Sensitive skin approved and really works on dark spots

I really wish I’d taken a before photo and could show how quickly this acne scar has lightened up. Those mask years really kicked up the acne around my mouth … that plus signs of aging on my upper lip, it almost looked like I had a mustache but closer inspection of skin showed it was dark spots. This gel has worked so well that all the skin around my mouth has lightened up/evened out. 43 year old with sensitive skin/rosacea. This didn’t dry me out either. I bought their scrub and that is somewhat drying but not bad. I’ve spent hundreds on clean products at Sephora and this gel works better than any drunk elephant or the less expensive ordinary solution. If you’re on the fence, I’d recommend trying this.

It works!

I’ve had acne scars for years and years now but this stuff actually works. It takes a week or two to kick in but it helps with discoloration and surfacing. Tip: use acne scrub/cleanser first then apply just gel on spot; don’t clog your face with products on top of this gel. Very happy with this purchase!

Formulation is Perfect - Price and Results leave much to be desired

The formulation is great. It is a moisturizing lotion like serum and the ingredient list has some real all-stars. I think it is very overpriced for the amount you get and the fact that, even though the ingredients are great, it seems to take several tubes to see any drastic results. If you use it as a spot treatment, you may feel that you get your money's worth if you're willing to wait out the time but I don't really thing the formulation lends itself to being used solely as a spot treatment. It's so creamy and light, and application is like a dream so it really feels like something you want to use as an allover (face) product. If the price were adjusted or the volume of product was increased, it would be such a worthy product. It has so much potential as a staple product but it falls just a little short for the reasons stated.

Not really sure what I think

I got it for acne scars but the scars are rather old and a few of them are rather large. I think it's working. I may just be asking for too much from a product. Maybe if they were newer. Like I said I think it's working somewhat

Had moderate acne scars for several years.

Years back I had severe acne and like an idiot I would always pick at it. With this product I've seen changes within less than a week, and now my face feels so smooth lol. Easily worth every penny.

I wouldn’t recommend anything else for scarring/hyperpigmentation or even just enlarged pores

I mean wow. I love this product. I know it says the results aren’t instant but I could swear they are. I applied this for the first time at night right after cleansing, I put an even layer on my post acne scars and then followed up with a moisturizer and serum I had been using for months. I woke up and my skin was brighter, my pores were smaller the texture and color in my skin was noticeably better. Second night, same results only even better. Two weeks later, what scars? Pores? Never heard of heard of them. Omg I just love it. I genuinely thought I would have these scars for life and two weeks. Two stinkin weeks. I’m so happy. Needless to say I recommend this product. Also it didn’t irritate or break my skin out, huuuge plus.

It actually does something

This product is a pleasant surprise. I didn’t think it would actually do much, however to my delight, it is improving the look of my skin. I use it as a spot treatment for some dark spots left over from acne and also to smooth some areas with mild to moderate pick axe scarring. I assumed it would help lighten the dark areas, but I’m so impressed that it has actually started to smooth the scarring as well. This isn’t an overnight fix, but it works. I will continue to use this product, and I’m very hopeful things will only get better with time. Great product, and I love Differin in general.
