Seemed great……at first

Because of the heft of the glass lenses, I thought (hoped) that I had finally bought a set of quality solar yard lights. After seeing the distinct patterns the lights produced on the lawn, I bought another set of 4 lights. In less than a month 2 of my 8 lights stopped working. It seemed like a light died every week after. Of eight lights, only 3 lasted for as long as 5 months, and then it seems that sunshine ate the lacquer finish on the metal parts of the light and the clear coating on the solar cells. The solar cells began to turn white. It seems they did a really good job making the glass lenses but everything else is super cheap and disappointing. They don’t return phone calls!!!

Didn't work out for me, but still a great product

So full disclosure, I ended up sending these back. But that's only because they didn't work out stylistically for my yard. I would still recommend them to others. For me they were a little too large, and the color temperature was JUST A TAD not warm enough for me. But they are not "cold" by any means, and the light pattern that the glass throws, which a lot of people love, was a little too busy for me. Some positive attributes: - NICE AND BRIGHT! high lumens - REAL METAL AND GLASS. not plastic like so many others are. The stake is plastic, would have been nice if it was metal as well, but the rest is all metal and glass - Big and sturdy. Not flimsy or small. - I am pretty sure these are the same ones they used to have at Costco, which is a good thing Cons: - Very busy light pattern. But that might be fine for you - just check out the photos posted by other reviewers to help you decide.

Not as I expected UPDATE company responsive to issues.

The lights seemed to be packaged properly until I took each one out of the plastic around each light. The first one out seemed fine I removed the protective sheet on top of the solar panel. The other three didn't have protective sheets on the solar panels and were all scratched. I figured I'd just try and see if the light still worked properly. They all lite, however one comes on very late the other three light at the same time. They all go out after about 2.5 hours. I charged them up for two days before I started using them. The documents in the box indicate you should charge before you turn them on, then the on line info indicates you charged them up while turned on. I like the pattern they give off when they are lite but not sure if they will stay lite for for longer than a couple of hours. They area in my sunny spot. I'll wait a couple of days and see if they charge more. UPDATE There is still one that doesn't light very well will contact company. The company has responded to my inquiry and will be sending me a replacement set. I’m glad they are responsive to customer needs.

These are very nice lights, high quality. They cast a beautiful star shape. Perfect brightness.

Quality lacking - Customer service corrected issues

Update:All lights were taken care of by customer services. 4 out of 16 have out of box failure, the lights working are very dim compared to others I purchased. Not great pathway lighting, maybe for decorating landscape only. Wouldn’t suggest for lighting pathways or accent lighting to dim.

Very good but ...

Originally bought three sets (with four lights in each set). Appeared well-built and attractive. All 12 lights worked fine. Lights could be a little brighter, but do last well into night. Bought another set of 4 lights, but one of the lights didn't work. Though it was just a bad battery so ordered batteries to fix myself. Unfortunately, it wasn't the batteries, but rather a defective switch (not user repairable). So one bad light out of 16, but for the price I would have hoped for better quality control. Would have given a 4+ rating if all 16 lights had worked.

Plastic is cheap

One of the spikes broke when attempting to push it into the ground. 3 installed with no issue. Hoping my epoxy fix will work. Disappointing quality, but the 3 lights that did not break look great! Hopefully the seller will read this review and send a replacement.

Unique, attractive, well-built

These came well-packed and were easy to set up. I had to insert them into some relatively packed dirt in a couple spots, but they felt sturdy enough to exert a reasonable amount of force to get them in the ground. They emit a lot of light in a very sharp starburst pattern- these will not produce a soft glow, so it's a fairly contemporary look and will draw a lot of attention.
