Here's a carpenter tip you might not know. When attaching two pieces of wood with a wood screw, as the joint begins to get tight you may see the two wood pieces separate a little. They just pull apart as you try to tighten the screw. You should tighten it most of the way (but not all the way, do not over work it and strip the wood out) and then back the screw out until you see the gap close, and then when you run the screw up, the joint should stay tightened this second go round. The stools will be more solid this way. I also had a slightly high floor tile so I removed the button from that leg and shortened the leg a hair and then put the button back on. It is attached with a tack mounted to the plastic button. It is on tight so be careful removing it. A small flathead screwdriver will get it started, and pliers to slightly rotate it also helps.

Cheap Construction, Look Nice, Not Real Leather
My stools arrived today and one set of H frames are unacceptable.... one had chipped piece of wood that looks like someone disguised it with a black felt tip marker, the other H frame had a crack down the leg. The underneath part of the chair had cracked wood too. The frame of these chairs looks like it's make from cheap pine. I am exchanging the damaged seat for a new one. Otherwise, they are nice looking.... oh, and these are not leather.... but they look decent enough to pass for leather. I have no idea if theyll stand the test of time, but this isn't a good start. The shortest person in my famity is me at 5'11" and I really hope these stools can hold the weight of decent sized person in my family. I'll let you know how it goes.

I bought a pair of these stools to replace some lesser quality stools which began to fall apart within a year of purchasing. The reviews for these stools seemed good so I decided to spend the money and give them a shot. The first set arrived and there was a pretty large scratch on one of the legs, I contacted the seller and they exchanged them quickly. Thankfully the second set arrived in great condition. The stools were easy to assemble. I have them sitting at my kitchen counter height bar and they are the perfect height. The seat is a bit larger than my previous stools but they are nice and comfortable and seem more stable. So far they seem to accommodate 250+ pounds of weight with no issues. Only time will tell how they hold up in the long run but for now they look great and function well.

The bar stools are really nice and exactly as I envisioned they would be. However, the only fault I have is there were missing lock washers which are an important part of keeping the screws tight on a product like this and they were missing and I had to go to Lowes to find some so I could finish putting them together. It was not worth calling customer service over and returning the product when for a buck I got what I needed and handled it. This note is just to let the "quality control" department know they should check the packaging more closely to ensure all parts are present. When you spend $300 bucks on something (I ordered two sets), you expect all the necessary parts to be present.

These are fabulous! They were easy to put together, the leather is nice, the nail heads are secure, and the legs are sturdy. The funniest thing about them is the instructions. There is a line in there about what to do if the stool wobbles after you have put it all together: "Place the chair on a level surface to see if it wobbles. If it wobbles, lift the chair to some 30 cm to 50cm height from the ground. Keep our feet and toes well away from the drop zone. Drop the chair freely and vertically with the four legs hitting the ground at the same time." HAHA - or, you could just make sure the nuts and bolts are tightened evenly. Great for the kitchen counter. I would definitely buy them again.

These were a good quality, but I sent them back. They are rather beefy and overpowered my space. I'm sure they would be beautiful in the right place.

If only...
Overall, I like the chairs in general. The seats are pretty comfortable, and stylish looking. Matched great with my furniture. I had ordered 2 sets of these chairs, 1 set was great no problems. **HOWEVER**, the other set I am unhappy with: The wood underneath 1 chair was cracked all over (this worries me in terms of the lifespan it'll have), and one corner of the screw holes were not aligned precisely causing me to take a long time trying to screw the legs in. The other chair the leather edge a small section was worn out already. Once set up, the chairs wobble b/c of uneven screws/legs; luckily it doesn't seem to shake and wobble when sat on... Obviously these are not to be expected when I paid $140+ for them... Additionally, 1 of the chairs, I forget in which set looked like there was roaches in that factory/storage where it was kept, had black dots all over, and a tiny dead roach flattened into the wood. Disgusting! If I didn't have these problems I would of given it 5/5.
