Just (barely) holds an iPad
I bought this bag to hold my iPad so that I could easily carry to meetings at work (much easier than carrying it in a backpack). A previous review said that an iPad fits - and it does - just barely, and only if the iPad isn't stored in a folio case or anything similar. I have a ZAGG/Logitech keyboard for my iPad; this combo is really compact yet no dice: it won't fit with the keyboard. That's really unfortunate. I've ordered a different iPad keyboard from Logitech (Ultrathin Keyboard Cover) and based on its photos and specs I *think* it may fit. (I'll try to remember to update this reivew when the new keyboard arrives. If it doesn't fit, I'll likely return the bag for something a bit larger. It seems a bit odd to me that it appears the designers didn't think about the iPad use case when designing this product. It is *really* close to fitting with my keyboard - misses by a very small amount. Otherwise, it appears to be fine. I've had it for just a few minutes, but it looks like it will easily hold up for at least the six weeks I'll be on crutches. (Likely it will hold up much longer, but I only need it for six weeks.) A couple other comments: The straps to attach it to the crutch hand grip could be better designed. They get in the way a bit and are just a bit short. I have fairly small hands for a man and yet I find it a bit tight to put my hands on the crutch hand grips when the bag is installed. Other than that, I have no specific concerns. I've given it four stars because it appears to be a good value for the money, yet a couple minor changes would make it even better.

Can't Function Without It
You cannot function on a set of crutches without a means of carrying important items like your cell phone, pens, medicine, bottled water, etc. This bag is great for just about anything you can think of. The material is quality and similar to that used in tote bags or a rain jacket. The outside patch pocket is great for the cell phone because you can get to it quickly and it doesn't get buried with other items. The velcro straps ensure it stays attached top and bottom, even with bottled water or other heavy items. Just be careful of the weight difference on the one crutch. I deducted one star because of the price. I know you can't get much for $10 these days, but I think the item is worth about $8.

As soon as I went onto crutches I was googling for things like this! It has made the last couple of weeks much easier. I get a lot of comments on it at work, people asking if I made it. This is actually a nylon bag, not vinyl. It is very durable and well constructed. I can now carry my coffee from the kitchen to my desk in a travel mug, or a bottle of water with ease. It does not add any bulk to the crutch however what you put in it will. But it stays in place even with a 16 ounce travel mug and I did not find it hard to get around, nor did it seem to get in my way. It would be nice if there was a way to secure the top closed, but I found a small binder clip to be handy for that. I have another style that is smaller that I put on the other crutch, it holds my wallet, my cell phone and my keys. But it would never hold anything larger like a book or magazine. Being on crutches is not fun, and any thing that you can do for yourself makes it a bit easier to deal with the inconvenience. I find that being able to always have the basics that I usually have in my purse with me, and being able to get my own coffee make me feel just a bit better about it all.

not pretty, but it is such a life saver.
i tore my acl and im stuck at home and on crutches for the first time. i am sooo infinitely glad i found this. i never realized how many more hands i was going to need! because of my leg brace and the injury i cant wear proper pants (mostly because i cant get them on myself.) so having a pocket i can put my phone/chap stick/ meds/ and a drink in is just a life saver. it isnt the cutest fabric ever, but it works so ill take it. it attaches with velcro straps, which are solid and havent shown signs of tearing or separating. this is a well made and practical product and i would definitely recommend it.

Invaluable!
I purchased one of these Ableware Crutch Bags three months ago prior to arthroscopic knee surgery. I found it so useful that when I recently needed another knee surgery (MPFL reconstruction), I bought a second bag for my other crutch. These bags are durable, easy to clean, and very secure. I've never had any issues with the Velcro, even when carrying a book, water bottle, smartphone, etc. all in one bag. The bags fit well on the hand grip of the crutch, and while the straps occasionally move around a little bit, I've never found this to be a problem or hindrance. The bags have an open top, which is nice for reaching things quickly. It's so convenient to have everything right at my finger tips, without having to fumble around with a purse while I'm on crutches. The larger pocket is very spacious, easily accommodating larger items like a book, tablet, or water bottle while the smaller pocket is great for things like lip balm or other personal items. When it rains or snows, I do wish I had a way to close the tops, but overall I value the ease of access more. Easily one of the best investments I've made for my recovery time. I would never think of using crutches without these.

It works, but could be improved
When you're on crutches everything is a hassle. This bag made things much easier! The only thing I didn't like was the way it attached to the crutch and sometimes got in the way of the handle. Why not just use quick ties or something other than velcro? Also, I would recommend crutch bags made from neoprene as they seem to hold onto contents better. If you have crutches and go out, your crutches probably slide down or fall down on the reg.

First time "Crutcher".
I purchased this product after having broke my leg and my foot. I'm very independent so naturally not having use of my hands while I get myself around was an immediate inconvenience. This product is fantastic. The only thing I would change if I were the manufacturer would be to make a model that has a velcro enclosure at the top of the bag or perhaps a model with a zipper at the tp keep Cargo in the bag when the crutch is stored while out and about.

Handy
Has been great for my crutches. It is challenging to carry around your phone and wallet, so this makes everything much easier The velcro doesn't always stay done up, but it gets the job done. Lots of pocket space. A suggestion for next time would to make that front, small pocket a zipper pocket for money and cards so they don't fall out.

MUST HAVE
If you're going to be using crutches for any length of time the convenience that comes from this is worth the $
