Great for the Price

Great little bistro set with one BIG issue. This set is similar to the ones you would see outside restaurants. It's large enough for tea or coffee service and maybe some small plates of muffins. Sort of a breakfast table and chairs for outdoor use. It's relatively sturdy for a thin aluminum metal although I suspect over tine the screws that hold it together are going to rust and that will be it. The finish is not like the cast tables or chairs you see in outdoor stores. It's black but with a copperish tinge. It doesnt exactly go with my other outdoor furniture, but it's far enough away that it doesn't make a difference. This is not a heavy furniture set. It's much lighter than what I bought at Harrows. Also there is a largish hole on the top that you might think is for an umbrella. Nope. It's just the design. Instructions tell you not to use an umbrella with this table. Overall, I am happy with it for the purpose i bought it. But there is ONE big flaw that other people have written about in their reviews. You'll note quite a few reviews that say the table arrived broken, etc. Mine wasn't exactly broken, but one of the rods for a chair back was bent and would not fit into the seat. Amazon refunded some of my money and thankfully with a leatherman pliers, I was able to bent the rod inward enough to fir in the seat and fasten the whole thing together. So beware...you might get something far worse. I was one of the lucky ones and I'm happy with the purchase

Great Buy!

The product is great. For some reason it disappeared out of my orders, so after waiting three days for it to arrive, I had to reorder it and wait again...but to be fair, 6 days is not a long wait time. The seats of the chairs themselves are a bit smaller than I was expecting, but still comfortable, and assembly was fairly easy-however-and this is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, not all of the pieces fit exactly, so I had to modify the cross braces a bit-other than that-no troubles...and even with the little bit of trouble I had, it's still totally worth the money, and it comes in an easy to story box-so if you're shopping early for summer, go ahead and get it, it won't be in your way! Would also make a great gift if you know someone with a small patio space. Mine fits neatly in the corner of my balcony!

Just what I Was Looking For

I had a spot in my garden for a small table to use with my beach type umbrella (smaller than a regular one) and this table proved to be exactly what I was looking for. On the positive side, the set is nice looking and easy to assemble and, as I said, just what I was looking for in a reasonable price range. On the negative side, the original set came missing a couple of rubber leg tips. In order to get these I had to have a whole new shipment sent, open the package, take out missing parts, repackage and wait for pick-up. Unfortunately, my scheduled pick up came before the replacement package arrived. All in all, not a great pick up system and it seems to me quite a waste of time and money. But, Amazon did it free of charge so why complain?. Bottom line ... I'm glad I bought it.

Easy assembly, sturdy, rich color, and light weight.

Overall, easy to put together. The directions are useless, so don't bother with them. Just remember that you use the flat washer, the split washer, then the nut. The finish coated some of the mounts, so they had to be cleaned a bit with a wire brush. The table and chairs are fairly sturdy. One of the chairs doesn't sit flat without messing with the adjustment bolts, but that would be why they are there. You will want to use your own tools and the kit doesn't come with a Phillip or flat head screwdriver, both of which you will need. The set comes in a quite small box and weighs less than I had expected. Overall it works out quite well for my space (kitchen), plus I like the look of them. The coloration was better in person (more rich).

Beautiful Set for a small space!

This is a beautiful set for my small front porch, and the design is in sync with my Craftsman style bungalow. The reason I held back a star is that 3 of the levelers on the feet of the table and chairs were broken on arrival. If they hadn't been pre-attached, this may not have occurred. We went to the hardware store and made new ones using bolts that fit and non-skid feet (the only ready-made levelers they carried were a smaller size than needed). This was kind of a pain in the butt, but I didn't want to send the set back and risk another broken part. The result is worth it, though... I absolutely adore the set. Easily put together; just to challenge myself I didn't get the real tools out, just used what they sent.

Beautiful set!

I had a lovely raised bed garden installed this Spring, but it was missing something. I added a planter, but not enough bing. Then I saw this lovely bistro set in aluminum with a copper/bronze hue to the finish and it was perfect as the centerpiece of the garden with a lovely flowering plant on the table top. You can even sit in the chairs and use the hose and water the garden while enjoying coffee! The set had a small damaged area underneath where one of the legs connected, but we were able to use a type of metal glue and it has been no problem as far as stability. The whole bistro set comes in a small box and puts together easily and is very elegant out there. One of my neighbors said my garden area looked like provincial France (he's from England, too). It has endured numerous rain storms and still no wear or tear. I am very pleased with the pattern on the table and chairs, too.
