Not what is advertised
It smells It streaks ( Yes, I exfoliated as instructed) It broke my chest out in acne type bumps and I do not usually have chest break outs and it accentuated every wrinkle, pore whatever. NOT Pretty. I had such high hopes!!! But I did get compliments the one time I used it.

Use latex/plastic gloves - Not sponge mitts.
I may not purchase here with the concerns it's a fake. The genuine thing is amazing. I wouldn't use mitts. I find latex gloves work better with this product or velvet mitts. Sponge mitts are not a good applicator combo with the gel. The product dries fast. Just keep rubbing in the area until it dries. I love the smell. I love most that it doesn't stain my clothes or sheets. Spray mist is best for the top of your hands and feet and face. I've never had an issue with splotchiness, but I also moisturize and buff my skin on a regular basis.

This is a really drying & difficult product to use...it streaks & the color did not work out for me.

Blotchy
Not a good product. It tans you a decent color however it leaves you with spots and blotchy. The smell is horrific and a few days after you look like you have reptile scales from the weird fade it does. I used a mitt for self tanners and even had someone else apply it for me on top of shaving where I needed to and exfoliating my skin prior to using and I gave it not one but two chances and same results each time Wouldn’t recommend at all go get a professional spray tan. Hopefully I can get a refund.

Streaks!
As a gel, it was easy to glide on. However, it streaks, turns orange, and doesn't last more than a day. LOVE the scent, but after trying it a couple dozen times, I'm giving up!

I really love this product but I don’t believe this one is genuine. Packaging arrived without a lid. The colour is slightly tainted and it just doesn’t look right.

I’ve been using st tropez for over 18 years now and this product is terrible!! The problem is not being able to see if you have applied all over or know if you’ve redone a part you’ve already done, I’m a beauty therapist and know how to apply self and spray tan so I correctly prepped my skin etc I’ve woken up orange and patchy, I’m really disappointed as I use the face mist and that’s amazing, but this gel is a miss for me As well as the new gradual tan leaves me orange and streaky, I think it’s the new formula ????????‍♀️

Lovely natural tan
Probably the best fake tan I have used. No streaking, no brown marks around hands, feet or elbows. Though moisturising these areas is recommended. Use a tanning mitt. You don’t need to put much on the mitt It goes on really easily and does not stain clothes or bedsheets. It is a clear gel but there is a faint sheen to help you see where you are applying it. No problem for seasoned users. Your tan lasts a good few days and the bottle has lasted me around 3 months and I still have about a quarter of the bottle left. Gives a golden natural looking tan so ideal for fair skin, though extra applications will give a deeper looking tan. The smell is fairly light and fresh. Fantastic value for money as lasts a long time, even when applying every few days. Excellent all round.

Isn’t it great to try stuff !!
Didn’t read the reviews on this which is not like me ........so here it is- I love the smell I’ve bought load s of false tans in my time and cannot stand the smells but this is so fresh, it’s not sticky or too thick like most. I use on my face for a natural glow and my legs I use Johnson’s baby lotion with a few pumps of this to spread it, get it more even and moisturise. I still think it streaks but it’s only my 3rd time and it isn’t bad but I,m not sure I will ever master that !!!! Don’t get me wrong it really isn’t bad you just need to tweet things yourself, would I buy again .....definitely. It’s so light weight I really do like this one ????

Easy to use. Lots of compliments.
Returning to use this for a second summer. I really like it. Goes on clear, absorbs nicely and develops fully in a day or overnight. I’m always getting compliments on my colour. I’m not too proud to admit that it’s fake - better than skin cancer! - but people are always surprised and want to know what I use. You’re never gonna get away from that fake tan odour entirely but this one isn’t bad compared to others. The initial smell is nice and fresh and the ‘biscuit’ smell comes 5 or 6 hours later but isn’t awful. As it’s a clear product you can apply before going to bed and it won’t mark the sheets. (If I’ve had a particularly hot/sticky night after the tan has developed it has left marks but washes out no problem.)
