Beautiful feeder!
This is the second Perky Pet bird feeder I have gotten from Amazon. I absolutely love the sturdy metal and glass construction of this feeder! It features a gorgeous peach-colored glass bottle with a wide mouth for easy filling of bird nectar and holds up to 16 oz of nectar. The base is burnished bronze color featuring four flower feeding stations with a perch that goes all the way around the unit. It hangs easily on a hook on our deck. Over the spring and summer months, this feeder has ended up being the favorite of both orioles and hummingbirds. In July and August, the hummingbirds were emptying this feeder every 24 hours! They love it! Just a few notes that might be helpful: When you fill this unit do it over a sink. Wait to turn it over for feeding until you get to where it's going to be. This feeder does tend to leak out when you first do this . I filled up ours nearly full and lost about 2 oz. of nectar. If it gets on you, it's going to be sticky. Also, it may attract ants, wasps, and other pests, so if you have spilled the nectar on your deck or porch, you will want to hose it off. or use some warm water and a scrub brush and get it off. You may want to consider putting a little bit of organic extra virgin coconut oil around the screw on the area of the glass. Once it got stuck to its base in early summer and it was a bit of a challenge to get it back off again. Since I did just a tiny bit of the coconut oil around that area and it hasn't stuck since. As for the nectar you fill it with, of course, Perky-Pet would like you to buy their premixed nectar for birds. That's alright if you want to do that. However, I have found our birds really aren't too crazy about it and it tends to be a little pricey if you are filling the feeders as often as we do. There is a far less expensive option that is easy to do - and you will have the added benefit that you won't be risking the health fo birds with the dyes that are often added to commercially available nectars. Here is the nectar recipe that we use for ours for Oriole season. 3 cups of water 1/2 cup of sugar Bring to a boil for two minutes, allow to cool to room temperature. If you want, you can add 1/4 tsp orange blossom water to the mix. Orioles and hummingbirds are really partial to it. Later in the season when the hummingbirds arrive you can use this same feeder for them by simply adjusting the mix of the nectar 4 cups of water 1 cup of sugar Bring to a boil for two minutes, let cool to room temperature, then add the 1/4 tsp of orange blossom water. You can refrigerate the extra in the refrigerator for about a week. In summer months, you are going to be refilling this every couple of days. We have reached a point in the season where I will make a gallon of nectar every week to fill our feeders. The nice part is that iIt's fast, easy, inexpensive and there are no chemical dyes and additives to harm the birds. (BTW, the honey bees have been going for it, too!)

Wonderful for hummingbirds, but Orioles aren’t so certain
This feeder looks great and seems well built. I have not had any issues with leaking like some reviews state. There is a ring of rubber/foam that helps the edges seal. My hummingbirds really love this feeder, but my Orioles didn’t seem so sure. I saw them land on it several times but they didn’t seem to know how to use it. Not sure if the holes are too small for them (Bullock’s Orioles in my area). They were in the process of leaving my area for the year when this arrived so I didn’t get a chance to see if they can figure it out. I was hoping to replace both of my current Oriole feeders, but I will have to wait for next year to see if it’s really a viable alternative. I will keep it as a hummingbird feeder even if the Orioles don’t love it.

Bee feeder
So this gets to hot in the sun for the birds to perch on, and worse bee's literally go through the big feeding holes and up into the jar.. ugh

It’s beautiful and hummingbirds love it
Such a pretty birdfeeder and the hummingbirds love it! The only negative is the glass is an actually orange it’s some kind of coding so you need to be careful when you wash it. The orange is wearing off where it screws into the feeder base.

Disappointed
I loved this feeder the first time I used it. Took it down to clean and refill. Came apart easily. Next cleaning and I CANNOT get it apart. The base spins from the jar and doesn’t come off. It’s like it isn’t threaded but it’s so tight that I can’t do anything about it. ???? I tried to remove the nut on the base and it too just spins. Amazon’s link for product help takes me to Black and Decker, and the perky pet website does not show this specific feeder.

Awesome bird feeder! While it lasted
The hummingbirds love this feeder! The color hasn’t faded yet like other brands. Update after 4 months use: went to wash & refill this morning and it broke in half.

Leaks
Beautiful looking feeder, but it leaks as the bottom section does not close tightly when you screw the orange glass onto the bottom. Poor design and wish I could return. Purchased in March and only put out for the Birds in May, not happy with this purchase.

Birds love it
Our hummingbirds love it! Seeing we have hummingbirds here all winter we just ordered a second one. Our tip.....if you have some in your area all winter, get a all glass/metal feeder like this one. Should you forget to take it in when it freezes over night a plastic unit will crack while this one won't!

Don’t buy it , ORIOLES DO NOT LIKE IT,
I bought this feeder for my husband for Christmas as we were blessed to have many Orioles in our yard. Couldn’t wait to put it out in Spring. The Orioles came but did not use the feeder, they didn’t seem to be able to get the syrup, the holes are small. They abandoned it and haven’t been back. Poor representation for an Oriole feeder. Even the hummingbirds not keen on it. A real disappointment as our Orioles are gone. Don’t buy it.

Absolutely beautiful but came broken
Visually this is a very pretty feeder. Unfortunately came broken and I have requested and exchange. I will re-evaluate this once the new feeder comes in and I'm able to use it

good except
didn't last a second season. Went to set up for this oriole season and the bottom apparatus wouldn't screw on correctly, thought I had it but within a day I lost my solution so off to the garbage :( See if I can buy a cheap plastic one.
