Perfect Mold

Love how easy the bread comes out of the molds, how easy it is to clean. There was a slight learning curve for me since this is my first Silpat product, but love it! I have more of their products in my cart.

Best for baked goods and egg creations; just okay for ground meats

I wanted to try this with a meatball recipe, and make mini loaves rather than balls. It works best with ground meat with a low fat content. Try to leave a little room around the sides so fat does not bubble over. You can mound above the mold if you are confident of your binding ingredients. Maybe meatballs are easier..... Works fine for mini quiche creations, though. And of course it works for all kinds of baked goods. Allows for the production of an assortment of ingredient combinations. And it does brown whatever you put in them. It is easy enough to clean it up. But you do need to take care to maintain the shape of the compartments. And it does take up a lot of space in a drawer or cabinet. Unfortunately, you do need to keep the tray flat, and you cannot store it folded in half. And you can't cut through it to make a smaller mat. You will ruin it if you cut through the silicone sheet, as it contains fiberglass.

Easy to use and convenient

A neat loaf mold combined with silpat's excellent easy-release silicone mat. I made little angel food cakes in these both with and without baking spray. The ones without did leave a bit of the outer layer behind, but not enough to impact the small loaf. Denser items will probably leave even less behind. These are sturdy enough, but they won't take hard abuse - no accidentally stepping on them or squashing them with heavier pots/pans.

Perfect high-end mini-loaf mold

I've been looking for some nice mini-loaf pans for awhile, and I love the reliable Silpat brand products, so when I found this I just had to give it a try. It will be time for fall and winter baking soon... oh, did I mention the holiday season? Perfect for making gifts of mini-loaves. Just remember to place it on a cookie sheet before putting into the oven. I do recommend saving the package to store it, as it needs to be stored flat and not crushed. If you are like me and would like to try something new, look up "mini loaf recipes" and you will be amazed at what tasty treats you can make!

Silpat is the king | Silpat Perfect Mold Mini Loaf, 11 5/8" x 15 3/4"

I have lots of this type of silicone-coated fibrous cookware and they're all pretty great but there's a reason Silpat is consistently used in commercial kitchens, and that is because the quality is crazy good. This loaf mold is like 2x as thick as my other silicone bakeware and releases even easer than the rest. Perfect loaves every time, this mold is perfect for making my holiday pumpkin breads and fruitcakes (don't knock it, they're super delish) or any mini breads I want to make in bulk in advance and freeze for convenience. Stores easily, holds up to the dishwasher perfectly and works every time. Highly recommended.

Silpat from France, is the go-to product band for silicon cooking. The brand has stood the test of time over the years becoming the one cooks and professional chefs prefer. Ingredients from cookies, cakes, breads, and quick breads bake evenly and then release easily from the molds. Clean-up is a snap, as the products leave the mold almost entirely free of crumbs. They can wiped off or shaken to release the crumbs, or rinsed with water. Even the water shakes off easily and the mold is ready again. When baking, the mold needs to sit on a cooky tray for rigidity. I love Silpat products and have the muffin, mini muffin pans, and have just added the mini loaf. Fun, fun, fun.

Awesome and so easy to wash

This is so much better than a metal baking tray. I have some experience with silicone baking trays and mats, and I can say this didn't disappoint. The little loaves are great and with Silpat, you can go from sweet to savory with just a wash in between. Washing is a breeze too, and I love that no cooking spray or added oils are needed for a healthier baked item. These loaves will be great for making little spice cakes for people for Christmas or making mini meat loaves to freeze ahead. The possibilities are endless! You can't go wrong with this brand.
