My large BC just falls off...but it seems pretty sturdy

Updated: Changed from 2 to 4 stars. I realized it wasn't fair to rate it that low just because it doesn't work with my specific BC; others say it works great. I'm not out any money because they offer free returns (could be limited to Prime members...dunno). ---- original review unmodified --- Pros: looks slick, thick plastic, seems really sturdy Cons: BC just slides off the hanger. My Zeagle Zena with large back plane and large vest just slide right off the hanger. I've tightened everything up yet still..slides off. My wife's XS Zeagle Stiletto generally stays on the hanger. I'm concerned it too will slide off the hanger if nudged by something else in the closet. I was suspicious when I couldn't find photos or videos with BCs on this hanger; not here, not on the manufacturers site. I found one YouTube vid that included this hanger and the reviewer just talked about the cool design and thick plastic...he never hung a PC on it. Maybe these hangers were designed for jacket style BCs. Maybe they were shooting for looking funky than actually working.

Why slot so small?

Updated after nine months: The opening on the hanger hook is just not functional. It does not really work on any kind of surface or bar. It's too small an opening for a regular bar and it bends too far around to hang on a door jamb. It's a very poor design and makes the hanger unusable for me. ======================== As others have said, this is a great hanger except that the opening at the hook is too closed, it's not possible to fit many closet rods or odd spots one might use a hanger through the tiny opening. It's also too small to allow the hanger to be hung in a door frame, which I would think is one of the most-frequent places one would put a hanger like this. There must be some reason for the odd design but I have not figure out what is. Aside from that the hanger works great and can hang a wetsuit, a BCD or any other gear you might have that is heavy. I have not tried the "all of the above" test case yet but I am sure it can do it.

Heavy duty hangers

As with other reviews the top opening is a little small but it is part what makes it so sturdy. I actually hang my gear in my garage so I'm not using a traditional closet bar. If you can devise a system to hang your suit with this hanger not using a standard hanger bar found in most homes you will be happy with your purchase.

Awesome hanger

This hanger is perfect for your BCD and regulator. It is designed to have your first stage regulator actually clamped to hangar and your second stage and Octo hanging in place securely. I bought 2 of the blue travel hangers with this and I wish I would have bought 2 of these and only one of those.

Awesome hanger... Built like a tank!

Awesome. It even has a yoke/din slots for your regulator. One negative: The U turn on the head of the hanger curves too much in, so the opening is quite small. You'll have trouble hanging this if the hanging bar has low clearance.

A must have for any diver

Great hangar for the wetsuit and all hoses. The opening to the hook is a bit tight so you may need to heat it to open it for a normal closet rod.
