despite the description (see screenshot), the pair I received was 65 poly/35 cotton rip stop, (which was appropriate for the price, so I figured it might be a typo and would give it a try). After a few washings, this fabric is the softer of their options. (50 nylon / 50 cotton version stays stiffer). Either fabric lasts functionally: rotating among four pairs seven days a week, I'm buying these because my ten-year old copies are no longer "nice pants", what with the paint spatters and a few burn holes. Three-quarters of my closet is this design. I use the shin pockets to carry water bottles, the inner knee pockets keep some small parts upright and separated, and the outer knees are carrying other gear. The design choice that I don't like is using an internal drawstring to adjust waist. (the outer slide buckle on other designs is much easier to actually take advantage of). But since I always have a belt this isn't really an issue except for while getting dressed. with a 37" inseam, the long version is a good length, and they have finally adjusted the knee reinforcement location. (it used to be that all the extra fabric was at the bottom and the knees would be mid thigh)

great pants, poor stitch quality
The pants are everything that I expected except for a few small issues. Stitch quality appears to be very poor, but the pants appear to hold together. I always seem to be finding loose stitching. Also, I would appreciate some extra belt loops (particularly on the back side). Lastly, I have a large muscular ass and thighs with a smaller waist. I purchased the Small Short instead of the Medium Short because my Medium Short pants from Tru-Spec are a little over 2 inches larger in the waist. I assumed that everything else would fit relatively similar, but my nuts were being crushed by inseam stitching since the crotch is not gusseted. Additionally, I lost a fair amount of room in the hip section which made getting my hands into the pockets a pain in the ass. While my mobility was mostly retained, the more constrained fit made these pants undesirable for my use

Fantastic pants! Sizing is extremely tricky...
First the good: The quality is nothing short of amazing. This is my second foray into purchasing BDU's. My first pair were quality and a great fit at a FANTASTIC price, however after seeing the Tru Specs in a magazine, I made it my mission to own a pair and have not been disappointed with this wonderful Christmas present from me to ME! The fabric is quality and top notch, the multitude of pockets makes for an exceptionally large amount of space to carry most anything, which I am most always doing! Now the Bad (or not so great??): Sizing! My last pair were Rothco BDU's which fit like a charm in a large size, thanks in large part to the adjustable tabs on the waist. A little tug on either side made them fit exceptionally well and still look fantastic!! The Tru Specs meet and exceed all the quality of the Rothcos with the exception of the waist tabs. Instead, they have a draw string inside the pant which often times makes for an odd looking fit. I stand 6' 1'' and weigh roughly 190 so I ordered a large and found the waist to be a touch large and the length a little long as well. Beyond this inconsistency, these are fantastic quality pants, well worth the price tag!!!

High quality but not acceptable
I ordered these pants because I like functional clothes, not because I need part of a uniform, and I'd never worn anything cut like the ACU. From a quality perspective, I'd have to give this a 5/5, the fabric and stitching was great. The problem with the pants is that the front rise is huge. Waist and inseam were ok, but the front rise is almost to my sternum. The only thing I can figure is that it's meant to be cut so high, and that's why the ACU is so unflattering right? But it really begs for braces. There is also a plain draw string inside for sizing. I didn't go over the pants much at all after slipping them on and knowing they were going right back, so 4stars max. I returned these, since for everyday wear, I find them unwearable. But the pants themselves seem top notch. Shame I can't get the same pocket layout in something more civilian.

Tru-Spec TRU Pants
I've worn this brand and style now for about 6 years. And yes, I am still wearing the very first pair I bought. It is almost impossible to wear these pants out from casual everyday use and wash (at least once each weak). Once I tried a pair of these, I shelved the jeans. These are much more comfortable and just try to get as many years out of any brand of jeans! After 6 years the Velcro has gotten a little week, but no holes or rips. Now the reason for only 4 stars: The button fly is a bit of a hassle and unless you just happen to fall into the exact size of the small, medium, or large the waist is either too big or too small. Same with the length. The medium-regular works perfectly for me because I am 34 waist and 32 length, 5 10 and 178 lbs. Of all the other military style pants these are my favorite and I have tried them all.

I like these pants
I do like the Tru Spec TRP. The material is quite comfortable in various weather conditions. I work outside and today was a raw cold rainy day and my pants were comfy the whole time. I like the pockets, like the reinforcements in the knees and seat. The hook&loop instead of buttons on the pockets is a bit of a let down it seems like a cheap short cut to me. I can't quite understand why any pants have button flies anymore. If its to pay homage to good ol' fashioned BDUs then the we need to step into the 21st century. Getting those top buttons undone in a hurry when nature calls is pure torture and goodness help you if the waist string gets tied in a knot at that time too. Thus the deduction on the potential 5 star rating. These pants a pretty good and I like them Tru Spec could make me love them.

QUALITY DETERIORATING
I have for years been a fan of Tru Spec products, having purchased several pairs of TRU pants about 10 years ago in Multicam. Fit and quality were excellent. Their 24/7 pants always of great quality, leg width only slightly too big. But my last couple of pairs of the TRU pants one in 50/50 nycot and this pair in the 65/35 blend just seem to not be of a similar quality as previous lots of loose threads, inside finish seems to be very untidy and the legs are huge. Whilst waist fitment is fine the upper leg could fit two of my legs and my legs are quite stocky, they would look pretty silly on a person with skinny legs. Whilst they still have all the great features of the past, and are still a great pant, I just think that the quality of manufacture has gone downhill. One redeeming quality is that they were half the price than purchased in Australia, when I can find them here.

really great product. super quality
really great product. super quality. I miss read the sizing chart and unfortunately it was too large. Contacted seller and made arrangement to return it. Seller easy to work with. I will order them again in a smaller size.
