Very Nice Addition to Skincare Regimen

This is a very nice addition to any skin care regemin, especially if you're looking to add the benefits of vitamin C to your skin care routine, plus it has the added benefit of zinc. It comes with 4 masks (that should be used about once a week) that you make by mixing a powder packet with one ounce of water. Very easy to use, just make sure you actually measure out the water to get the full benefits of the mask and wait for it to dry properly before rinsing off. Like all masks, it's a bit of a pain to wash off but it really does leave your skin feeling refreshed. The vitamin C serum is supposed to be used twice a day. I personally use it before doing my makeup in the morning and again at night. The good thing about this product is, unlike some other serums I've used, this actually doesn't make it harder to put on your makeup. It absorbs easily and leaves your skin smooth and ready for foundation. If you have dry spots on other parts of your body you can use it there too. It's not limited to helping heal the skin on your face. Just make sure you follow the directions and add one drop at a time because a little does go a long way. The products do feel tingly and might irritate those with extremely sensitive skin. I have sensitive skin and I definitely felt the products, but not to the point they were uncomfortable and I didn't have any adverse reactions. Overall they are good ingredients but they are a bit of a pain to use (in terms of preparation). If you don't like spending a lot of time on skincare this probably isn't the set you're looking for. If you don't mind spending the prep time, however, and use this properly it is a great way to add vitamin C and zinc to your skincare routine.

Non-irritating vegan set

This is a unique set. The only item that arrives pre-mixed and ready to go is the cream. Both the serum and masque require mixing before use. Obviously, mixing with water is normal for a masque. The serum requires a pack of vitamin C crystals to be mixed in and fully dissolved before use. The crystals take a while to fully dissolve and the manual suggests allowing them to do so overnight. Once ready, everything was easy enough to apply. The cream has perfect weight, not too light or thick. It applies very smoothly and absorbs quickly. The masque and serum were par for the course as far as texture and consistency. Other than a refreshed feeling after the masque, which I typically feel anyhow, I found nothing remarkable either good or bad about each at the moment. They both did what they were supposed to do and made my face feel softer and more refreshed after application but I need to see if they have any distinguishing long term effects like reducing lines and evening out skin tone. I do like the fact that this set is free from heavy scents in addition to being made in the USA and being cruelty-free. I have tried numerous different face creams over the past few month. Some were good, some were bad, some made my skin break out. I'd place this unique vegan-friendly set somewhere in the upper-middle of the pack. It's not among the top items I've used but it's far from the worst as well. Best of all, this set did not cause my sensitive skin to suffer any irritation or breakouts. It's a nice option for anyone looking specifically for a vegan friendly set that will do a decent job.

The Malibu C Perfection Face & Body Wellness Collection is here on my desk for review. The box comes with 1. The Perfection Vital Creme. 2. The Perfection C Serum. 3. The Perfection Masque, which comes in four small packets. The directions call for us to begin with the C Serum and a drop at a time to apply this serum to any body parts that are dry and need attention. My heels are a good example of a body part that can use some help. After the C Serum is applied, next we rub in the Vital Creme, in this case to my heels. I won’t be using the four packets of Masque. I have used Vitamin C Serum in the past and it does work well to heal and moisturize the skin, but many products are available, all usually expensive, and each of us will have a different response to the products. Before using the C Serum we need to activate it with a package of Vitamin C Activating Crystals. This is easy enough to do. Open the bottle of C Serum, tear open the package of activating crystals, pour it in the bottle of C Serum, shake well, and then let sit over night. Store the bottle in the refrigerator so the serum won’t spoil. If stored this way it should keep for a year. Results don’t happen overnight. I’ll come back in a month and update this review to report on whether I receive lasting benefits from using this regimen. So far so good.

Not Sure if the Price is Worth It- yet

I've been using this Vitamin C serum and moisturizer for nearly three weeks. I haven't noticed much in the way of repairing fine lines or restoring of luminosity but I haven't had any dry patches or irritations. My face feels more moisturized and I do try to use vitamin C on my face to help with anti-aging. My biggest problem with this set is the fact you have to do the mixing yourself. At this price point, I would expect the serum to be pre-mixed. In fact, I normally use Lilyana's Vitamin C (right around $20) and have had more benefit from that than the Malibu. The Malibu serum bottle opening is too small and even once I got the powder poured in, it was still grainy feeling- even days later. The smell of the serum and lotion are ok. Not much of a scent and it dissipated quickly. The mask is still sitting by my sink- you have to mix it and I just don't have the time to work on that in the evenings. Overall, I think it is a fine product, if you're willing to spend a lot and work with it. However, for my busy schedule, I prefer Lilyana products. They work just as well and for a lot less money.
