My mistake for buying this. Do you know how much coffee 80 people at an event will drink? Or, if you add a decaf coffeemaker, then how much do you make? The minimum amount these coffee makers need to produce to work is 60 cups. I had no idea how much coffee people drank, so I ordered the 100-cup version. When you serve cookies, too, people go back for more, right? Well, it turns out that if you also have an urn (or cistern) with lemon-water in it, and if you also have an urn with decaf, they don't drink 50 cups. These DO work, though you have to check them to make sure they're on and functioning after you set them up. The big ones, like this one, use lots of coffee (not cheap -- but you can get it preground, of course, at a large-volume food store). And the worst thing is that you have to lug them around. They're about the size of one of those ultra large, stainless-steel, foot-pedal operated trash cans that you can get at BB &B. Or, let's see -- I'm 5'6" and they come up to my hips when you put them on the floor. You have to put your arms around them to carry them. It takes 30 minutes for the coffee to brew, so get wherever you're going EARLY enough to set them up. Most venues I've used will let me in 30 minutes ahead, but that means that THIS IS THE FIRST THING THAT HAS TO GO IN AND BE CONNECTED AND SET UP, and everything else done after this if you want coffee to be ready when people start arriving. My advice would be to buy the 60-cup size or less. Live and learn. Plus, they take up a LOT of storage space in the garage. Can't wait to stop being president of this club so I can pass these on to the next person!

Pros and cons listed below
PROS -worked well while it lasted -great volume -great look -can't beat the price -water stays hot -stainless steel is much better then aluminum(healthwise) -cleans well inside with water and vinegar CONS -broke in under 2 years(1yr and 8mths)...they don't make things to last anymore -they do not sell replacement parts so if it breaks (the plastic tab that you press for water flow snapped)The whole thing is garbage because repair places can't get the part to fix it -if it breaks during the warranty time you have to return the whole huge thing for a replacement because they will not just send you a replacement part -stainless steel exterior was really thin. When emptying it to clean it it dented really easily so you have to be very careful when tipping it to empty the last of the water. I wanted to give it a 3 because of the replacement part issue and because it should have lasted more then 2 years but to be nice I gave it a 4 because the price is good. But seriously, if it is not going to last price is not that relevant I am deciding on what to buy now and hesitant to buy it again because I want something that will last. I don't know if this is a common issue

Not worth it
So I bought this coffee pot for an brunch I was doing on April 9. I the day of the party I hope it up, pour the grounds into the filter and turned it on. I could smell the new product smell, kind of when plastic gets hot but I knew it was because the coffee pot was new. When my guest went to serve themselves coffee they got a cup of coffee grounds poured in to their cup. It was a little embarrassing to be honest. But I just grab a strainer and tried to get rid of the coffee grounds and pour the coffee I to the pot. At the end of the event I went to clean the coffee pot and the inside bottom was full of coffee grounds. That Sunday after the event I reach out to Amazon to let them know there must be a defect on the coffee filter and was look to get it replace or a refund. They told me since I missed my return date they could do anything about it. It’s a bummer because I liked the way it looks and very professional looking for events since we are always entertaining. The filter has big gaping holes and the coffee grounds leak through. So sad.

I was very impressed with the quality and taste of the Coffee ☕️ ???? loved that I was able to set up time for brewing. Everyone was very happy ???? this is saying alot! Wonderful product would recommend Coffee maker to any business that requires alot of Coffee

It's all good now
I bought this for our church dinners ... I actually bought two. Main complaint is that if the insides are not perfectly located the water heats but does not perc. Once the water is hot if it hasn't 'made coffee' all you can do is start over with cold water because the 'done' light will just stay on if you try to get it to reperc. So one worked great the other I only got hot water. Will give the one that didn't make coffee another try before sending it back for a replacement ... I am assuming it was not having the insides correctly located as the problem because this happened to a friend with the same coffee maker and that is how she resolved the problem. If it works next time then I'd raise my review to 4 stars. The FIX worked. Just make sure the insides are located properly and you get great coffee.

I love it!
I love it, I bought the first one and it had a small dent and the water level view window thermometer seemed to slant to the right to far. I was going to return the item for a better one hoping to receive a dent free and a different view thermometer. When I received the second one, it was dent free. So I decided to keep them both one for daily or friends only and one for my special buffet dinner get togethers. Mine does not leak. It does turn itself off. For me, it was a hot hot cup of coffee. Did not use the timer. LOVE IT!

Does the job.
We are NOT coffee drinkers, but as a FRG Leader with our military unit, I was constantly having to borrow urns for events that require coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Since we do not drink coffee, I didn't want to spend a fortune & the price was right on this one. It takes awhile to heat up the water, so make sure you give yourself a half hour to make coffee. Once it's going, it goes faster, just the initial heat up seems to take awhile. Works great. It's VERY light, so you're not hauling 20 lbs of urn around, and it's easy to clean. Will work for our coffees, meetings, events now & will be nice to have as my kids get older & want hot chocolate for sleepovers & such.

Works well for our needs
This is used in an office setting where it is on all day and it has worked well for our needs. We use it to make a large batch of tea and have not had any leaks or troubles. We've had it for 10 months.

Broke after very little use
The dispenser tap is plastic and has broken after only a couple of uses. However I am outside of the very short warranty period, and now this is useless to me. Something that gets this hot needs a metal spout.
