Feels solid and does a good job of grating a large block of cheese
I have only used the 4-sided graters previously - 3 sides that I never used and the grater, which was harder to clean the inside of. This grater is much easier to clean, I just use the dish scrubber on one side and then the other and it is done. This grates a good amount of cheese pretty quickly, the results are exactly what I was after. I live in an RV and this takes up very little room, a big advantage over those 4-sided graters. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

very sturdy, but not sharp
was impressed by how sturdy it was. but severely disappointed on the sharpness. I grate a lot of cheese and this was slow and hard pressure. I ended up returning the grater. Make it sharp and it would be great!

Simple to use.
Only down side is I can't figure out where the battery compartment is nor find the on off switch. Other than that, a topp of the line quality commerical grade grater. Could easily become one of those hand=me down in a will--grandma's gater.

Super heavy duty and perfect size for hash browns
Super heavy duty and perfect size for hash browns. Makes quick work of cheese, spuds, anything you need to grate. I use it to shred onions for my Indian, Saudi, and Moroccan cooking. I love this tool! Feels like it will never wear out. Here's a tip for perfect hash browns .... parboil a couple of big ol whole russet potatoes the night before. Boil them in their skins for two minutes. Drain and leave em be till morning. In the morning, peel them, grate em up, and cook em on a heavy duty skillet medium heat, table spoon of oil and a table spoon of butter. Sprinkle in the shreds so they are packed down tight. Season with salt and pepper. Let em stay on the heat a good while to develop a crispy golden crust. Don't be tempted to stir at em or poke em ... just leave them be until they have a good crust. Invert onto a plate, add more butter and oil to your skillet, and slide your hash browns back in gently. Let that side brown up a bit and you're good to go. Parboiling em cuts down on the gumminess, sets the color so they don't turn grey, and makes a fluffier hash brown with a nice golden crust.

Heavy-duty hash browns
This grater is heavy. It seems to be made entirely of stainless steel so no evidence of rust after several washings. Other stainless graters sold at Amazon have reviews telling of rusting of the supporting frame that’s crimped in the thin stainless outer shell. It’s especially easy to wash. The grater teeth aren’t razor-sharp but plenty sharp for potatoes and barking finger knuckles. The dear old wood chopping board is mostly retired. It works especially well for grating and dicing because it can be picked up and curved a little to transfer food to skillet, etc. Mine were bought elsewhere but look identical to those at the Amazon link.

Awesome product
Sturdy and shreds much easier and better than the square one. I always hated using the old fashioned square one because trying to wash it was a nightmare! This washes up completely and super easily. Old one went in the trash after using this one the first time. Great product..

Fantasic grater
I purchased this because I've been making a lot of hash browns lately. I had been using a box grater up until this point, but it was a small box grater and cleanup was a bit of a pain. This grater makes very quick work of large russets and it is very easy to clean up. The grated potatoes come out much more coarsely grated than my previous grater because the cutting edges are raised higher than the other grater. As a result, much less water is released from the potatoes and I don't have to strain the potatoes before putting them in the pan (if I failed to strain the more finely grated and mushy potatoes from my previous strainer, I would end up with the potatoes nicely browned on the outside, but gooey and starchy in the center). The grater has a very wide grating surface and this thing feels very sturdy. It should stand up to years of heavy use.

Very good grater
very simple bet very effective too Take little storage space. I saw one for fine grating few year back but cannot find it anymore. I would have bought 2 if i had found it for sale again

Great Grater
I really like this during pizza night when it would seem you need to grate an obscene amount of cheese. I would say its only drawback is you can't "hook" it in any way to the top of a bowl. Otherwise it was great and like all my Cuisipro products quality was excellent
