Worked well for a few weeks

This worked great and I was happy to find it for 1/2 the price of the pet store. But it got too small by 10#. Not sure how a 16# dog would fit comfortably in this. Overall wish I could’ve used it longer but had to go to a bigger canvas travel crate.

Lightweight, Good ventilation, but no interior safety harness

I liked that it was lightweight and folds nearly flat when not using. It feels very rubbery which makes me think it is waterproof and could be easily cleaned. There is a nice Sherpa pad that you can put in it or remove for cleaning. The ventilation seems good. But there is no internal safety tether to keep your dog from jumping out. It is the only bag I’ve seen without one and was a deal breaker for me. I don’t want to keep my poor dog zipped up in this thing without the option to open it. Such a simple thing. Why would they not have one? It is also a little too tall for her to pop her head out comfortably, which I guess doesn’t matter since there is no tether so I could never allow her to do that. If it had a tether this would have been my first pick. Instead I am trying to decide between the Kurgo G Train which is fantastic, but lacks sufficient ventilation or the Timbuk2, which is great except it may be too big for plane travel due to it’s rigid frame that won’t allow you to squish it down.

But the straps....

At first it seemed like there was something missing....like we had two female parts on the strap connector. But I read the reviews and figured out...if you turn the part on the end of the strap sideways you can kind of jam it through the part on the pack. Success! It is going to be a tight fit for our (tall/lanky) jackahuahua. But if the carrier was any bigger it would not be acceptable to the airline (it's actually 1 inch over on 1 dimension as-is). I've found that - now that airlines won't accept Emotional Support Animals - they tend to be more lenient with carrier size. Ideally, our dog will sleep through most of the flight any way. We don't fully enclose her until the last possible second and then let her out as soon as we arrive. Being in a cramped carrier as a small dog is no different than me (a human) being in a cramped airline seat - it's OK for the short trips but no way would it work for, like, a 12 hour flight. I'm just thankful we can still bring little mama with us to her Chihuahua Motherland. She just wants to be with us and this carrier allows that to happen.

Used on Alaska Airline

This carrier worked great for my 8 pound poodle mix. It felt much more secure to carry the dog in a backpack, rather than with a shoulder strap bag. Our dog is small enough to curl up on the bottom of the bag when it sits upright. But, it was also long enough for him to stretch out when the bag was horizontal. The side mesh panels allowed the dog to see me when he was tucked under the seat and that helped calm him. There is one design flaw with the removable and foldable "floor". It's hinged in the middle so you can use it in both the prone or upright position. But, there isn't any way to prevent the floor from flopping over onto the dog when you tip the carrier from prone to upright. I used adhesive velcro to secure the floor to the bottom of the bag. Problem solved. We have used this bag only on Alaska Airlines, and we upgraded to first class because this was our first time traveling with the dog. We assumed that the area under the seat would be slightly larger in first class. Even so, it was a tight fit.

Product as Described

We were traveling with a Corgi who is very long. She is 8 months, 17 lbs. and needed the entire (end to end) expandable section to be comfortable. While carrying her, she was a little cramped but once we used the extendable area, she was much more comfortable. It was a tight fit under the airplane seat. The construction of the unit was well designed with the exception of the zipper on the extendable section. All other zippers had a safety latch on them, but the extendable zipper did not. Our girl is very smart and easily figured out how to nudge it open. We made sure that this zipper area was blocked. The materials used were very sturdy and durable. As our furry companion is still a puppy, she was digging at the mesh area, and it held well. If there one thing, I would change would be to make the entire unit square. The side facing out has a curve to it. Making it square would give your pet just a tad more room. As we tried several, this was the best fit for us and our Corgi.

Great backpack for airline travel

Fits very comfortable as a backpack. I used it for airline travel on American. Many people didn’t even realize my dog was in there, which was great. The only thing I wish Was different about this bag is the way it converts from a backpack into a regular carrier. You have to remove both straps and then reattach one. I wish there was just an extra strap to make this process easier. Other then that, I totally recommend this dog carrier.

So far so good

The backpack in itself is pretty good, very sturdy compared to other ones I've tried. The quality is very nice, and its design is very versatile, which is really why I bought the backpack in the first place. My 10lbs cat doesn't seem to mind it nearly as much as other carriers, which I consider a big plus. There are a few things that can be improved but overall, this is one of the better cat backpacks at a reasonable price and I'm happy with it. What could be improved: - there is no tether inside the backpack, which means your pet could escape during travel - the backpack straps are fairly long even when adjusted to the minimum length, which could be problematic for shorter people Note: putting together the backpack is a little confusing, but there is a video on their website explaining it.

Love this back pack carrier

Our kitties were getting too heavy to hand carry in airport with long walks to planes . This Carrier solves the problem as the weight is distributed evenly on back. It is sturdy and nice looking. We got one for each of our cats and they seem happy in it.

I love the size my bichon puppy is growing in to it. The only thing I don't like is the zippers. They tend to get stuck.

Comfortable and convenient carrier!

Really well made product! I like how easy it is to change the straps from backpack to carrier. It's lightweight, looks good and seems pretty comfortable for my puppy. He's only 5 lbs and at first glance I thought the carrier would be claustrophobic for him but he actually has plenty of space in both backpack/carrier mode. I feel fairly confident he'll still be comfortable in it when he's fully grown (10-12lbs).

Es muy pequeña no cabe un schnauzer o puede caber pero en la aerolínea quieren que se puedan parar dentro de la jaula o maleta
