Did not grip food to hold in place
I was looking for was a gadget to hold food in place while I grated the food instead of my finger. This hand guard did not hold carrots or cheese until they were so small and then it was still difficult to keep the food attached to the hand guard. Did not work for me, will try to return.

Love my new Rosle Coarse Grater that is VERY sharp. The Food Grip/Hand Guard is almost a necessity. It works very smoothly with the grater.

Doesn't work
I had high hopes for this little guy. The concept is great, however, using it on a grater, you get shredded pieces of plastic in your food. Had to throw it out.

Useless piece of plastic
I bought this thinking it was flexible and would enable me to use my mandoline without slicing my fingers. It is hard and inflexible and the tiny prongs do not in any way hold or whatever vegetable I am trying to slice. Completely useless, don't bother to buy this. Others have recommended the kitchen gloves perhaps that is the way to go.

Does not work for Oxo V mandoline
Total waste of money because this does not hold the food at all when using the Oxo V mandoline. Very disappointing. The grippers are too tiny to hold anything securely.

Waste of money
I bought this item to grate cheese. The gripping teeth are so small they do not hold onto the cheese and it keeps falling off.

Im wahrsten Sinn: Finger weg!
Dieser Restehalter ist übertrieben teuer für ein Stückchen Plastik. Er ist unergonomisch, liegt nicht gut in der Hand. Das arbeiten damit gestaltet sich schwierig und umständlich. Bei meinem Hobel zu klein um die Schneidefläche ab zu decken und daher gefährlich. Die lächerlichen winzigen und runden Plastik-Zähnchen (Noppen) halten kein! Schneidegut wirklich fest und sicher, alles fällt ständig ab und es entstehen zu große Reste. Keine Ahnung, was sich die Firma Rösle bei diesem unbrauchbaren Produkt gedacht hat und woher die guten Bewertungen kommen.... Ich bin restlos enttäuscht, leider wieder mal unnötigerweise Plastikmüll erzeugt. Absolut keine Kaufempfehlung für dieses nicht durchdachte Produkt.

Restehalter nicht zu gebrauchen
Wir essen viel Rohkost und damit ich mich an meiner scharfen Reibe nicht verletze, wollte ich einen Restehalter haben. Dieser hier sieht zwar gut aus, ist aber für den gewünschten Zweck nicht zu gebrauchen. Die winzigen Halte-Noppen,die doch den Obst-und Gemüserest halten sollen, sind so kümmerlich, dass sie den Obst oder Gemüserest erst garnicht aufnehmen. Diese Reste rutschen einfach ab. Geht darum zurück und ich suche mir ein anderes Teil für den gewünschten Zweck aus.! A.T.

Kleine Plastikteilchen landen im Essen
Der Restehalter ist in meinen Augen eine glatte Fehlkonstruktion: So einen Halter nutzt man ja beim Hobeln oder Reiben für die Endstücke von Obst und Gemüse, um die Hände zu schützen. Allerdings stehen die schwarzen Plastiknoppen einerseits nicht weit genug heraus, um die Früchte sicher zu halten und andererseits stehen sie so weit heraus, dass sie mit abgehobelt werden, wenn man versehentlich zu lange hobelt. Auf dem Foto sieht man die kleinen schwarze Plastikteilchen, die beim Apfelreiben direkt im Essen gelandet sind. Wer gerne Plastik isst, für den ist dieser Restehalter genau das Richtige. Ich schicke ihn aber lieber zurück.
