Great low cost bench meter, everything works for me.
I posted some pictures to help clear up some confusion on this meters abilities. MICROAMPS I read the MFG specs on micro amps, it reads like it only goes down to 200 uA. I should read the resolution is 000.01 micro amps to 240 uA the range threshold is 0 to 239 uA then range changes to mA at 240 uA as seen in pictures. RESISTANCE Yes, the continuity voltage is 6.4 volts and the resistance voltage is 1 volt. there was some concern about this damaging components. See the photos of the FLUKE 179's, they have an even higher voltage output . of 2.7 volts for resistance and 7.33 volts for continuity. I have never read a review questioning this on FLUKE. I have been using Flukes for 37 years and have never damaged anything with one. They have been an industry leader in test equipment forever. I think the Siglent will be ok too. SUB OHM READING 4 Wire resistance testing, works great for me even with cheap kelvin probes, see photo's. INPUT VOLTAGE SWITCH Yes, the power input switch is factory set to 220v, it also has a sticker over the power cord receptacle warning you to set your input voltage before you plug it in. BREATHING POWER LAMP Yes, the power led breaths in standby and is on solid when powered up. I like this feature because it reminds me to shutdown my power strip. The only thing I didn't like about this unit is the carry handle is cheap and it removes too easily. I can live with that for the money I saved.. Yes, the BIG name test equipment is better by far and is what I have used all my life, but for home or small business this equipment needs a look. Rigol and Siglent are two new names on my bench, to go with TEK, Fluke and Agilent, Remember they are made in China too. ;) Hope this helps.

Mixed Feelings
I purchased this unit back in 2017 because I have several other meters that I wanted to calibrate, and this thing had the accuracy to do it. When I got it I was sure I would just love it. Honestly it had capabilities beyond what I needed. But after a while I had to admit that the throbbing green power light just bugged me when the meter was off, so I connected it to a switched socket so I could avoid its distraction. A few days later I was using it and pushed a button on the front, heard the relay click, but the display and buttons had became unresponsive and I had to power it off and back on to make it work again. After a while it became clear that it would simply freeze on occasion for no particular reason. Naturally that considerably reduced my expectations of it''s reliability. I have dealt with a lot of test equipment over the years, and never ran into a DMM that freezes up before this one. Still, even with a couple of imperfections, it worked good enough to serve the intended purpose until about mid 2021 when the display completely stopped working and it became a paperweight. As I have not been able to find sufficient information to repair it or even get it repaired , it sits on a self in the garage awaiting it's fate.

good quality, good features, great price
Watch the review and teardown videos before you decide! If you *really need* the name brand, don't even think about it, just get off your wallet and buy something like a Keysight 34450A, Fluke 8808A, or Keithley 2110. But this unit does essentially the same job at a considerably lower price. I have never needed a meter with this much precision before, or if did, my employer provided it, but the project I'm currently consulting on requires better precision than my Fluke 115 or ancient B&K 2945 handhelds. But I just didn't want to shell out for a name brand only to have it gather dust on the shelf after the project was over. Reviews on this unit are mostly positive. The only alternative I saw in this price range was a Rigol DM3058, but the large color graphic display on the Siglent convinced me. The only real drawback that I've seen so far is that it takes ~15 seconds for a low range reading to fully stabilize. This looks like a great meter with one minor thing to point out
I really like the meter and think it's a great value. Make sure to set the mains voltage on the power supply as Step 1! Here's the one minor thing - using the included leads in the continuity setting...it's really touchy and seems slow. Slow to show open and closed. No way in the world I'd trust this meter for continuity with the included leads. Because I replace the leads on anything but Agilent or Fluke with Probe Master, I did the same here. Now it's working as expected - instant results open or closed, no matter how fast you tap the leads or how gently. I haven't tried to clean or otherwise prepare the included leads - should I have to do that? I don't think I should. Overall, a very good meter with out-of-the-box leads that seem not so good.

Seems accurate to me
Needed a bench meter for my home setup. I've been liking the Siglent equipment so I gave this a try. I'm an EE and so far I love Siglent equipment.

Can’t beat the price
This against the agilent 6.5’s we use at school seem to be equivalent for practical purposes. We end up using SMUs for really low current or logging, but my Siglent holds its own with what I use it for keeping track of long delta current measurement logging, and end up turning it on instead of grabbing a handheld for pretty much anything. Everything is within the advertised tolerances, no complaints.

Do not use this horrible product is a crazy mess, I talking about the Amazon credit

GREAT DVM
This review Siglent Technologies SDM3055 5.5 DMM. This is a fantastic product to add or update an existing lab, shop. Great for an engineer, Technician or hobbyist. It is very well made with large bright display panel. The user manual is great. Good detail, well written, and easy to understand. I've put it through some test and am very pleased. Checked stability over 48hrs, after 30min warmup (STD). and it was well within specs. Worth the money. Love it, easy to use.

Totally OCD compliant!
Takes 30 minutes to warm-up for best accuracy but so does most precision electronics equipment so thats not unexpected. Extremely accurate, and just to put that into perspective. When measuring the voltage of a battery, you can watch the lowest digit drop as the capacity decreases from the high-impedance load of the meter. I got the high-end Siglent Arbitrary Waveform Generator too and WOW, this equipment is better than lab equipment costing many times the price. Siglent is a serious contender: - great packaging - great docs - outstanding support You can actually download the SERVICE MANUALS online,.. remarkable quality - like HP used to be.

Big easy to read display;)
Good lab type DVOM. Features 5 1/2 digits, trend & history charts, capacitor value finder, frequency counter, diode check, 2&4 wire resistance measurements, trigger mode, relative measurements, DC&AC amps 200mA -10A, math functions: statistics, limits, dB & dBm, limit tests. Analog filter, period measurements, overvoltage protection to 1000v, programmable screen saver and much more. If you want a good lab DVOM it is hard to do better. I was hesitating between this one and the Rigol DM3058 unit of the same caliber for slightly more money but the big yellow on black number display of the Singlent won me over.

An excellent addition to any serious workbench.
I would have given the product 5 stars but just like another reviewer I received a unit that has been sitting in storage since 2019 (2 years). If this is a trend, they should provide a complimentary calibration that can be used when you receive the equipment. I don't care about it sitting in a warehouse for years but now I have an added expense that I wasn't expecting. I'm very happy with the actual meter and understand that my complaint has to do with distribution and not the equipment itself but it's all part of the process that we have to account for, deal with and subsequently pay for.

Siglent SDM3055 DMM
New Siglent SDM3055 is a cost effective DMM which features a 5.5 digits accuracy. It has all the features built in for a low cost bench DMM usually found in a much expensive machine. The built quality is excellent and it has a new updated front panel. I enjoyed using it for daily work.

Worth a look.
A Good bench meter. The user interface is a bit klunky, but you get used to it. The trend plot is a great feature. AC and DC accuracy seems good. The display is big and easy to read although the 2nd function display is rather small. I like it, and would recommend it to someone on a budget and doesn’t have a strong preconceived idea of what a bench DMM should be. You can tell Siglent is trying hard to build a good product.
