Well made, lightweight, nesting cookset

S'more Titanium Cooking Set, Ultralight Eco-Friendly Camping Cookware, Pot and Pan 2 in 1 with Folding Handle. Very lightweight cookset, as you would expect of titanium. On my kitchen scales the large pan weighed in at 122gms and the small pan at 86gms. Both pans have folding wire handles, also made of titanium. They do nest to reduce transport volume. The shorter pan has a slightly larger diameter so it fits on the bottom or top of the taller pan. The larger pan has embossed fluid level markings (correct when viewing from the inside) Nothing negative about these. Well-made 100% titanium lightweight cook pots for lightweight backpacking. 1600ml kit weighs in at 274g w/bag

Let's be honest, you're looking at titanium primarily because of weight. You already know the durability specs of titanium, so here's what my scales show. These are not perfect scales, but are within +/- 2 grams, and this is what I found with my 1600ml kit. Pot only: 156g Lid only: 95g Pot & Lid: 253 Bag: 22g Entire Kit: 274g Overall, this would make a nice pot to feed 2 or even 3 people. I like the fact the lid reverses to serve as a warming tray, or even a double boiler if you cover it with foil -- a great way to make rice on the trail! The bag is also top notch, made of a stretchy fabric with drawstring and button lock. 9.67 ounces overall is a fair amount of weight for gram counters, but for those of you in that camp, you've already figured out to leave the bag and lid behind, and simply use foil as a lid, so your overall weight is just 156g or 5.5oz. And nobody wants to be caught on the trail without a pot to...uh...cook in, so this is a good choice methinks.

Very Light and Sturdy, but Pricey

This is a very basic cook set (1100 / 350 ml) with several pros: - Very light (set+bag is about 8 ounces) - Mesh carry bag - Measurement lines - Durable - Compact (4.5" x 5") The thing you will have to decide is does this justify the price. While there are several advantages, I have to subtract a star because the price tag is a little hard to swallow, IMHO.

For the price I wish it had some kind of heat resistant handle

First off mine came in, perfectly packaged state with no damage, but the actual container itself had a small dent in the bottom of it, and with no sign of damage on the packaging. Also, where the handles rest against the body of the pans even knew out of the box there are already rub marks on the surface of the pen from the handles grinding against it. I know titanium is expensive so I understand the premium price tag but I’ve seen much cheaper aluminum containers come with rubber coated handles. I wish this had something similar. I know the main purpose of having titanium is weight reduction, which in backpack and can be important so maybe even a removable handle cover. Overall the panzer, a very lightweight compact handy set to have for your camping gear just wish some finite detail was added to make them even better like perhaps a small bumper or some thing where the handles rest against the body to keep it from scarfing it up.
