My granddaughter has enjoyed playing with this toy.
Seems very durable. My granddaughter likes toys that build structures like Legos. This toy has kept her entertained in that it teaches you how to build a structure and also adds the mechanics of gears & how they make things move.

Good learning toy, bright and fun!
Got this for my 7 year old niece for her birthday after I noticed how much she enjoyed playing with the magnetic gears set my kids have attached to the front of my refrigerator. She really likes it, as do her younger brother and both of my girls all between the ages of 5-7. We all played with it building different designs for over an hour, and my sister in law tells me she is still playing with it a month later, so that's good news. Pros: - Educational (helps develop engineering and design skills, cause and effect, etc) - Bright, attractive colors - Lots of cute little accessories (butterflies, lady bugs, interchangeable flower centers) - the plastic is thick and seems to be durable - there are a good amount of pieces - you don't feel like you have to get another set to have fun with it Cons: - difficult to figure out how to use some of the more complex pieces (instructions are not very user friendly) - difficult to snap some of the pieces together and apart (especially the specialized pieces that snap into the centers of the flowers) - hard to use the hand crank, especially when you have a lot of gears in place, and especially for kids who have weaker hands - wish it came with some sort of storage box or bag, but no biggie - wish they had a motorized accessory to turn the gears, rather than just the hand-crank as this really ads an awe-factor that I have noticed is missing between this toy and the motorized magnetic fridge gears my kids have (though I did not knock off score for this, just a thought I'd mention it in case Learning Resources reads these reviews)

Playtime for hours
I was distraught when I thought I accidentally lost this toy at another kiddos house, so I bought a second one. Found the first at the babysitters house and didn’t have a single regret keeping them both. Epic gardens and playtime. This is a great product and learning toy for any child.

So much fun
Grands loved them. They had so much fun creating and then being able to get them to turn. Grands range from 4 to 6 and all could enjoy.

Favorite Christmas toy!
5 year old grandson was thrilled with this. It was the toy he played with all day on Christmas! I wish the cranking mechanism was more consistent. Some of the pieces come lose when he turns it quickly.

Amazing stem toy for kids!
I'm a mother to 2 girls and I bought these because I read some BuzzFeed study about girls being less technical by the age of 9 (thinking they can't STEM) but it's 2018 so my kids can do whatever they want in life. These are a lot of fun, unless you have a 3 year old, like me. Who throws a fit every time she can't make it work. So just make sure you clear the day to play with your youngins. And if you thought stepping on Legos hurt.... This will really make you teach your kids to pick up. ????

Delightful toy with many hours use forecasted
A lovely toy which we hope our Granddaughter will find not only fun to play with but also one which will develop her potential to solve problems in years to come. My main gripe is with supplier who thought it reasonable to despatch it to us with 3 labels stuck onto the plastic wrap covering the box itself! i and everyone else who handled this item through the delivery chain could have known the exact contents and it is my opinion that the item could have been stolen and sold "as new" by anyone would could have removed the labels! My wife also made the point that should any child have seen what was being delivered to the door would have had an early glimpse of a present! Both a penny pinching and thoughtless supplier !!!!!!!

Fun toy for kids (and big kids too!)
We actually bought this because my husband and I were really excited about it (big kids at heart!), and we were hoping our daughter would be as excited about it as we were. She did not disappoint! She loves watching the gears spin, and she can spin the gears herself too. She's only 1, so she can't assemble it yet and we would not leave her to play with it unattended at that age, but it does keep her interest for a long time just pushing the gears with her fingers. It gives her the opportunity to improve her motor skills and dexterity while learning about cause and effect. I think it's something she'll grown with as well because as she gets older she'll be able to move towards assembling it herself and creating different gear combinations. I like that it allows children to use their imagination and creativity coming up with different combinations.

love it!
Im madly in love with this toy. so is my husband and my girls do get engaged with it when a adult get its out. both my girls (2 and 5) focus heavily on role play so its a challenge to draw them into something more linear, a problem solving type activity. the bright colours and 'girly' theme here works a treat and we've had some great chats about physical forces. i love this engineering toy aimed at girls its got years of use ahead, Its also very sturdy and with a bit of practice my 5 year old can add cogs and flowers.
