Easy to use
I like to use this as a bronzer, it dries really quickly and works well when legs are looking particularly ghost like. Blend with a mitt and make sure you skin has been moisturised and exfoliate for a few days before. Goes on a treat and you have bronzed legs immediately. When you wash off it off it does loose the color somewhat but for a quick bronze look it does the job. Doesn’t smell like you’ve got fake tan on either. Would watch wearing white or light Colors.

BEST self tanner in the game
BEST self tanner in the game- feels and looks like a chocolate syrup gel when you spread it out (which i actually like), dries minimally sticky and leaves the most gorgeous LONG LASTING and EVEN tan (not splotchy or streaky even on elbows and knees). Shes a TEN.

Bad staff
This gel is very hard to spread, it leaves spots all over body and it washes away very quickly. St.tropez spray is awesome, but this gel is just waist of money.

Unpredictable results
I've successfully used Fake Bake for years, but bought At Tropez this year on the recommendation of my beautician, although I'm not sure if she uses this exact product. I'd tried a high street branded mousse first but found it a bit messy. The first time I used it, I exfoliated and moisturised elbows and knees etc as usual, and washed it off after 2 hours as I was starting to look a bit orange. It all washed away with no results. I have fairly pale skin but thought 2 out of the 3 recommended hours would be a good first application. The second time, a few days later, I applied it at 6.30pm and left it overnight. This resulted in the glow I'd wanted. I have to say that it did last well. Starting to look a bit patchy after about a week, I scrubbed it all off and did another overnight application. This time with the same results as the first 2 hour application, zero colour after showering. I'm now doing another 3 hour application. It shouldn't be this much of a faff. Things I've learned: gel/lotion is better than mousse, since I can't apply it in the bathroom, and gel is easier to direct onto the glove than mousse; Fake Bake has a better guide colour that this gel; whatever product you use, it will end up smelling of biscuit, but this is one of the best; I actually prefer overnight treatments as it's awkward to fit it around other things during the day, and at the moment I'd rather be outside in my free time; to touch up hand, feet, and face, use a little on a wet brush, I just used a cheap wide, flat paintbrush I'd bought a while ago for face painting but never used. I do like the pump, the mousse I bought dribbled after use, but you can twist the top of this one and it stays really properly closed off. Hope someone finds this helpful.

Brown not orange. Perfect.
I always love this. Brown not orange and easy to apply. Mix a little moisturiser over toes, knees and elbows. Always wear fitted latex gloves. I mix half and half moisturiser for hands and then baby wipe or flannel it off my palm. Love it.

First time trying
First time trying this and I’m impressed !!! I wanted a nice natural looking tan for my wedding day, I’m fair and pretty pale. I left it on for three hours and it didn’t disappoint didn’t leave me looking like an orange haha or streaky it’s got a nice natural sun kissed look too it. If your looking for that dark spray tan look I wouldn’t recommended but a lovely natural looking tan I would definitely recommend. Would buy again !

Mousse formula much better
This gel goes on very dark, then as it begins to dry collects in patchy streaks on the skin. After 3 hours of feeling tacky/sticky (it didn’t ever feel dry) when I washed off I couldn’t see any difference to my usual skin colour. I also didn’t notice it develop after the following 8 hours. I accidentally purchased this, have religiously used the mousse formula for a long time and it does not disappoint. Don’t make the same mistake - stick to the mousse!

No longer works as a fake tan
I’ve used this formulation of St Tropez since it came out and I used to rave about it. The tan after 2-3 hours was always even and deep and you didn’t have to sleep in it. It is sticky when on but that didn’t bother me so much as the end result was worth it. However, I would never buy again as the last two bottles I have hardly work at all. Even left for three hours, I barely change colour and it lasts about three days max. Not sure what St Tropez have done but honestly, save your money as this isn’t fit for purpose.
