Not real golf ball
Not a 'real' golf ball. It appears to be a dense epoxy/resin ball, made to resemble a golf ball. The ball gouged after 5 hits w/ 6 iron. Of course, the gouges were due to poor swings and bad contact between club and ball. However, I wasn't swinging with power strokes; only fast enough perform a follow-through golf swing.

Ball is cheap plastic that breaks immediately
The biggest problem is the ball and as such, I definitely DO NOT recommend the product. After around 10 swings, the ball was horribly dented/deformed and practically destroyed. I don't even hit particularly hard and it stood no chance. Secondly, the stake assembly comes loose every dozen or so swings but that's mostly just an inconvenience (maybe because my strikes aren't perfectly in-line but that IS the point of it).

Cheap ball
I set this up in the yard and had about 7 or 8 hits before the ball shattered. It’s cheap plastic resembling a ball. I have the tools and ability to drill through a real ball and tie that onto the string. Good to go now but not something everyone would be ok with doing.

Just get a net
I just got this today and took it out back right after work to see how I liked it... It's OK. The ground I set it up in was soft about two thirds of the way down, then got really hard for me to push the stake the rest of the way down. I ended up having to step on it with most of my weight to get it at the right height. I thought, "this will be awesome and sturdy." Not so much. After 5-10 swings with my driver, the trainer would get loose and I'd have to move it to a different spot. The wobble would make it impossible to figure out which way my shots whether my shots were ending up straight, or my typical slice. Same goes for my irons with full swings. Practice chipping was fine and wouldnt work the trainer loose, but going through a full swing always would end up with me having to move the trainer. I'll keep using it and see if harder ground or, possibly, a more consistent, straight swing helps. I'll edit my review if that ends up being the case. As is, it's OK.

Decent product, but better off getting a net and using a ball.
I have had this product set up in my backyard for a few days now and have used it a decent amount of times. If you do not have a mallet, you will need one to set up this product because a regular hammer will bend the material that they used quite easily (I've already had to use a screw driver among other things to bend it back out and reshape the top). Once it is set up, the will hang just over the ground or on the ground depending on the setting you have it on. The rope loop at the top is fastened a bit tight where it is supposed to spin. I actually had to grease mine up a bit to get it to spin correctly because it was getting stuck, thus giving an inaccurate spin. I noticed after a few times of hitting the ball, that the mount starts to come out a bit and I would have to push it back down. The woods work pretty well, but the irons and wedges will eat up the ball pretty quickly. I may already need to find a replacement. I will not be buying again, nor will try to find replacement parts.

This is a pretty neat tool for bettering your golf game
This is a pretty neat tool for bettering your golf game. My step daughters just started golf lessons so this will be nice to have at home for practicing without chasing balls and breaking windows. It's made of sturdy metal material and only 2 main prices to assemble as well as a little screw peice to lock everything in position. There is one larger post and 2 smaller spike to stick in the ground to stand it up. Getting it in the ground was easier than I expected. It says it's a real ball but it does feel a little lighter than a normal golf ball. I don't like that the ball doesn't go all the way to the ground but I do like how it shows the direction of your swing by the directions the ball swings around. I received this product for free in exchange for my hie at opinion.

Not last very long
Pretty good at beginning, but not sturdy at all, only last two months before it broken.

Good while it lasts, but that is not very long.
The feedback on shots is good, works well as a practice aid. Only problem is that the ball does not last very long at all. Ball exploded after 50 or so hits, with large chunks flying off in the direction of where I was aiming, with the chunks travelling at +120mph (my typical clubhead speed) making a nice dent in the fence! It should be ok for someone who uses senior or regular shafts, but if you have a driver swing speed over 95mph I would not bother as you won'y get value out of it.

Ball is not a great quality
The attached ball, is not really of good quality. After about 10 shots, the ball shattered, leaving me now to think of a way to improvise it. The metal unit is sturdy and well put together.

No good!
I got it out the box, used my driver twice, working well and then on the third shot, it went flying over two fences! Best drive I’ve hit in a while to be fair! Disappointed it only last a couple shots! Shame because the arm and anchor is actually well made. The ball is plastic and the rope obviously was cheap material and couldn’t withstand the force when hit. Not great what so ever!
