Very nice for small grass areas
This machine does a nice job. My yard is 40×60 ft. and not very smooth and even. The smaller wheels in the front get stuck in a hole once in a while, larger wheels would make it easier, It wouldn't be noticed on a smooth yard. Raising it up with the handle is easy enough, so it's a minor complaint. The grass catcher is a good size and easy to dump. I only dumped it after I finished mowing. If I were cutting a large, deep grass, It might need changing more often. I think the size is in proportion to the size, weight, and intent of the mower. Assembly was done in 5 minutes with no tools. The lawn was cut 20 min after Amazon delivered it to my porch. The noise is less than a gas mower, but I wouldn't call it quiet. Like a electric string trimmer. The bar/ON button is a little hard to get used to. I understand the safety issue, but a on/off switch hack might be a project for me. A lightweight extension cord seamed to be enough power and much easier to manipulate than the HD cord I started with. The handle folds easily, and the mower stands up against the wall on two wheels, No gas or oil to leak, Also laying it on one side allows a quick sweeping of the residue. Lightweight quick and easy no gas oil or batteries, It works for me.

Oh yeah buddy
My 7 year old off brand electric mower died a slow death. So after much research I got this Craftsman mower. I didn't realize how much easier life could be. My old mower was ok but seriously underpowered for the crabgrass and weeds that make up my big back yard. This Craftsman is 12 amps. Between the time my old mower died and my new one arrived, it was almost a month and several rainstorms later. This yard normaly gets mowed twice a week so by the time I got the Craftsman the weeds and crabgrass were knee high in some places. I thot about using the Weedeater to knock it down some but hey, what a test of a new mower. Ended up being pleasantly surprised. I could only do about a 4 inch swath each round, I had to empty the bag about every 10 or 12 feet and it did bog down a few times. But we're talking about knee high weeds here. I've had the same results using my nieghbor's expensive hi powered gas mower several years ago. And unbeknownst to me, the grass wasn't as dry as I thot it was. It took 2 days (I had to quit due to the heat) but I got it done. A week later I mowed again and was amazed at how much easier it was than with my old mower. I cut a full 20 inch swath. This one is bigger, more powerful and the grass bag holds a really decent amount of clippings. And it's way easy to put on and take off. My dogs like to pick up sticks and break them into pieces and leave them everywhere. The Craftsman hit these hidden gems and blasted right thru them. I have trumpet vine springing up everywhere. No problem, chewed them up and spit them out. My front yard is small and has mostly Burmuda and Buffalo grass and a million little sticks from the trees. I finished it in less than half the time it used to take. Going from a twelve inch wide cut to a 20 makes a world of difference. And this mower has the power to do it. I've only mowed 3 times with this, so time will tell. Since it is a Craftsman, I can get parts and service if I need it. I can mow one handed if I want to manage the cord with the other. Its lightweight enough to toss in the back of my SUV if need be. (And I'm a 67 year old woman with bad knees) My only complaint is supposedly you can break down the handle and store it under a shelf. Technically this is true, but the reality its it's kind of a pain in the ass to undue the screws. So I probably won't be doing that. It kinda sucks because that was one reason I bought this model, but hey, that's my problem. It is rather loud but not as bad as a gas mower. All in all I'm very happy with it. It was easy to assemble right outta the box. Just be sure to have the proper gauge extention cord (I think mine is a 12 gauge, 50 feet long) and 10 minutes after you open the box, you'll be mowing!!

Great mower for the price
Very lightweight, cuts well even though it's not self propelled. Remember to buy a bright colored electric cord to locate it in the grass easily.

???? Great!
I bought this mower because of the power and the brand itself. I have only used it once up to now. Time will tell money vs quality.

Horrible
I bought this to replace my Greenworks after is stopped working after only 9 months. I thought Craftsman would be a good choice. I was wrong. This thing is made completely of plastic; body, frame, and wheels. Very flimsy. So much so that I thought I would break it just assembling it. Assembly was so so. Not difficult and not particularly easy either. I used it for the first time yesterday. It was more than a chore. When set for a low cut, this thing is almost impossible to push. Set for a higher cut , it’s doable. For some odd reason, the front of the lawnmower won’t stay on the ground. I literally had to basically hold it in way that made the front stay down. I had to lift up on the back while cutting to keep the front down. Add an extension cord to it and the front comes completely off the ground and rests in a backward position. This thing is completely horrible but disassembling and returning would be too much of a hassle. Overall, I would not recommend this at all.

For seniors worried about assembly and weight of the unit
Just finished assembling my new Craftsman lawnmower and it took me only about 45 minutes. My son is an experienced handyman and probably could have done it in ten or less! I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to put the wheels on and was able to roll it out of the delivery crate. The box was badly crumpled on one side which made me a little nervous but there didn't seem to be any damage to the mower inside. It arrived very quickly for the regular free shipping, taking about 48 hours from putting the order in. You don't need to pay extra substantial fees to get faster delivery in all probability. The assembly instructions were relatively clear but most of it was common-sense [25%] assuming you have ever assembled anything and the rest was the politically-correct nonsense mandated by insurance companies for the mechanically-disinclined. I was really pleased to see, that unlike most modern products these days, the instructions were in English that was coherent and easy to read. I now see what some of the reviewers meant about the plastic construction [even the wheels] making it seem 'cheap' compared to the units I had twenty years ago though, to be fair, it certainly doesn't look or feel flimsy like a toy would. It helped that my son is a licensed mechanic and had told me, after I had read a lot of reviews before ordering, that modern industrial plastics are often as durable as cheaper grades of metal. Speaking of light construction; it has a carrying handle and I was able to use that to lift it fairly easily down to the pavement so that was nice for this old fellow. I don't think it weighs much more than about 30 lbs and the carrying handle is actually at a balance point for lifting purposes. Also nice that you can adjust the height of the cut with a lever on the side instead of the old style machines that needed you to turn it upside down and use pliers on nuts and bolts and make sure both sides were plumb. Too early to review it's quality as an actually grass mower but I'm ready to save a little money this year instead of hiring a lawn cutting service as I have done for the last few years. I may update this review after I have used it but wanted to put this in early in case other senior citizens were wondering about weight and assembly issues.

Did the job nicely & Fast delivery right to door!!
Easy to assemble light weight, the handle On top of the mower is a plus for lifting when needed. Changing the cutting height on it wasn’t difficult at all.. cutting through high weeds was a breeze just remember to change the height level to 6. I bought a push manual grass cutter but that wasn’t doing the job! So decided to buy this and I’m so glad I did. “Make sure to buy extension cord you will need it in order to use it.“ “This is a must buy if you’re looking for a corded lawn mower “ Fast delivery too!!

Disappointed - Motor Cuts Out, Other Issues
I bought this to replace a Black & Decker electric corded mower, which lasted 15 years. In order to run this Craftsman I had to buy a new cord, 12 gauge, 3 prong, with 16 amp capacity to use on a 100' yard. The mower itself is lightweight plastic, but when you run the required cord, the weight of a 100' 12 gauge cord is substantial when dragging it across the backyard. This makes the job of using a corded mower much more of a hassle, something I never expected when I bought it. My B&D ran on a much lighter cord without a problem. Then there is the motor. It will run for about 10 minutes then it cuts out. You hear a click which sounds like it is coming from the control mechanism. It will restart immediately but the constant cutting out is an issue and should not be happening, especially given the premium cord I am using. In retrospect, I should have stepped up to a battery powered mower. Cannot recommend this product.

A Great little mower!
The mower was easy to unpack and put together. Easy peasy even for this old lady. My last mower died and my grass was getting really tall by the time I saved up to get this one. No problem with this little dynamo. It's lightweight but cuts great. I'm elderly with arthritis and I can easily use this mower. I've used it several times now and each time was easy for me to cut my grass and weeds. I can't seem to grow flowers but I'm a whizz with weeds! ;) So ladies and gents, I think you will find this one a winner.

Why make a good thing bad?
I purchesed the same mower 10 years ago, it was a great mower. All that was wrong was the base, If they would use a stainless steel base instead of the cheep metal as are still used on most mowers , it would be like new. The new one has a problem with storage. You can't fold away the handle , the front wheels are too small and light, hard to push the mower, even as I cut the grass a week ago with my old Craftsman. The old handle with power connection was fine, why make it bad? This mower is light and I wonder howit works over time.
