OEM Direct Replacement for SP1068 Brushes

10/2021 Update: No signs of unusual bristle loss/wear after a full season of use. OEM Hayward brush replacements. Worked perfectly on a 20yr old SP1068 vacuum head. Only thing that has changed is the brush color is now blue instead of clear. As for durability I'm not witnessing any of the issues yet that other reviewers are reporting. Used numerous times at season opening to clean the pool and the brushes still look great.

glad they are available

After many years, the old brushes wore out. I liked the brand, but didn't want to pay $50+ for a new vac head. Glad the brushes are available.

Easy to install!

Fairly easy to install. Just unscrew the locking ring on the vacuum head, separate top and bottom head pieces, slide out old brushes (pliers help), and slide in new brushes.

Replacement brushes

Worked like a charm. The hardest part was getting the old, rusted brushes out, but once that was accomplished, getting these in was a snap. What a difference, new brushes makes... The suction is much better and the vacuum is not getting stuck to the bottom any longer. Much improved.

Worked Perfectly - But - read the instructions and do it their way!

The replacement brushes worked perfectly. But, I will say that you have to read the instructions. It looks like you could just slide out the old ones and slide in the new ones but you need to separate the top and the bottom of the head and then they slip right in. I always read instructions so once I saw that the old brushes didn't slip right out I read the correct procedure. If you don't follow the instructions you are in for a hard time. As far as how long they last, we will see what happens. I saved the package and will deal directly with Hayward if the bristles show signs of early failure. I prefer Hayward products whenever possible. I first bought a replacement vacuum head from another pool name and it was awful.

fit is perfect ,

exact part for the Super Vac SP1068 vacuum head , i will update as time goes for durability ,only used for 5 months a year here in Montreal.

Fit is good.

The brushes fit perfectly and tight, did not expect them to be blue but still look nice in head. Will have to wait and see how long they last, seem of good quality though.
