Can we buy well made products any more?

I had my first this coffee urn about 30y ago, it still running good only with a tuff cleaning once a while. I need another one, ordered one n 3/20 for $123.61, came with a missing a black cap for the water window, returned and reordered another one on 3/25 but at $149.99, price went up in 5days. what bother me the most is that at the hole at the bottom for coffee filter is poorly made, feel sharp, you can cut yourself at cleaning or calcium or coffee built up badly there. Please refer to picture, it is difficult to explain, I am returning it again. Thank you Amazon for good returning policy.

Has An Achilles Heal

From looking at the features and materials used this Hamilton Beach Stainless Steel 60 cup Coffee Urn seemed like the cats meow of coffee makers for parties. The components fit well inside the tank and the lid and content level feature were very nice. However this is where this product lost it big time. Everything is well made, quality material, fit well and nice looking but the one hand dispenser lever really sucks. The black plastic for the lever is cheap, does not fit well to the spout ( it flops around ). One of the most important parts and the most use feature of this unit, the dispenser lever, is the cheapest part on the product. We were not going to allow ourselves to deal with issues when it breaks or fails to work as expected, therefore we returned it. If this one part was corrected Hamilton Beach would have the best Stainless Steel 60 Cup Coffee Urn around. As of now (2023-01) we do not recommend this product.

Life saver for a large family

First time I bought this urn 17 years ago. Since then, I bought 5 of them to replace the original one. It calls a coffee urn, but I am using it as a cattle to keep hot water warm all day long. I had a family of 10, and now we are down to 7 and it is still the best ever for the hot water.

It makes noise watch video

The media could not be loaded. It works as it should. The water is hot almost boiling. It's about boiling and making the boiling noise as the video. If this noise not normal. Please let me know. This is my first own.

Still breaking it in

We've only used it once for a Principal's Coffee function, but here are our thoughts so far... -It gets HOT, not just the metal body and lid, but also the knob on the top of the lid. So, be sure to use a potholder if you need to open the lid before the contents are cool. And don't place the cups and condiments close to the unit, or someone might brush their hand on the metal and get burned. -The lid does not fit snugly. Also, there are three small vent holes about 1/2 inch above the 60 cup fill line. So, there will likely be spillage of hot coffee if you need to move the urn while it's full. In addition, steam comes out of the gap around the lid, so keep your hands away from the lid area while the urn is percolating. -It does not have an on/off switch - the plug is the on/off switch. This causes issues with those who assume that it has a switch because they want to plug the unit in first, then add the water. This will burn out the heating element, so be sure never to plug in the urn until it has water in it, and the lid is fastened in place. -We used the 30 cup brew level, and used 2 cups of coarse grind coffee (according to the recommendation in the instruction manual). A number of parents said the coffee was a little weak. -The coffee did stay hot, but our function only lasted a bit over an hour. That's all the info we have at this point - hope it's helpful!

Very beautiful coffee percolator

I love this coffee pot. I use it when our large family gets together. It makes 50 cups. It makes great coffee and it is a very nice looking coffee perc. It's easy to clean and solid stainless steel. It is a good value for the money.

Does not do what it is supposed to.

The coffee pot that we just received does not stop heating & perking, heating & perking, heating & perking, this is not what we normally expected. We feel there is a flaw in this product so would like it replaced.

重宝してます

米国内仕様なので電圧120V用ですが100Vでもカップ数が多いときは一寸多めに時間が掛かると思いますが十分使えて重宝しています。

Bon rapport qualité-prix.

Bon percolateur avec un très beau design. Un peu lent, ça prend 1h15 pour 60 tasses. Le mécanisme pour verser le café est en plastique et semble bien fragile... à suivre...
