Grinder
Grinder is great. Just the box in which this is packed, does not give good protection. I had to hammer the whole guard as to open this after this got damaged during its travel.

Buena herramienta pero no del todo nueva
La pulidora porter Cable de muy buena calidad y potencia solo que la pulidora que me llego ya esta usada, Se le veían algunos detalles que me hacen pensar que esta fue una devolución después de usada varios días pero por evitarle el devolver la pulidora ya que soy de Colombia me quede con ella eso si funciona perfectamente solo que como lo dije ya esta usada aun así la recomiendo totalmente solo que espero no te llegue una usada como me toco a mi....Saludos desde Colombia

The rotary housing gets VERY VERY HOT! let it cool off before you store it. I’m serious. It will burn you and easily melt plastic. If I didn’t wait so long to open the box I would definitely return it. But that boat has sailed. It does spin round and round, and easy to bog down when your tackling a big old welding blob. If you’re not a good welder, you at least need to be good at grinding, and this thing makes it tough to do that.

Good value
This tool is solidly built, better than I expected at this price point. Good balance, easy to maneuver. The switch took a little getting used to, and takes a fair amount of pressure to turn it on, but that's a good safety feature.

Small and powerful
I had the chance to use the grinder today and really like how it performs. I own the larger PorterCable grinder and like that as well. This smaller can get into tight places. Having them both makes work much easier.

No speed control makes it less useful
I needed an inexpensive grinder knock down and level out some high points in a concrete floor. I used this Porter Cable with domed diamond disk for grinding masonry. The switch is a little difficult to use. Slide it forward to turn it on and press in on the back of the switch to turn it off. It takes more force than I expected to turn it off. The biggest drawback is the lack of a variable speed dial/switch. It spins up to the max speed of 12,000 rpm... and it kicked up dust everywhere. Since I was using it for a one off job, I decided to beat the hell out of it. After 20 minutes of use, it did get very hot to the touch, but I did manage to get the floor level. Not bad for $30.

It grinds just as long as the ones costing 4 times more.
Best deal out there for a grinder. I’m very hard on power hand tools. I’m not trashing them or throwing them down hard, or pushing too hard, l just use them daily. I use them and expect them to work as hard as I do. Most tools I buy, sadly, don’t measure up. I know I’m buying a low cost grinder here. That said, how long should a low cost grinder work for if all it’s doing is grinding steel? 2 years, maybe 3 years? I’m lucky if I get 6 months out of it. You may ask why I don’t buy a better grinder? I have, many times, and these last just as long as the ones that cost 4 times as much. So, is it me, or the tool companies that no longer make a quality tool that lasts doing the job it’s only designed to do? I don’t know, but I’ve decided that for the money this is the only grinder I’m going to buy. It will last just as long as all the others and if it’s going to die in 6 months anyway, why spend the extra money! I would gladly buy a nicer tool that not only works, but feels good in the hand, and also lasts, but I have not found one, at least not a hand grinder.

Esta bien para el precio, pero no tiene arranque lento como dice la publicación, ni tan poco swich inteligente, vibra algo, y se calientan bastante los engranes, no esperen mucho del producto

La Adquiri a buen precio , tiene buena potencia y trabaja bien . llego roto maneral no de gran importancia (casi no lo uso ) si se calienta un poco mas de lo normal . Pero fue en una jornada larga de trabajo , asi que enterminos generales es buena compra .

Impresionante Calidad/Precio
Estoy contento con mi compra, es mucho mas ligera que otros modelos de otras marcas que he comprado, menos ruidosa y con un tacto de uso rudo. aunque la posición del botón de encendido/apagado no me agrada mucho ni en su posición, ni en su manera de activarlo me puedo acostumbrar a eso!
