I bought this set when it was on sale for $16. It is a really, really attractive unit. Seems to be well made. The only thing was that it was way too tall for my puppy (Rottie). When I bought it, I knew that it would be big, but I was thinking that he'd still be able to use it right away - my bad. I was able to sell it to a friend for her two Golden Retrievers and she loves it. Her Goldies drink lots of water during the summer and with these, she doesn't have to worry that they will tip the bowls over and spill all of their water or drink it all while she's at work. In the meantime I bought a single diner stand for water and a non-tip bowl for his food. Both of those are Platinum Pets and I am very, very happy with both. So even though this product didn't work for me, I did buy another product from the company that I am happy with. Platinum Pets seems to make a great product

Lovely Small Pet Bowls

Very nice little pet bowl set. The finish seems like it will last for awhile without corrosion and wear. The only reason I took off a star is really my own fault for not reading how small it actually was. I thought since my little dog was smaller than any cat I know and certainly equal to or smaller than most puppies that it would be a good fit. It is very small. It is also possible that I overfeed my dog?

Wrong color and poor quality control

Ordered this "White" Diner Stand because our dog is getting old (11 years) and won't eat from the floor. Our laundry room/his feeding room has a white and yellow color scheme, thus the white diner stand was ordered. White is the key word here because the first delivery was a black diner stand with white bowls and two missing protective leg caps. Item was returned and requested to be correctly replaced. Two days later the second delivery was again a black diner stand/white bowls with one missing leg cap. Item was returned and again requested to be correctly replaced. Note that for each instance I called Amazon and went over verbally the color/cap problem. So another two days has passed and we just took delivery for (you guessed it) another black diner stand with white bowls, but at least all of the legs had the protective caps (bravo). I haven't decided if another replacement request should be made or if I should just spray paint the stand white. Needless to say I'm very frustrated with the extremely poor quality control that was been rendered. Aside from the color/cap problem, the stand appears to be well made.

2.5 years in...

I really like these bowls. I have a Bernese Mountain Dog (~110 pounds) who is an 'energetic' eater. This stand works great and doesn't tip at all. The bowls do bang around a little bit in the stand, but as another reviewer did, if you put black tape around the edges, it makes them quiet. The only gripe I have is that after 2.5 years, the powder coating is peeling. I'm not sure where to find replacement bowls and have emailed the company because they don't seem to be available on Amazon.com.

Very classy, compact and easy to keep clean

We bought this dog feeder to replace the big clunky plastic one we had had for years. Although the plastic one had stainless steel bowls in it, the plastic stand portion was constantly dirty and in need of cleaning. The Platinum Pets Diner is 11 1/2" high (half inch taller than the plastic one it replaced). The bowls are delightful with embossed paw prints in the bottom and around the rim (and are the same size as the old feeder's bowls). With the wonderful design of the base, it is easy to pick up dropped dog food and there is nothing that can catch and trap dirt when our dog is eating. It also takes up a fraction of the space that the old feeder did. It is a VERY elegant looking feeder, not an eyesore in the family room like the last feeder.

I love these bowls for my two mastiff mixes

I love these bowls for my two mastiff mixes. They are very attractive, and seem durable. The only thing is that my larger boy (120 lbs), although the 8-cup height is great, the bowls were too small in diameter for his fat head! The next size up is a 12-cup set, and the bowls are just the right size, but the stand is a bit too tall for him and he has to stretch a little to eat and drink. A size in between (10-cup?) would have been perfect for him to not have to stretch, but I didn't see that size available. The 8-cup size (bowls and height) is absolutely perfect for my smaller, 80 lb. female. I would like to know if this company makes an in between size.

Perfect cat dish

I have read that a raised dish is good for dogs and aids in their digestion, and I suppose it's good for cats too. I got it because I am a wheelchair user and had a hard time reaching the dish on the floor. The rack gives just enough height to allow easy reach. My kitten has no trouble eating out of it even when she was small. I got one with a shiney surface in a stunning teal shade. The finish washes easily. (It also comes in a powder finish.) They hold about a cup of food or water, which is fine for a cat. The best part is the frame keeps spills from happening even when she is playing and knocks into it. A great piece and very well made.

Great product but finish doesn’t last long

I loved this product so much and so did my cat, but after a year, the coating on the dish used for her wet food started to chip off. When I searched for a replacement bowl online, one bowl costs almost as much as a new double diner! That is absurd and really disappointing. Now I will invest in something where I can just use regular bowls or stick to ceramic. I no longer recommend this product. It looks adorable and it’s space saving design goes well in small spaces but ultimately, it does not last long enough and it is far too costly to have to constantly buy a new bowl every year at $25 each.

Outstanding set

One of the rubber feet was missing from my order. But I purchased a pack of replacements online and so now I have a bunch of backups just in case. Purchased for cats that are fed wet food 3x a day. The size was perfect for our needs and the bowls clean up very easily with just a simple wipe down. One annoyance was that the bowls made a considerable amount of noise while the cats are eating, with the banging on the metal. I purchased some silicone tubing (food safe) and cut it to length with a slit down the side to slide it over the four sections that touch the metal bowls. Now the bowls are near silent, and they also stay in place just a bit better.

Happy purchase

Really like the size of the bowls and the height of the stand. I have two different breeds of dogs and it works well for both. The stand is simple and easy to clean - not too many edges to collect dust and food. I love the green colour of the bowls. The bowls also have a raised paw print design around the bowl. (The colour does scratch off it chewed - it is more of a coloured coating.) My only issue was the the stand arrived with only three of the black plastic "feet". The edge of the metal would eventually scratch the floor surface and it also puts the stand uneven/wobbly. Amazon did offer a couple dollar credit rather than shipping the item back. I am good with that.

Excellent quality. Fast service.

Love this! VERY sturdy & well made! Received it super quick. Was pleasantly surprized when I opened the box. Didn't expect such a great product for the price I paid! I bought it for work because I take my dog to work with me, and it's perfect! The stand is like wrought iron with a plastic/rubber coating, the bowls are stainless steal, the perfect size for any medium-large dog, and the colour is awesome! I wanted to keep it for my house & take the one I had at home to work with me. Highly recommend this!

Great quality, really nice looking

I wanted some nice looking raised pet dishes. These dishes looked like they'd fit the bill, and they sure do! They're a great quality: the metal frame is painted white and has rubber "feet" so it won't mark up your floors. The dishes are shiny and solid - they're so easy to clean and are a lot better than plastic dishes that can get scraped up and start harbouring bacteria. They're very reasonably priced too so all in all, I'm very pleased with this purchase!
