A bit fragile

These are a great concept and fun on the light table, however I expected them to be a little sturdier given they are for kids. The sphere cracked the first day we used these.

Great for helping students see true 3-d shapes. They are small and easy for students to handle

You can see through them

They're a little bit fragile, but what I like the most - you can see through them (it great for geometry). There was a mark on them, Preposition 65 CA if it matters for you.

Some shapes arrived broken

Some shapes arrived broken and then the sphere came apart as soon as the kids started handling them. I would return them but I need to continue with our lesson plans so I'll just have to super glue them or something.

Shapes are asymetrical and measurements aren't precise

I'm an artist and bought these to practice drawing 3D shapes in different orientations. They are ideal for that purpose. I love the colors and that I can see through them. The plastic seems durable and they are stable on flat surfaces. I recognize these are for kids but if I cared more about precision, I would send them back. A handful of the shapes such as the large cube, pentagonal prism, and triangular prism taper slightly by a few millimeters from end to end. The cube is just barely noticeable, but I noticed the prism's tapering when I removed it from the box and I had to measure to be sure. This is more of a visual problem when you stack certain shapes, because one end will be flush with another shape, while the other end will not be, such that the edges stick out. Additionally, the stated measurements are rounded up because several of the shapes are slightly smaller than they are supposed to be. Other shapes are just fine. I got them for a deal so I don't mind these flaws. My use doesn't require precision and they are light and colorful, so I'm keeping them. If you care more than I do, be aware that the manufacturing is inconsistent.

Came with storage box very damaged

I like the geometric shapes a lot , kids really like them and we use in our homeschool. They are pretty durable just the small circle to keep volume in could be lost easily. The items come in a nice durable box that would be great storage but the box arrived totally damaged so that was disappointing but didn’t want to return them. All in all it’s a good product and kids are enjoying and learning they love filling them with water.

Wonderful, but a little fragile

We LOVE Learning Resources and all the toys we've gotten from them. This toy is no different, however the small clear pieces are incredibly easy to loose and the full circle ball cracked by day two and we had to throw it out sadly. Would still recommend, but just be cautious. It's something for 'gentle hands'.

Incredibly useful resource for shapes and helping junior maths

Quite handy as is contains a number of common shapes so useful in explaining vertices to young minds in a simpler explorative manner

Fantastic resource

These have been a fantastic tool for my two children for the past two years. It's one thing trying to explain 3D shapes on paper, but to actually hold them in your hands and see them physically is another. They're colourful and quite robust, and have lasted all this time. I'd highly recommend them for homelearning!
