Fantastic sturdy Ramp
This is one fantastic ramp, my puppy trusts it, sounds odd, but she would not use one that was purchased prior to this one.

it does the job
we got this for our dog who had surgery after being hit by a car, it was a little awkward to unfold and refold when there was only one person, better with 2 so one could hold the dog and the other could set up / take down the ramp. it would help if it had handles on the sides works well on snowy and icy surfaces . (didn't slip)

Solid product but my dog wouldn't use it
I bought this ramp to help my 60 pound lab/shepherd mix get in and out of the car, as well as an alternative to going up and down our back steps, after she tore her ACL. The ramp appears solidly made. I am not a very in-shape 5'7" female and I had no problem lifting it. I purchased the bi-fold ramp which folds easily and has a green non-slip surface. It grips well and does not feel like sandpaper, which I liked. For the price, I was pleased with the quality of the ramp. The bad news was, I could not get Samantha on it. I tried every coaxing method, had my husband help, even walked up and down it myself to show her it was safe, and she still wasn't interested. I tried adjusting the angle of the ramp, but nothing worked. I think the main problem is, with her torn ligament, she gains stability by widening her back legs, and the ramp just wasn't wide enough for her to feel comfortable. I think if you advertise a pet ramp to hold up to 150-200 pounds, it should be made wide enough for an injured or older larger animal to safely navigate up and down. My dad's 10 pound chihuahua mix loved it and was racing up and down it having a ball, but then again she is a puppy and healthy. I give the ramp 4 stars for being fairly well-made for the price, and I got a full refund upon my (postage-paid) return very quickly which was great. I would have preferred if it was wider; I think that would have helped with my dog's situation a lot.

Not perfect but workable for side rear door of SUV for dog under 50 lbs
The media could not be loaded. This ramp is for my 47 lb German short-haired pointer mix who is nearly 12 yrs young. She has some weakness in her back legs and was struggling a little to jump in the car and had rough landings when jumping out. So I had doubts this ramp would work since I noticed the side door of my 2004 Toyota 4Runner doesn't open wide enough for the ramp to be perpendicular to the side of the car. So I had to place the top of the ramp on top of the seat otherwise the edge of the door covered part of the ramp. The first few attempts didn't look too promising because her back legs would slide sideways off the ramp because she has a wide stance of her rear legs. But after about 10 treats she seems to be making this work! I have to hold the ramp to make sure she doesn't fall off the sides and the ramp is bouncy. I was surprised how heavy the ramp was though. But I think in the long run this will work and save her joints and my back as she gets older.

Fake Grass Non-Slip Surface is a Must
I needed a sturdy ramp for my 55 lb German Shepherd/Retriever mix because her rear legs are becoming unstable and I don't want her jumping up to or down from my Toyota Highlander SUV any more. This does the trick. The fake grass non-slip surface is a must for a dog of this weight and few of the other ramps that I could find have this. It folds well enough and is reasonably light weight. Not exactly what I'd call compact, but it is a ramp after all. Would be improved with a slightly better handle configuration, but this is relatively minor. Also, the ramp does flex with the weight of my dog. She can manage it but heavier, more rambunctious dogs might find it disconcerting.

Perfect ramp
Our Bouvier is 13 and doesn't have the agility and also has some trouble with distance so trying to get her into my truck and or the car has become very difficult. I'm 77 and have had some major back issues so can't lift her as I usually would do. My husband researched ramp and we decided to give the Pet Gear Travel light a try. Sage goes everywhere with me and of course I love my F150 1998 truck so with her issues of late taking the truck was out of the question. Well, when we received the ramp very surprised. Love the green turf on the ramp for her not to slid when wet out, folds up easy latches and I can lift very easily. My husband put a strip of Velcro on the top so I can carry instead of lifting Fits in the back or right in the front of either car or truck. Very sturdy, good width could have gone a little longer but we made it work and she went up it the first time and has been doing it daily. We have to place it on the lower rail of the truck which works just fine, the car I have to have her enter from the front door. Won't fit on the passenger doors don't open wide enough. Of course it's perfect for back entry on the SUV. . . We are also using it for her to enter our RV, she had trouble going up the steps. Storing in the RV it fits perfect by the side door where we enter the RV! Highly recommend if you need one try this one out. . Oh, forgot my husband put rubber stoppers on the bottom so when you have pavement the ramp will not slip stays in place. Thank you PET GEAR. Jud Herrity

Life’s just easier...
When you’re not hoisting a 65lbs hairy pooch into a vehicle! This review is heavily based on use in a mid-sized SUV. I didn’t know the rear side doors in my car barely opened until I was trying to jam this ramp into place. On the floorboard, up on the seat; 16in was just too much to ask. Now I know. If I steady it (all the way up on the seat) and guide her closely with the leash, it gets her up there fine. The ramp won’t fall/slip; the rubber grips are decent and I even added extra. The grip on the ramp itself is also really effective. Give yourself plenty of space next to your doors; carports and parking lots with other cars especially. It also works great getting the pup into the tub. It’s a bit of a pain to lug and get into place, but when you come to terms with the changes “old dog life” has in store, it’s all worth it. Despite my car, good purchase.
