Compact little roller that targets the hard to reach parts of your back
I enjoy using this compact foam roller to hit areas that I'm not able to reach otherwise with my massage gun to work out the knots or tender spots from a recent workout. I only wish the middle portion of the foam roller comes out as a separate extra roller like I've seen in similar products, but alas it's stuck in place.

It releases my back pain instantly
This foam roller comes in firm densities, and it is able to provide a deeper massage. I like its textured surface which provides a deeper massage and is better for targeting specific trigger points. This roller is made of EVA foam, which is supposed to be very durable. Its size is good for me to lay on it and slowly roll on my back, I can feel instant relief on my middle and lower back after using it. I'll keep exploring this roller and I believe it will bring more benefits to other areas of my body.

Good for getting ready to work out
The core is very soft (it picked up marks from my hands), covered in a sheet of harder material. The close bars feel really good on my abductors and IT bands while the other portion feels nice on my butt and thighs. This also does great on my triceps and forearms. Past that, I find that an untextured roller works better on my back, whereas this one seems to get stuck while rolling. I'm a bit heavier than average, so my experience may be different from yours. I'm hoping that the outer material holds up as time goes on due to the flex in the inner material.

Big relief to my back
Before ordering this roller we were using an 18 inch foam roller and while it did an okay job at getting most of our back stretched and popped it didn't quite finish the job. I always felt like I had a spot between shoulder blades on my back that I could never get to release and I could feel it and it drove me nuts. So much so, I would have to have my husband try to pop my back on the ground to get that area to release. I came across this roller and saw that it was made of a firmer foam and saw that it was more compact than our old roller. My husband who is 6'1 found that it was too small for his liking but he did like the firmness. I'm 5'2 and found that it was perfect for me. This roller released so many 'pops' in between my shoulders(my problem area) that I found myself sore the next day( in a good way), because of how much pressure and relief I felt. If you are looking for a very firm roller to help with trouble areas, this is definitely the roller to help with those trouble spots.

Extremely firm. Excellent at manipulate against sore spots other rollers miss.
I already own several rollers, one of which I thought was about as firm as foam rollers could get. This roller proofed even firmer. This roller is actually two layers, a somewhat softer inner layer of some undefined foam substance and a very firm ridged, Polypropylene outer layer. Over time, as I’ve experimented with different rollers, I’ve developed a preference for shorter rollers as their easier to target particular tight or sore regions than longer rollers. At 13” this roller is the perfect length for me. For some time now I’ve had recurring issues with a groin injury that none of the rollers I already owned seemed to be able to address. I was pleasantly surprised then when I was testing this roller against my back it revealed a sore spot I had not been previously aware off. I manipulated the roller to put more pressure on the spot and worked it for a while until the ache seemed to lessen. When I was done I was surprised that the groin ache in my thigh was gone as well. I’m very glad to be able to add this roller to my recovery and anti-aches and pains arsenal.

Quality Foam Roller from Hydrow
This 13 inch foam roller is nice, and felt great on my back which has a few sore spots. Very easy to use. Note it doesn't come with a storage bag. I own a Hydrow and it's great to use this foam roller during some of the cool down videos and will be helpful going forward. Side note - I just love my Hydrow rower, see you on the water!
