A good little bag, but the shape can cause issues

I got this bag around the start of the COVID-19 lockdown, as the sports club closed and I lost access to the heavy bag that I had been training on. All and all, it is a good little bag, and seems well made. The shape seems to give it a great amount of stability, making it seem heavier than 45 pounds (in a good way). There are, however, some issues that the consumer should be aware of: First, the shape looks cool but is not always wonderful to train on. It is really great for uppercuts and knees due to the curve in the middle. However, the shape is weird around head level, making it less than perfect for face striking practice. Second, the bag is constructed in a series of panels stitched together. creating a small angle at each seam. If you hit on one of the seems, it may cause your wrist to bend a bit. Hitting on the seam also makes punches feel soft and unnatural, which can interrupt the flow of training. Making this bag less of a stand and bang workout bag, and more of a pick your shots and target (to avoid hitting the seam areas) workout experience. However, especially considering the price, this bag is well worth considering. It is constructed well, and the soft exterior allows for no glove training without cutting up the knuckles. I now have a 100 lb. tai bag, and I alternate my workout days on each. Thus, even though I now have a bigger bag, I still find use for this bag in my training. Knowing what I know now, I would still buy this bag.

I love this bag

I love this bag. I have a standard 70 pound MMA bag by Everlast and it's pretty nice also. But with this Combat Sports 45 pound bag I get a really good workout and can safely practice uppercuts with it with little fear of spraining my wrists due to the angle one needs for uppercuts. The top portion is as good as any regular heavy bag and the lower portion gives a good target area to practice lower body shots. Also, due to the hourglass design it is unlikely that the filler material will sag into the lower portions of the bag like many regular heavy bags tend to do. Plus, the material is smooth and you can use MMA gloves or bare hands on it as long as you don't go crazy with power before your hands and wrists are conditioned for that sort of contact. Have fun, it's a great bag for the money.

Love it

Very high quality and is packed perfect from the factory. The straps are super strong and I don't see them wearing down anytime soon. Weight and size are great for small spaces while still providing a challenge, so long as you don't let yourself cheat. Outer material is durable and provides the nice smack sound. Better quality overall versus what we have at a local gym. Love it!

Love this bag.

I really like this bag. I can work on combos perfectly. Punches, kicks, knees, and elbows. The purpose of this bag is to work on your combos and speed. Not your power even though you can hit it hard as you want but it will swing around unless you tie it down from the bottom. I wish it was 60lbs so that I could really go to town on this bad boy. I think it would make it the perfect bag in my opinion. The price is Excellent. It's very affordable (gives me another excuse to justify to the lady why I need to buy another bag. A heavier one. LOL), the bag feels like it will last many years.

I'm a fan of this bag

We purchased it for our garage as a different type of bag than the ones we use at the Muay Thai gym. There we have both traditional long heavy bags and also the much shorter "teardrop" bags. This fits somewhere in between those two. It's a great bag to practice uppercuts and body shots on, but is too light for heavy kicks. So if you're looking for something for lighter boxing/kicking and speed/agility over power, I would recommend this bag.

It’s more fun than hitting a standard heavy bag

I really like this bag. It’s heavy enough that you can put some power into your strikes but it’s light enough that it’s easy to move if you need too. I hung it on a swivel and springs which makes for a more dynamic workout.

Solid and versatile bag

Did lots of research before buying this bag and am not at all disappointed with the purchase. You can see right out of the box this is a well made, good quality bag that should take some punishment, even at 45 pounds. Colour looks great and after several weeks of use it's kept its shape well and really held up to these first weeks of use. It seems to Rival any of the higher end boxing brands. I bought this to transform my garage into a boxing gym during Covid isolation as it's so versatile shape and weight-wise. When hung nice and high you can hit it straight, hooks, uppercuts, body shots. You can have it swing freely with lots of movement or bungee the bottom to a heavy weight for more resistance and bounce back (see pics). I have quite a low ceiling and this sits perfectly as the straps are quite short. Didn't use the giant carabineer that it comes with in the end. Bought a smaller zinc quick link that does the job for a few dollars from a hardware store. This is not a heavy bag in terms of being able to hammer it but it's a great workout tool for any level of boxer.

Double End Combat Bag

Bag is exactly what my Son was hoping for. Finding it's the perfect addition to his training regime. Able to incorporate many different strikes and kicks that he wasn't able to practice at home before. Initially recieved the wrong bag but Amazon made the exchange painless and super fast. Really nice bag, very good value. Extremely durable. Wish I had an option for a bigger one in the same style but, you add an anchor to it and it has more resistance that is for sure.
