Looks great, no leaks came fully assembled
It arrived in a beat up box, but no damage fully assembled, took a few minutes to adjust the float height. Not sure where all the poor instructions or leak reviews are from , did they get a different product. Only downside was the instructions were useless since I didn’t need them.

Lasts about a year.
The pool filler worked well for a season. I took it apart and cleaned it 3 times after it stopped working, and it would last about a week each time. I will probably just buy another one, but I may look at the brands for longevity. I live in an area with very good water quality, so there was not much in the way of scale or water deposits. I'm not sure if some kind of natural lubricant would help, but hesitate to put anything in the pool on the float mechanism.

Keeping pool water at level
Was difficult to seal hose end like other reviews have said, but one I used alot of teflon tape on the hose, didnt leak a drop. Been working good all summer, so far.

I have owned several different brands of pool fillers over the last 20 years.
This one is the best. It is a lot smaller, yet works like a charm. Inside is an extension tube to connect to a garden hose. I did not use it. I bought a Shark fitting that connects to 1/4 inch copper tubing and ran that across the pool deck in an expansion joint in the concrete deck. I drilled a couple of holes in the base and screwed the unit down. Super neat installation.

It work very well. The only reason for taking one star away is that the assembly instructions are vague. It took me several tries before everything lined up.

Not so great
It leaks at the hose attachment. It works somewhat. Its very fragile.

Flimsy plastic product that never worked
If I pulled it out of the pool, the water would turn on. But put it back in the water and a few minutes later the water would turn off, despite the fact that the water line was about a half inch below the fill line. Tried increasing that setting by another half inch so the water line was an inch below the fill line, didn't matter. Also, its so light weight it was challenging to keep it in place without putting something on it to add weight.
