don't want to subject your expensive pans to that again. You then grabbed some cheap "cook kits" from the Big Box Store or other inexpensive pots and pans that are awkward to pack because of those pesky handles and glass lids. The pots aren't big enough to hold what you want to cook (or maybe that 14 inch fry pan is too big for your little cook stove). And every year you think to yourself that something better must be out there. This is better. So much better. Heavy duty stainless steel construction with the extra think bottom, this is just as good as anything you'd buy for your home, just a little more compact and fits together for easier storage and has folding handles. Yes, this set is more expensive than dollar store items but will last far longer, take up less space, and keep everyone fed and happy. This kit does not come with plates or eating utensils - Stanley does have another set that does. I have both now and while I like the other kit I think this cooking set is superior. That does not take away from the Base Camp Kit as it meets a different need. If you need that sort of item then you can easily get something at the dollar store that will be good enough. We're talking car camping not ultralight backpacking. If you watch for deals you may be able to get both sets for a reasonable price. Campfire or propane stove, this kit has you covered.

Should last a lifetime.
Very nice cook set. Buy once, cry once level of quality. Completely impractical for any kind of lightweight camping, but perfect for car camping or even touring and staying in cottages where the quality of kitchen equipment is unknown. Even though this was an Amazon US import, the purchase process was no different than buying a UK product, except for the slightly longer delivery time.

Initial review of well made family cooking set
I bought this cooking set for our travel to Nc500. This is initial review without using it. If you are backpacking then it is not for you. This is heavy and serious equipment which your children will inherit. It looks very well made and good size for a family. I haven't use it so I will review it in detail after our travel.

this is a great pan set for our camper and all packs away nice and neat would defiantly recommend for camping, and being a keen cook it also heats well and distributes the heat evenly even on a little camping stove

Excellent design
As expected for a stanley product. Well made, durable and well designed. The heavy gauge bottoms of the pots/pan conduct heat evenly. Too heavy and not suitable for backpacking but perfect for car camping. The cutting board, utensils and pot holders are really handy. Very compact/stackable taking up minimal room. Definitely recommend.
