Works As Stated
I actually didn't buy these for what they were intended. But they worked perfect for what I needed. They are sturdy. They are easy to remove from the ground. I have never had one to break even in cold temperatures. The color makes it easy to locate in the yard if you happen to leave them out. I would buy them again if I needed more. ( I use them to prop up litter pans with sand ( which is always damp from the big box stores ) and my cats told me NOT to put damp sand in their litter boxes. )

Make sure you order the size you need...these are great backpacking 6" ten pegs,
These 6" tent pegs are perfect for my needs for use with a backpack tent and staking / tying down an umbrella over my beach chair. See review of "Rio Beach Total Sun Block My Shade Clamp-On Umbrella" or " Rio Brands UB57-TS Clamp Sun Block Umbrella". I cannot embed link to these reviews. These tent pegs are light weight and when staked properly the basic three faceted design should accommodate stake down needs. There are a few nuances on how to properly stake down and remove. Please see the attached illustration and pics of how to use pegs. 1) If you need to pound the peg into the ground and do not have a peg hammer find a relatively flat piece of wood and use that as a buffer between striking the head of the peg with a small branch, rock, etc. You don’t want to break the hook of a peg. 2) If you will be staking your tent, etc. in sand, snow or gravel you may have to rig up a hold down (small branch or log and have your tie down secured to that and then placed underground. 3) Removing pegs can be done by simply looping a piece of cord around the hook of peg and pull at same angle at which it was secure into the ground. If you need to, rock the peg back and forth and then lift. If you need more leverage wrap free end of cord around a small branch or similar and then use as a handle to pull peg out.

Clearly visible stakes.
I have used these tent stakes extensively enough to arrive at my opinion that these are a great value and works really well in most situations except a few. For 90% of family camping grounds these work very well for us - they go deep, hold ground, and when it is time for removal it is easy to do so. They are also very visible and thus safer due to being a bright yellow instead of the typical metals such as aluminum or steel that is hard to see and thus occasionally one can trip over it. And finally, while these are not as light as the high tech aluminum stakes, they are much lighter than the classic steel ones in similar sizes. Now, there are a few situations where this under-performs the metallic cousins. Something worth mentioning is if your ground is very hard and dry, then this is likely to snap or bend when trying to stake it in (and it has happened to me). In such situations, metal clearly wins. Therefore, I take both types of stakes in my trips just in case.

These worked great for holding down my large inflatable decorations.
These tent stakes were used to help hold down my inflatable Christmas decorations. I live in a very windy area and my decorations usually get knocked over. These tent stakes were easy to pound in and held very securely.

Great to have for difficult conditions
These work much better than the regular metal stakes that come with tents and tarps. We got to see how well they work while camping at the beach in pelting rain and wind. We had a tarp up over the picnic table and the metal stakes kept pulling out of the sandy soil. I remembered we had these in the camping box and we swapped them out. No more problem. We were able to sit under the shelter and wait the storm out while enjoying good food and beverages, and had a good time. Without these, the trip would have been most unpleasant.

Work well! Though one got bent a bit...
We used these to hold down theColeman Road Trip Beach Shade . They worked well! Much better than the pegs that the thing came with. When driven all the way into the sand they stayed put. HOWEVER, they do not fit through the peg holes on the Beach Shade, so we used some short bits of rope to fashion an "adapter loop", which did the trick. After 4 consecutive days of setup/teardown, I think one of them got bent out of shape a bit, but was still perfectly useable.

Inexpensive stakes for electronic dog fences
These are incredible for installing an electronic dog fence without the hassle of burying the wire. Sounds crazy... just give it a try. Stake the fence line down enough that the lawn mower can't vacuum up the wire and let it sit. in two weeks you will have difficulty finding the wire, in 1 month the wire is completely buried. In 3 months you won't be able to find it without serious digging. The stakes hold the wire closely to the ground and Mother Nature takes care of the work. The trick is finding inexpensive stakes and these are perfect. I have used this method for large (5 acres) and smaller postage stamp lots... it works every time.

Bought as a backup for our camping tents
Slip in the bag and forget - when you need them there always there. Good plastic for hard gravel, better than the small metal ones.

Voll zufrieden
